In 1968, British politician Enoch Powell warned that the U.K.’s immigration policies were akin to “watching a nation busily engaged in heaping up its own funeral pyre.” They would ensure the demographic transformation of British cities, he predicted. He later warned of “civil war,” too.

In reaction, Powell was expelled from the Conservative Shadow Cabinet and condemned as a “racist.” Yet almost 60 years later, demographic transformation is obvious, with indigenous Brits now a minority in multiple U.K. cities. Civil war hasn’t erupted yet, of course, but something else has: predictions of it.

In fact, among the latest figures issuing one is a highly experienced, retired British military commander. As commentator J.B. Shurk reported last Wednesday in “Europe’s Civilizational War Will Be Bloody”:

It seems as if every month a new story comes out of Britain warning about the likelihood of future civil war. Retired colonel Richard Kemp recently gave a television interview during which he warned that the “Islamification” of the United Kingdom would lead to “inevitable conflict.” Several British academics specializing in the preconditions for civil conflict, including professors David Betz and Michael Rainsborough, have argued the same point.

Kemp’s point of view carries the added weight of someone who has witnessed insurgent fighting firsthand. A former commander who carried out counter-insurgency operations in Northern Ireland, led British forces in Afghanistan, and held intelligence roles in Westminster, Kemp says Islamic immigrants’ refusal to integrate into British society means that things in the U.K. are “getting bad” and about to “get worse.” Among other provocative comments that will no doubt ruffle the feathers of Britain’s “ruling class,” Kemp notes, “There were more British Muslims with the Taliban than in the British Army.”

Note a striking reality here, too: The default assumption is that time assures assimilation. Yet research has found that young British Muslims are more radical than their elders.

The result of this was seen, anecdotally and just recently, in the video below (warning: foul language). It features a relatively young, non-indigenous “Brit” addressing indigenous Brits’ accomplishments. “They’re not my ancestors,” he dismissively said with a typical English accent. “I don’t know whose ancestors they are.”

The Vanishing Indigenous

“England is English; esto perpetua,” wrote British philosopher G.K. Chesterton in 1922. “England is English as France is French or Ireland Irish; the great mass of men taking certain national traditions for granted.” Esto perpetua — “May it last forever.” And it did last for quite a bit longer, but then two related things happened.

One was moral, spiritual, and cultural decay.

The other was a curious Western obsession called “immigration.”

As to the U.K.’s indigenous (“white British”) population decline, here it is by the numbers, as compiled by Grok AI:

• 1971 (est.) — ~97.5 percent indigenous.
• 1981 (est.) — ~96.0 percent. This change was slight, but worth noting.
• 1991 (est.) — ~92.5 percent. Population erosion accelerating.
• 2001 — 87.5 percent. Now we’re witnessing a further intensifying decline. This being a West-wide phenomenon, note that this was also the year Swedish immigrationist Mona Sahlin made a telling comment. The “Swedes must be integrated into the new Sweden,” she proclaimed; “the old Sweden is never coming back.”
• 2011 — 80.5 percent. The rate increases again, and we’ve had an admission as to why. Andrew Neather, ex-aide to former U.K. Prime Minister Tony Blair, confessed in 2009 that the previous 15 years’ mass Third World migration had been orchestrated by his Labour Party to “rub the right’s nose in diversity and render their arguments out of date.”
• 2021 — 74.4 percent. At more than a quarter of U.K.’s population, the non-indigenous demographic is now significant. Related: By this time, we’ve heard an incredible suggestion from a French “intellectual” named Christian de Moliner. Create a quasi-Sharia state within France — sort of divide the country — he stated, to avoid civil war with “French” Muslims.
• 2026 (est.) — ~70.5 percent indigenous.

“Those Who Make Peaceful Revolution Impossible Will Make Violent Revolution Inevitable” — John F. Kennedy

Returning to Kemp, he isn’t optimistic about a peaceful resolution to this problem, either. As Modernity reported on his interview:

“No government, the government now or any prospective government of the UK, has the guts to stop it,” he said. “If they want to take strong action to prevent the Islamification of the UK, it’s going to mean big trouble for them. They don’t want trouble, they look four years ahead, they will kick the can down the road to someone else.”

This political shortsightedness, according to Kemp, is fueling the risk of “civil war in Europe.” He described a potential scenario resembling Northern Ireland but on a far more intense scale, where “you have the indigenous British and some of the immigrant population and the British government all on three different sides fighting against each other.”

The officer attributed the slim chances of maintaining social order to democratic dysfunction and a lack of real choice for voters.

“The big problem that British people have is they don’t have political choice. We don’t really live in a democracy,” Kemp asserted. “Whatever party you vote for, you get the same policies. That applies also to immigration and to the way in which the Islamic population is allowed to grow in numbers and dominance.”

This isn’t entirely true, though. In reality, British citizens could vote for Reform UK or whatever (currently obscure?) party would halt the demographic destruction. But for a couple of reasons they don’t.

First, unbeknownst to many, most people are “conservative” in that they tend toward the status quo. This means electorally that too many citizens instinctively vote for corrupt establishment parties — Labour or the Tories in the U.K.

Second, too many Westerners advocate moral corruption (aka “leftism” today). They thus won’t support common sense-oriented parties because they mistake realism for radicalism. To put it in perspective, consider American leftists. Whom do they dislike more: the most unassimilable foreigners entering our country — or Trump and his MAGA supporters? The answer is self-evident.

A Western Plague

That this intense internationalist hatred for nationalists exists throughout the West explains the immigration-invasion strategy. It was reflected, too, in a recent comment made by hard-left Spanish politician Irene Montero.

“I hope for ‘replacement theory,’” she unabashedly declared January 31. “I hope we can sweep this country of fascists and racists with immigrants. Whatever skin color you have, whether it’s black, Chinese, or brown” (video below).

“Whatever skin color” — except Montero didn’t mention white. And imagine: This woman was once Spain’s “Minister of Equality.”

This demographic warfare can be halted, however, and its effects reversed via the ballot box. President Donald Trump’s election proves this. After all, under his administration, we have net negative (im)migration for the first time in 50 years.

This won’t continue, though, if people fall victim to anti-immigration-enforcement propaganda. If voters are conned into believing that “Trump has gone too far” and re-empower the immigrationists, the colonization will resume.

That’s why people get the government they deserve. As to whether or not Westerners will deserve subjugation, that’s up to them, too.
