The Democrats and legacy media hate ICE. I mean, they really, really despise it, driven by compassion for the huddled masses, right?
Not exactly. The truth is more nuanced — and darker. Many in media and the useful idiots activists in the streets certainly have been catalyzed into believing Immigration and Customs Enforcement is trampling innocent souls yearning to breathe free. But with Machiavellian, upper-echelon Democrats, the “wrath” either is kabuki theater or, when genuine, has a different motivation.
For insight into it, consider what the Daily Caller’s Geoffrey Ingersoll relates today:
A Center for Immigration Studies analysis … found that both legal and illegal immigration contributed to the shifting of 17 House seats and 17 Electoral College votes. The shift netted Dems +14 seats.
“That Democratic net gain is greater than the respective electoral votes of all but ten states,” Peter Kirsanow of National Review wrote.
Now consider the following, courtesy of political analyst Ryan Girdusky:

“Well,” Ingersoll notes, “now we’re getting to the heart of the matter, eh?”
And as X respondent John Ennis added under the above tweet:
Another way to put this is that the Democrats illegally imported enough people to steal a congressional seat, and Trump is undoing that fraud[.]
Actually, they’ve illegally imported enough people over the decades to steal a multitude of seats and elections. In other words, imagine it were as with the Jim Carrey character in the 1997 film Liar Liar. Imagine a spell were put on these Machiavellian Democrats rendering them incapable of lying (ah, what a fantasy!). When asked why they opposed ICE, the below is essentially what we’d hear.
“You’re taking our deceitfully gained extra congressional seats and future voters away! Following the law will rob us of power!”
The Name of the Game
For the uninitiated, know that more illegals really do equal greater political clout. First, the number of congressional seats a state is given (i.e., “apportionment”) is determined by its population. And when censuses are conducted, illegals count toward your population (per constitutional interpretation).
Moreover, studies have shown that illegal aliens sometimes do vote and that they can, in certain cases, sway elections. As Ingersoll emphasized, quoting Anduril CEO Palmer Luckey:
“Debates regarding illegal immigration often focus on policy issues like welfare, healthcare, crime, economic contribution, etc. That is a distraction.
Democracy is the real issue. Status quo is that any city or state desirous of greater power can declare a suspension of federal law and import millions of illegal aliens for the purpose of inflating their electoral votes and Congressional representation.”
That really is the ballgame, folks. Like most things coming from the political left these days, the reality is inverted. It’s not about welfare or the community. It’s not about empathy. They patently do not care if you are assaulted on the subway. They don’t care if Javier, the peaceful illegal, is getting ruthlessly exploited.
It’s strictly about power.
A particular reality should be emphasized here, too. When certain states cheat, it affects the whole nation — all of us — because it influences the national legislature’s composition.
Moreover, this skulduggery is even more damaging than it appears at first blush. After all, the number of congressional seats is set statutorily and is currently limited to 435. This means that when an illegal-migration-enabling state steals a seat, a state playing by the rules loses one. It’s another case wherein dishonesty is rewarded — at the expense of the honest.
Would Fiddle While America Burns
Despite this, and as a testimonial to propaganda’s effects, many Americans now consider ICE’s enforcement overly severe. But is it? Let’s examine the numbers.
“Official” data hold that there are approximately 14 million illegals in the United States. Yet a 2018 MIT study determined that the actual number was closer to 22.1 million. (And, in reality, there have been 40-60 million “got aways” since 1995.) This was before, too, the Biden administration facilitated anywhere from 7.2 million (official figure) to perhaps 15 million additional illegals’ entry. But there is out-migration as well, in fairness, so this phenomenon isn’t strictly additive.
So a very conservative estimate of our illegal-alien population might be 20 million. And how many has President Donald Trump deported so far during his second term?
Approximately 600,000 (which was the Trump administration’s stated 2025 goal).
This is a mere three percent of 20 million.
So is ICE really being too aggressive?
There have, in addition, also been a supposed 1.5-2.0 million voluntary departures, though precise numbers are elusive. Illegal activity’s secretive nature often makes it hard to measure.
The Immigrationists’ Most Dangerous Pets
And who are the people currently being deported? Commentator Bill O’Reilly asserts they’re mainly criminals and those in their immediate orbit. Some of these illegals are pretty bad hombres, too.
Just consider some examples The New American provided January 7:
- Mong Cheng — homicide, vehicle theft, possession of stolen property, and assault;
- Tong Xiong — lewd or lascivious acts with a minor, sexual assault, kidnapping, assault, armed robbery;
- Tomas Espin Tapia, caught and released during the Biden administration — warrant in Ecuador for murder, warrant for sexual assault in Connecticut. Ordered removed in February;
- Julio Desiderio Naula-Jara — sexual assault, domestic violence, drunk driving;
- Liberian Blayon Lawrence Yuoh — rape, robbery, sexual assault, and more; and
- Vietnamese Hoang Xuan Nguyen — rape, child molestation, drunk driving.
This is just a minuscule sampling of the criminals ICE has cleared from American streets, too.
Oh, and why were they still there?
Because immigrationist demagogues such as Governor Tim Walz (D-Minn.) wouldn’t remove these dangerous predators. As O’Reilly has pointed out, these leftists don’t want any immigration enforcement.
And what if these criminals’ presence means more Americans are murdered, raped, assaulted, and maimed? Well, you’ve gotta break a few eggs to make an omelet.
And owing to Ingersoll’s and others’ insights, you now know what that omelet is: Unchallenged power for capons and clucking hens in a certain major party.
