Below is an interesting video about the development of artificial intelligence, which many say will augment humanity and physicist Stephen Hawking says can end humanity. This technology has been described as "creepy," and I don't necessarily disagree, but I also have to wonder if what we presently have truly is artificial intelligence or just computers programmed in a novel way.

By the by, the video contains a ridiculous segment on climate change. They cite the two recent hurricanes as evidence the sky is falling, while ignoring that the big weather story until recently was that we hadn't had a major hurricane in a great number of years. So forget artificial intelligence — I'd settle for a bit of the natural variety.
