   The notion that same sex marriage is a “threat ” to “traditional marriage ” and will “destroy” the family and bring down the wrath of some imaginary bronze age semitic sky god who supposedly hates gay people down on America is absolutely idiotic .
   SSM does not interfere with anyone else’s rights and will not stop opposite sex couples from getting married and having children . Nor will it lead to the leagalization of incest , polygammy, pedophilia, bestiality etc .
   There is not one shred of evidence that being raised by gay parents is in any way “harmful tochildren ” or that it will “make them gay ” and put them at risk of molestation .
   “Traditional marriage ” does not need to be “defended .” It’s the rights of gay people which need defense, because they are under attack by bigoted people in America . Denying gay people the right to marry is not the only thing homophobes are trying to do . Their ultimate goal is to take away more and more rights from gay people and ultimately to have the U.S. government persecute innocent people who have neverharmed anyone merely because they happen to be gay . This must never be allowed ! If gay people do not deserve equal rights in America , then no one deserves any rights at all !
   The religious freedom of Christians in not threatened by SSM . Religious freedom does not include the right to discriminate against others because of your religious beliefs .
