Prior to the California primary, Barack Obama was well ahead of Hillary Clinton in many polls and Mitt Romney seemed to be inching ahead of John McCain. Yet the results turned out to be just the opposite of what polls indicated. What happened?
The answer is that the Hispanic vote was underestimated. As many pundits have pointed out, Hispanics lean heavily toward Clinton, despite the fact that Obama traveled to Ca. and touted his support for driver’s licenses for illegals. The question is why?
It’s obvious why Hispanics support McCain; after all, he still supports amnesty and, unlike Romney, would transform America into Mexico North (just picture the California border extending to Bangor, Maine). Yet, since both Democrats would visit that upon us even more quickly, Hispanics’ love affair with Clinton can be attributed to something quite different:
Race.
I suppose none 0f the other pundits want to say it, but, in general, Hispanics don’t like blacks. I know, this doesn’t accord with the left’s only-whitey-is-racist meme, but it’s true.
If you look at Hispanic cultures, this is obvious, as having lighter skin is often held in high esteem. In Mexico, for instance, light, blond-haired women are all the rage on TV, and the ruling class is white, despite the fact that whites only constitute a few percent of the total population. Then, do I need to remind you of the increasing frequency of turf wars between Hispanics and blacks in Ca.?
Remember also that while white America is in the grip of political correctness, it is absent within other groups. In most countries, people are taught that the moral thing is to put your group first. Again, few will say this, but it’s true.
Getting back to Obama, when he campaigns in states with small Hispanic populations and large white ones, he does quite well. This is why he’s now the favorite to capture the Democrat nomination. Mexifornia and Nueva York are out of the way, so it could be smooth sailing for the Illinois demagogue from here.
It could be the old soldier versus the pretty, empty (note the comma) package in November.
Ain’t America grand?
