2230652_blog Disallowing Rush Limbaugh from buying into the St. Louis Rams is just
the latest example of how the conservative is quickly becoming today’s
pariah.

By Selwyn Duke

In 1950, Senator Joe McCarthy began the anti-communist crusade that
would eventually make him a notorious public figure. Along with the
House Committee on Un-American Activities (HCUA) (with which he
actually had no direct involvement), he took on the task of
investigating communists who, in typical Gramscian style, occupied
positions of influence in American society.

To call McCarthy “controversial” would be an understatement. He has, in
fact, become one of the most maligned men in American history, so much
so that the term “McCarthyism” has come to refer to the practice of
using scurrilous and unsubstantiated accusations for the purposes of
stifling opposition. My view of the Wisconsin senator, however, is a
bit more nuanced. While I believe he certainly was guilty of self-promotion, there’s also little doubt in my mind that he was correct
about communist infiltration into the U.S. — even if he couldn’t always
identify the infiltrators.

It seems to me that all the negative vibes this blowhard (Rush Hudson Limbaugh A.KA. Jeff Christie) has been spewing over these many years has come back to blow back on his face (A classic “Blow Back”). He always tries to give off the airs that he can have anything he wants but as we all witness those with more money and more influence tossed him aside like sack of potatoes and the ultimate insult was that it was done in public (money don’t buy you everything butterball).
Now of course he blames everyone else (Michael J. Fox, Perez Hilton, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Sonia Sotomayor, Hillary Clinton, Olympia Snowe, ESPN, NFL, the media, basically people of color, the handicapped, women and gays) when of course all you have to do is listen to his show and plainly hear his daily prejudices filled sermons. So NFL, I salute you decision, job well done. And to the whaling cry baby perched on his self made pedestal, quit your whining it was your own fault. Don’t we all feel better?

What a surprise! The bloated Hindenburg of the American fascist right has put his foot in his mouth again. Well, the down side of that is that chunky-moneybags doesn’t get to buy his football team. How can he go on?
The up side is that he got to see his foot for the first time in ages. I guess he can console him self with pharmaceuticals. Oh, I forgot he doesn’t do that anymore.
Still listening to the gas bag is always fun. He’s one of, if not the, best Judas Goats going. What a patriot! I surprised he let some ingrown hair on his back side keep him out of the Vietnam War. Well, actually…I’m not.
Maybe next, some vice cop will catch him tapping his foot under the stall and he’ll just go away for good.

I think Orcinus says it best here
“To Bill O’Reilly and Juan Williams and the rest of the Fox crew, the outrage is never the atrocities they actually uttered, only the effrontery of having those atrocities held against them. They all want to make a victim of the bully and a bully of the victim. Their narrative is that the real story is not the atrocities that Rush Limbaugh utters but only the attempt by his political enemies to make political hay out of it.
But then, they’re working out of a long and storied tradition when they do.”
Rush has made a career out of race baiting (as you guys call it) finally it’s jumped up and bit him in the bum when he tries to buy into a predominantly black sport. The horror! Given that the right trusts in a totally free market with no restrictions i cant see your problem. If the market judges him a liablility so be it.
PS using the foul Macarthy in your argument may not have been the strongest point.

Yoyo, I’ve got news for you. All this exposure is helping Rush’s career tremendously. This is true when that idiot Obama criticizes him and it’s true now. Also, does it matter to you at all that people were passing around phony quotations that were said to be by him? If he’s that bad why do people have to lie about him to discredit him?

john the funny thing to me wa the fake quotes were actually much milder that his real quotes. but then i find it hard to weep tears for a drug f*kd, multiple marriaged blowhard who would care less than nothing for most americans. The hysterically funny thing is watching poorer americans supporting a man who wouldn’t spit on them if they were burning. And NO John only people who already like rush and the other radio fools are at all concerned . He wont gain new fans for his failed attempt to buy a football or baseball team when so many americans are worried about keeping their house. The gift the keeps on giving!

