An organization called votevets.org has turned its guns on Rush Limbaugh, buying advertising time to attack him for his "phony soldiers" comment.  Of course, the only thing phony here is votevets.org.

This duplicitous organization has made the claim that Limbaugh was
impugning soldiers who have served our country but disagree with
the Iraq policy.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

In reality, Limbaugh was referring to actual phony soldiers,
people who impersonated servicemen for nefarious reasons.  This is
obvious if you listen to the comments in context.  But, hey, context
destroys leftist arguments, and we can’t have that.

There are two matters I want to address here.  First, what the
mainstream media generally fails to tell people is that votevets.org is
funded by George Soros, that leftist ideologue.  We need to be aware of
this because it’s important to know your source.  This organization is
not an "unbiased"  (there is no such thing an being unbiased, anyway)
entity that merely seeks to disseminate truth about the Iraq
situation.  Like everyone else, it has an agenda, and it shouldn’t be
hidden.

And that is one of the main differences between the left and right.
Generally speaking, those on the right wear their banners openly; there
is no pretense.  Be it Michael Savage, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity,
William F. Buckley, or someone else, we will tell you where we stand;
we make no bones about the fact that we’re on the right.

In contrast, how often do you hear a liberal admit he is just that?
Often it’s as if they have a God-complex; why, you can’t put them in
any box because they and their emotions are simply the standard by
which everything else must be judged.

The left is intellectually bankrupt.  This is why they have to
manufacture false stories in order to prevail politically; if the truth
backed up their agenda or damned their adversaries, they could rely
upon it.

But lies are all they have.

Dan Rather’s sources had to peddle forged documents to demonize
President Bush; then, the left had to lie about Michael Savage’s
comments on immigration, about Bill O’Reilly’s remarks about race,
about Pat Buchanan’s stance on the Holocaust, and now about Limbaugh’s
vis a vis the military.

As for those of us on the right, the truth matters because, generally
speaking, we believe in it — that is, with a capital "T."  I don’t
just want people to believe I’m right, I want to actually be
right.  And if through the relation of truth I cannot advance my cause or expose those who
oppose it, it’s what you call a clue.  It means that my
positions may not have a basis in truth and that I should re-evaluate
them.

After all, without truth, all you’re left with is the left.
