Once again proving that the Nobel Peace Prize is worth about as much as something you’d find in a cereal box, it has been awarded this year to propagandist Al Gore and the United Nations committee on climate change. This, despite the fact that Gore’s film, An Inconvenient Truth, has been shown to be ridden with falsehoods. Of course, the Nobel committee awarded their dubious prize to master terrorist Yasser Arafat in 1994, so who should be surprised? Gore is in good company.
Gore is a deceiver, about as credible as the ridiculous man-made climate change thesis he has been promulgating. As to this, it’s a testimonial to the power of the media and people’s lack of historical perspective that so many would subscribe to this global warming nonsense. We now know for a fact that the Earth experiences 1500-year cycles of warming and cooling and that most recently we have been emerging from what is known as the "Little Ice Age." I wrote a satirical piece about this earlier this year; give it a read if you want more information or investigate some of the other valid work that has been done on the subject.
Anyway, as I pointed out not long ago, we’re wasting our time thinking that we can alter the behavior of the nations, China and India, that will be the biggest polluters in the near future. Sitting around pontificating about man-made climate change fantasies is the avocation of effete westerners such as Al Gore. The developing world couldn’t care less.