“all you have to do is listen to his show and plainly hear his daily prejudices filled sermons”
Have you actually listened to his show? A whole show and heard one of these supposedly prejudiced statements?
Or do you just listen to out of context comments and fake quotes and listen to what other people tell you he said and what to think about him?
Somehow I believe its the latter. And don’t insult my intelligence but telling me you have.
The real racists are people like you and the news casters. “Visions on his own plantation” or something like that, one commentator said. Shes the real racist. Cause what does she see when she thinks of the NFL? A sport thats full of black people. Not men, not football players……they are black people first. Gee, it couldn’t be that rush wanted to own part of a sporting team cause it would be an investment. Nooooooo CLEARLY its cause rush wants to be a PART owner of a bunch of black men! (aren’t there white people on the rams as well? I dunno, I couldn’t care less about football)
People like you are beyond disgusting. Why? Cause you don’t even have the DECENCY to ASSUME that someone ISN’T a racist. Oh he mentioned X race, RACIST. Don’t like obama, RACIST. Someone cant even mention a FACT, without being called a racist. Like the FACT, that blacks have disproportionately higher incarceration rates, despite being a minority. Now, I know what you going to say “Thats cause the courts are biased!” Which already proves my earlier point. You ASSUME that its racism. (so its ok for you to assume its racism, but if I assume anything thats racist.Hypocrisy) But it also comes from a flawed extension of a truth.
TRUTH. All people are created equal and are blank slates. And no “race” is superior or inferior to another.
MYTH. Given that the above is true, therefore all CULTURES associated with a certain race are irrelevant and don’t contribute or corrupt.
Which creates the false assumption that all “races”/cultures are the same and prison populations should be more or less equal to the associated states population. Which is of course a flawed, and dangerous assumption. Cause when you assume that, when that becomes THE truth and that HAS to be the way things are because every other notion goes against what you believe should be true, it blinds you to truth.
Case in point. Rap music and the thug lifestyle. Whats it do? Glorifies stealing, cheating, lieing, killing, drug use, dont snitch, “fuck the police”, do whatever you gata do to get your bling and get rich sentiment, etc. Which is prominent and ENCOURAGED in black communities by rappers and their peers. No, clearly it couldn’t be this poor influence that turns innocent children into criminals, its THE WHITE MAN and RACISM. Plotting against black children while they are still in their cribs! (baby cribs, not homes).

Yes PLEASE DO yoyo. Send us ALL these “racist” quotes. Each must have a either a CREDIBLE source, siting a day and time when Rush supposedly said them OR a link to sound byte with full context intact. No 2 second bytes of him in mid sentence saying “the blacks” Also, they must be “RACIST”, not “racially charged” not “could be considered racist”. An actual disparaging remark. Something to the effect of “blacks are X” “Mexicans are Y” or a racial slur not being used in a logical discussion.
Anything else will be considered invalid and a lie. Leftists have already proven that they are not above flat out lieing and fabricating quotes to defame Mr. Limbaugh.

I am a football fan and back in 2007 when Rush made the hyperbolus statement the NFL was a mess with character issues on the field and off. The game was becoming a side show to the antics and Rush was simply drawing attention to it using a hyperbolas simile. The direction the NFL was heading was going to lead to its failure. Since then the comish has put his foot down a number of times to clean up the game and those associated with it. I attribute the bad behavior those days to the peak of steroid use rather than cultural or racial. Some of the players were in fact acting out some of the worst of the American black inner city rap cultural behaviors; peaked by the behavior modification of steroids. The NFL was a disgrace and black players were the majority of the ones in the spotlight but any spotlight in the NBA or NFL is going to have a higher percentage of black players…simple math. There were a few white players acting foolishly then as well such as Bill Romanowski but his behavior was just associated with a common every day ass.
I have listened to Rush off and on for 20 years or so and I find him kind of entertaining but marginally thought provoking (he usually states the obvious over and over). Yes he says shocking things every now and again but if you listen to him you will know he is no racist; perhaps a tactless prick but racist no. I prefer Mike Savage he is a bit more thought provoking..

    And…..7 counts of fail.
#1 Barack the magic negro was coined by the L.A. times. Not rush. The song “the magic negro” was done making fun of THEM calling him the magic negro.
#2 “wants us to have the same health care and plan that he had in Kenya” Thats racist…how? “wants to be the black FDR” So, he can be the first “black president” but he cant be the “black FDR”. Make up your minds. Are we able to say or point out hes black or not?
#3 Again. Are we, or are we not allowed to point out that hes black? Also, you broke a rule. No out of context quotes.
    #4 Same rule broken again.
    #5 Again.
    #6 So?
#7 How is that racist? If anything its a comment on how he thinks the survivor people are the racists. Cause if the white team was winning, not only did it not fit the template, it would make the survivor people look racist against blacks.
So, you were basically disqualified by not following any of the rules. I said, sited with CREDIBLE sources, with TIME AND DAY. Full context also had to be established.
So, do you need to say more? Actually, yes. Cause you haven’t said anything that qualifies.

