Paparazzi By Selwyn Duke

It seems as if Michael Jackson has done the impossible. That is, he
appears to be getting more media coverage — and more of the favorable
variety — in death than Barack Obama does in life.

Ever since the notorious entertainer suffered his untimely demise on
June 25, the news has inundated us with, seemingly, all Jackson all of
the time.

Speaking as a devoted admirer of the philosophy and social commnetary of Selwyn Duke, I am disappointed by his citing of remarks by Confucius rather then the words of our Almighty God in th Apostle Paul’s Epistle to the Romans in which the sixth chapter is devoted to this subject matter. Tsk tsk.
Selwyn does however speak to the greater point that we Americans seem to be more willing to be deluded than to know Truth.
The entire cosmetic industry is proof of this and, despite the considerable economic crisis, this industry still thrives.
How many of you watch American Idolatry? Shame on ALL of you. You belong to the class of the willfully deluded. How many of you play some sort of “fantasy” sport? Again, woe unto you for permitting yourself to be deluded.
Many say that we have the government that we deserve. I would have to reluctantly concur. Others say that the price of liberty is eternal vigilence and to those that indulge in the interests that I have previously mentioned, my verdict is this: guilty.
Furthermore, my personal pain and suffering, as well as the suffering of my progeny is guilt by association. I vehemently disagree with the celebrity culture of our times and refuse to be seduced by the illusions and lies that our major media attempt to force-feed us with and yet I and my loved ones suffer as the result of this mass delusion.
I WILL have my day, however. If Holy Scripture is to be trusted (has there been a more trusted and reliable source of information, inspiration and prophesy in mankind’s history?) I, and others like me will sit in judgement of those that oppose the will of our Creator.
    Oh, happy day!

    Edward,
To which part are you referring? Perhaps you explain which part of the OP you observe to be nuts!
    Thanks,
