Only Man to Ever Escape from Notorious North Korean Prison Control Zone Tells His Story

This is the story of Shin Dong-hyuk, the only man known to have escaped from a North Korean prison camp "Special Control Zone." He was born in the camp and didn't even know the outside world existed. He was tortured brutally and forced to watch the executions of his mother and brother.  Note that this is what happens when a civilization is in the grip of an evil, godless ideology.

    This man’s story sickens me from the tip of my tongue to the end of my small intestine. His story should bring a well spring of pride to all of those who fought in the Korean War. The brave men who sacrificed in that war not only served their country well but prevented perhaps millions of others the same fate as this young man. The war in Iraq is no different! The freedom being won over there right now will serve generations of millions. A small example of the CHANGE in Iraq. President Bush recently had a shoe thrown at him in Iraq. Does this take courage? Imagine if he would have thrown the shoe at Sadam! The shoe thrower, in his protest, made a significant point; but not the one he intended…he is free! Thank you Veterans past, present and future! Each of us that will never smell the burning flesh on an electric fence, or taste the bile of true hunger, owe you all a debt we can not repay. From the musket packing Minuteman, to the infantry man in Afghanistan, THANK YOU!