matt, I’m sorry you just exposed yourself. For example no-one thinks rush was creative enough to write “Obama the magic negro” but no decent human being would sing it, just like only members of Stormfront sing their theme song. There is no ironic way to play this one even if Rush was smart enough to do so.
As for you dismissal of a SAMPLE of his comments, again what can i say? I sincerely hope no Asian or Black Americans have to share an office with someone who truly believes these comments are just danady. Do you try the “I have a black friend who thinks I’m ok” line too?
Just for an example, how would you feel about Bush described as a little white boy baby?
Do you really want all the video, this website aint that keen on huge links of attachments,
    Here’s a little more context
LIMBAUGH: Oh, my golly gosh! Listen to that! As though these women are members of a slave troop — they are in bondage and they are dragged out before the poles at the “Bada Bing.” They’re dragged out at all these strip clubs and they are forced to dance nekkid — and it’s the first step toward domestic violence.
Dirty little secret here is that some of these women dancing nekkid — and I’m not talking about this babe. Ah, might be — a lot of them are single mothers. They’re divorced, and they can earn 100 grand a year at a good club doing this sort of stuff. And they’re protected. But this is the hypocrisy: The Reverend Jackson will climb all over everybody who violates his boundaries and his rules — but he has no boundaries. He has no rules. He never has to apologize. Like I told you, minorities never do anything for which they have to apologize.
Wow, what a gentleman, this fat bloated, drug addict is your idea of a race warrior. Well good for you, so long as the oxyccodin and sex aids aren’t limited and you are not locked on an island with him where you may look too much like a food source, Rush is your man.

I don’t listen to Rush, so I can’t comment on him, but I do watch O’reil’y. When other media outlets ‘quote’ him, they most always quote him wrong. Sure, he’s a boar to his guests sometimes, but he speaks the truth on facts, and has solid opinions. The media loves to twist what others’ say, so make sure when you hear of a person saying it, that you look into it and get the truth.
All sides do it, and it’s up to us to search for the truth. Remember the photo of Obama ‘checking out’ a 16 year old? Not everything is as some people spin it.

Yoyo, this post is in continuation from the multi-cultural debate from black-latino race war thread. I wanted you to check out this video when you get some time. This video is a debate between Jared Taylor, president of new century foundation and editor of American Renaissance magazine, and Dr. Peter March a sociologist professor from the Uni of Halifax(I believe) It is a very professional and lively debate.
The subject, Racial diversity: A strength or weakness.
I believe Jared articulates my point better than anyone I know. I found Dr. March elusive on the critical issues but check it out for yourself and see If my point is anymore clear.

What does that have to do with anything and how does it prove he is a racist?
I love how you completely dodged the fact that you broke the rules of my challenge. Its ok, I never expect a liberal to be intellectually honest. I dismissed your “sample” of his comments cause you did not meet all the criteria for even one of them.
How would I like bush to be described a white baby boy? I really wouldn’t care. He is white, and unlike liberals, the rest of us in reality land view skin color as nothing more than an aesthetic choice God gifted us, you view it as an identity. And hes not a baby boy like obama is cause he, his administration, and the media didn’t whine, and bitch and moan and cry racism every time someone criticized him. He took it like a man.
Obama is like a 5 year old that cries cause his parents couldn’t decipher that a bunch of unintelligible scribbles was supposed to be a puppy or a family portrait. Any bit of criticism of obama, his policy’s or his actions is met with hostility by him, his staff, and the media circling the wagons for him.
Cause he and his blind followers (whom a member of the Taliban would be astonished at their unwavering dedication to an ideal/person) wont stfu for 5 seconds about him being black AND that hes like a baby boy who needs protecting. Which is why rush called him a black baby boy.
And again, what EXACTLY about the quote that you presented is RACIST. Oh no, he mentioned the word slave, CLEARLY that makes him a racist. Cause the word SLAVE could only be refering to a civil war plantation style black slave. Riiiight.
You people hyper react to anything that could even be related to something racist and label it racist or bigoted.
You completely lack any common sense or ability for deep or analytical thoughts. Heres a few words youd prolly deem racist…..but aren’t. Niggardly, niggling, chigger, aspic.
And heres a bunch of words that you prolly use, but didn’t know they had racist origins! Hooligan, vandal, hip hip hooray, barbarian, bugger, cannibal, gyp. Use those words……ever? Racist.
So, the point of that was. Its not what words you use, its both your understanding of them and intent. And you judge rushes intent off of loose associations with words. Ill bet you didn’t know that one of rushes CLOSE FRIENDS is black. Ken Hutcherson. And he doesn’t think rush is racist. Unless of course you are then going be extremely racist yourself and say that hes a sell out, or an uncle tom, or insult his intelligence (he has a PHD) and say hes too stupid to know that rush is a racist. You leftists love to quote the bible out of context with “judge not lest ye be judged” so why don’t you do us all a favor and take your out of context interpretation and stop judging rush Limbaugh.
“Do you really want all the video, this website aint that keen on huge links of attachments,”
What do you mean do I want all that video? All of what video? Do you mean you have a video of those quotes? Uhhh ya. William Regnery, a funder of racist organizations and publications, including The Occidental Quarterly, a racist journal whose articles often focus on race and intelligence.
    Speakers at the conference included:
    J. Philippe Rushton, head of the Pioneer Fund, who promotes eugenics and an alleged link between race and intelligence;
    Bruno Gollnisch, a member of the National Front, a far-right French political party, who lamented the existence of the European Union for what he saw as its un-democratic nature and assault on national sovereignty ;
Jared Taylor, who discussed why the vast majority of whites do not accept “race realism,” the idea that racial differences are real and that it is natural and healthy for groups to segregate along racial lines. Jared is in the same camp as Steven Sailor of VDare (urgh shudder and just a little more polite than Hal Turner (luckily arrested.)

Look you guys understand American foot ball more than I do
Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay said this afternoon that the divisive rhetoric of prospective Rams minority owner Rush Limbaugh makes him unappealing.
“I myself couldn’t even think of voting for him,” said Irsay speaking from the NFL’s fall ownership meetings in Boston.
Asked if he’d spoken to other owners about Limbaugh’s candidacy, Irsay said, “I haven’t and I don’t think I would even go to the point of talking to Tony Dungy, Jim Caldwell, Dwight Freeney, talking to those men and seeing what their positions are. I’m very sensitive to know there are scars out there. I think as a nation we need to stop it. Our words do damage and it’s something that we don’t need. We need to get to a higher level of humanity and we have.
“I come from a different era where Marvin Gaye and John Lennon were speaking about [certain things] and we’ve been doing a slow crawl to some of the things they talked about. We don’t need to go the other way,” Irsay added. “We can’t go the other way where there isn’t forgiveness and understanding but we gotta watch our words in this world and our thoughts because they can do damage.”
So since it’s your country and your sport what the F*k are you complaigning about?

Whoa! Foul on the play! A fifteen-day penalty and loss of down is assessed on Yoyo for “Blatant Abdication of Facts”.
Yoyo, my dear, it pains me to defend Rush Limbaugh. I do not like his program; I can admit that he can be tremendously funny (i.e. referring to Barney Frank as “the Banking Queen” and referring to the Clinton library as the William Jefferson Clinton Memorial Library and Massage Parlor”). It is also nearly impossible to argue with his points. I remind you, that I am not a fan of his and I listen only occasionally (and usually accidentally) but it is true that he employs a leftist organization (and pays them handsomely) to review his shows for fact-check accuracy. The results: He is factually correct in more than 99% of his assertions.
I remind you again that I am not a fan of his show and an occasional listener at best. I do not know this man, so I am woefully inadequate at judging his thoughts (as you, and everyone else who has posted here is also). However, I HAVE met people who have met him and know him personally (he is interested in property in my market region and I am very loosely connected with interest). To a man and woman, I have heard nothing but good things about his character and personal virtue.
Whether or not you listen to Rush Limbaugh, or are a fan of his program, you are an absolute DOLT if you do not see this as an attack on all of us. This is THOUGHT CONTROL, you IMBECILES!!!!! It is the same as the ban on Michael Savage by Great Britain. Let me ask you lemmings and martinets: what makes you think that your thoughts are so “pure” that your thoughts also would not be persecuted? Have you never learned of Pol Pot? Do you not know what happens when evil children rise to power and abdicate the righteous instruction of their elders? Don’t answer that.
Lastly, I wish to address this vulgar and obnoxious and TOTALLY misinformed missive by my precious yoyo: “PS using the foul Macarthy in your argument may not have been the strongest point.
Yoyo, take a history lesson. EVERY, and I insist EVERY accusation made by Senator McCarthy was vindicated when Boris Yeltsin released the Venona Decrypts. These were decrypts of KGB files that were encoded for Soviet security reasons. EVERY person, and I repeat AGAIN: EVERY… EVERY LAST STINKING ONE of the persons McCarthy accused of being a Communist subversive was on Kremlin payroll. EVERY LAST ONE. So shove your blatantly false character assassination up your you-know-what and your “point” is baseless and a flat-out lie. You want names? I’ll give you names, you (I am about to use the most vulgar insult that I can conjure, but I am constrained by conscience and gentlemanly decorum from doing so). Here are names: Alger Hiss. Whitaker Chambers. Lauchan Currie (an influential confidant in Truman’s White House), John Stewart Service (who looked the other way and lied to U.S. State department while a young “leader” named Mao Tse Tung overthrew the Western-friendly government of Chaing Kai Shek. The blood of more than 60 million human beings is on his hands, and, by extension and by way of your sympathies, on YOURS.
You (nor anyone else reading this) does not have to believe me. You probably right me off and dismiss me just as you do Savage and Limbaugh. EFF You!!!!! I do not make this up. My claims are documented in the “Venona Papers” and the more poignant book “Blacklisted by History: The Untold Story of Senator Joe McCarthy and his Fight Against America’s Enemies”, a brilliant book by M. Stanton Evans.
I am absolutely appalled at your character-assassination of this great man. Would to God that EVERY political leader were as dedicated to representing his constituency and his country. DO NOT reply to me until you have read this work and learn how you and your fellow-travelers are deceived by the lemmings and the sissies in the major media.
It is unlike me to lose my temper in this fashion and I am spitting mad right now. It is about time that you leftist lunatics own up to who you are and tell us why we should “buy into” your agenda using facts and truth, But you cannot. You are deceived. You believe lies; pernicious lies and what have your lies and your belief in them wrought, besides misery and human suffering. In my circle, we say, “live free or die”. I say to you, “grow up, lest your kill us all”.

    Dear yoyo,
I hesitate to pick on you again, but reading through this last list of “points” there is no logical arguent to any of them.
The point of race as being a factor is percievable only to true racists (like you) who perceive any alleged “slight” regarding minorities as slander rather than reality. It is YOU and those like you that are the true racists. Farbeit from me to defend former President George W, Bush, but he was absolutely correct in identifying this as the “soft bigotry of low expectations”. It is you so-called “liberals” that are the true racists, the true bigots. In your hearts you do not truly believe that minorities are just as capable as anyone else; so you throw them hand-outs (of other people’s money, NEVER your own) and push for programs such as Affirmative Action (known by sensible human beings as Institutionalized Racism) and what is the result?
More poverty. More crime. More racial division. Increased dropout rates. Lower test scores.
To you and your ilk, I wish to quote Bob Dylan:

You have never met any of these people personally, nor have you attennded a conference in which one of them was a live speaker.
By my observation, you are a child. A snotty, insolent brat of one at that. Your arguments are hoplessly devoid of fact yet redolent with insults and character assassinations.
I am compelled to ask, why do you post here? Do you not read Selwyn’s (and his guest’s) articles? If so, how can it be that you have not learned a single thing from them? Huh?
Or is it merely that you wish to agitate? Are you like the many lame-brained California “so-called” liberals who plaster the bumpers of their Prius’ with ridiculous bumper stickers such as the one that says “Coexist” (of which the very first symbol renders the rest of the message utterly meaningless)?
I once admired you for your ability to cogently debate. No longer. Could it be that, since I have not responded for a couple of days that you thought I wasn’t looking? I don’t intend to flatter myself but that is sure how it seems.
Shame on you. I had high hopes for you as one in which I could engage in meaningful debate. As usual, your debate devolves into factless innuendo and meaningless talking points, taken from the tingling leg of uber-sissy Chris Matthews and the soiled underpants of uber-lunatic Keith Olbermadmann.
You have become tiresome. Please grow up.

Shaun and Philip wow you boys have really got your knickers in a twist, you ask about my motivation similar to yours I suppose a hope that people of good faith can at least look at the other side. Given the bitterness of your last respoinses (you would think I’d tried to eat you grandmother) maybe it is not possible. From my background I have spent many years trying to fix the world around me and sacrificied much income to do so. I have seen first hand what hatred of homosexuals means in wonderful people who died without family support due to fear of gays spured by ignorant reading of the bible. I have also met wonderful priests who really bel;ieve in the gosples and community.
Yes I think Macarthy was a bad man, NO it is not true that all the individuals whose lives were damaged by his pogroms were communist plants and I’m surprised that anyone would still think so. He was a creature of his times and his income and profile was dependent on his reputation as a commie hunter, in his own papers he acknowledged mistakes, why can’t you?
Phil why are you so pissy? I have not yet said you are arguing in bad faith, is it so scary to discuss things with a progressive? The only reason I’ve been commenting here for the last couple of week is an attempt to put my interest where my mouth is. People on my side of politics (not Prius drivers) just cannot understand how people can hold the beliefs that you do. Unlike many, I DONT think you are all rascists or bigots, that’s why I have stood up for you at times. But this screaching response is very disapointing you have not even determined what I have said that was beyond the pale. If you dont want to talk to me I cant make you, it just confirms the idea that the rightwing doesn’t want to defend their ideas. Best wishes for your life anyway.
