Obama’s Racist Associations

At American Thinker, writer Lee Cary treats Barack Hussein Obama’s racial hypocrisy.  After pointing out that Obama has been preaching a philosophy of inclusiveness, saying there is no black America or white America (the "uniter, not a divider" schtick), Cary exposes the hollowness of the senator’s words.  Writes Cary: 

On its website, Trinity UCC [Obama’s church] describes itself with these words:
We are a
congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically
Christian… Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition
are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain
"true to our native land," the mother continent, the cradle of
civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of
slavery, the days of segregation, and the long night of racism. It is
God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address
injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our
trust in God through cultural expression of a Black worship service and
ministries which address the Black Community.
Suppose one of the other presidential candidates was a member of a church with a self-description that read as follows.
We are a congregation which is Unashamedly White…Our roots in the White religious experience are deep, lasting and permanent.   We are a European
people, and remain "true to our native land," the mother continent, the
cradle of civilization…We constantly affirm our trust in God through
cultural expression of a White worship service and ministries which address the White Community.
As much as anything else, this highlights the intellectual and moral vacuity of Obama.  I can honestly say that I’ve never seen a man more bereft of principle, one who is a greater embodiment of style over substance.   He’s a man to whom you really could apply Gertrude Stein’s famous characterization: "There’s no there there."

Anyway, given Barack Hussein’s church, maybe his new slogan should be:

Be a uniter, but not any whiter.

    Just what exactly is a racist?
    Does Senator Obama’s love of what he identifies as his race qualify him as a racist? (Do you love your race?)
    Does his holding to his cultural and ethnic (excuse me) roots, define his racist nature? (Does holding to your own, define yours?)
    Can someone cling to his ancestral heritage and still not be a bigot?
    To take off on Forest Gump…“Racist is as racist does.”
    I’m of white, European, Christian background. I’m proud of it!
    Am I a racist?

    To Ray,
    That is exactly the point. As a white man with those convictions, you are a racist. A black person, or a person of any other race, may have those convictions, and NOT be a racist. Diversity means everything BUT white, and therefore, the white man is the antithesis of diversity. It’s sad really, how intolerant those who preach tolerance and multiculturalism are. But our world these days is a topsy turvy existence…up is down and down is up, and if you say otherwise, you are “intolerant”.

    Okay this is just dumb their are many chuches who celebrate europeon pride and do so in public does it look like they care? NO! I disagree on the church’s doctrines (I went to the website) but they have that right and so do white Churches (this coming from an african-american). and if anyone has a problem with this ignore them! I mean who cares! don’t get me wrong it fair to talk about Obama’s religion/church like they (liberals) did Romney’s and Huklebee’s, but it was dumb then and it is dumb now. if you want to celebrate your white heritage GO AHEAD this is a FREE country! frankly I have not problem with whites or their heritage or them celebrating their heritage. On the other hand if their is something fishy about Obama church (secret cult, giving/reciving money from terroist groups, rascism, drugs ect.) then by all means EXPOSE it!

    Adlyn, you said “they [Obama’s church] have that right and so do white Churches (this coming from an african-american). and if anyone has a problem with this ignore them!” But that’s the entire point of the article — Those who do in fact have a problem with Obama’s beliefs (such as Mr. Duke and myself) are ignoring him. In this case, ignoring him means not checking his box on the ballot. Similarly I would be reluctant to vote for a white man who stood for European or white power (I am white myself). This article does not address Obama’s faith so much as it addresses his racial loyalties. I agree that as this is a free country, Obama has every right to believe what he wishes, even if that means black/African supremacism. However, we voters also have the right to have our own, conflicting beliefs — And to not vote for a man who represents what we disagree with.

    The only problem is if you celebrate your Black pride you get nominated for congress. If I were to say I am white and proud of my skin color, I would be labeled a racist, white supremacist and bigot. This is America why can’t we all be judged upon the content of our character not the color of our skin. Preaching Black pride is race baiting and divisive. Too many black leaders want to live in the “glory” days of Selma…I assume to perpetuate their power. I too researched his church and was not terribly impressed. One thing that did strike me odd was in their weekly bulletin they pronounced as an action item for the week was not to shop at Wal-Mart or Sams Club. Wow! This organized boycott from a church seems a bit out of bounds. Could Wal-Mart publish a list of all of church members and boycott business dealings with them? Of course not they would be sued big time. America will never be color blind until the double standard is gone. On another note another thing I found strange on the church website was their commitment to socialism, disguised as “Economic parody” and a distain for middle classness.

    Walt,
    That white church well I can’t really “show you” but why don’t you look up churches on the internet the deal with “white power” I’m sure that their are plenty. Please don’t misunderstand with what I’m trying to say I don’t agree with Obama in my eyes I think that he is a pervert and very sick and twisted because of his stance on abortion. If you want to be proud of you white skin then go right ahead, and if any one has a problem tell them to stick it up their @$$ sideways you should not have to put up this crap just because you white tht is just dumb. I grew up in the subrabs with whites and not once did they treat me diffrently. moreover, when Al Aharpton, Jesse Jackson, or Obama talk about rasicm I know it is complete crap. They are using the african-americans and that past (slavery ect.) to gain more power just like you said Walt.

    I know that quips like the one above from the man (?) with no name, really don’t deserve a reply. People like that sit at the computer, glaring at the screen like cheap Clint Eastwoods in grease stained serapes, rolling the stubs of their cheesy cheroots between their fat fingers and try to cubbyhole everything they read into the only two mail slots fixed in their atrophied brains…”Conservative or Liberal.”
    They sort the mail and without further inspection, consign one idea or the other to the dead mail drop, as if all thought they label (either as conservative or liberal…depending on their particular persuasion) is without merit.
    In this way, their thinking resembles that of chimps or other higher primates, not of men. They are reflexive automatons, marching lockstep into the disaster that the one-way signs in their heads will lead them. These are good soldiers, who really don’t know where their orders are coming from.
    They are as easily manipulated as zoo monkeys at feeding time, allowing their labeling shortcut to decide every issue for them. But, it is a shortcut they use at their own peril. It’s a shortcut that limits their perception and obviously their cognation. They spout phrases like “psycho babel” completely out of context, as if the puppeteer running their wooden jaws had a seizure.
    That is, because they can not function without the puppeteer. Without the labels, their mail slots get jammed. They can’t recognize that there are things like Christian Identity churches or congregations in the World Church of the Creator. Those things just don’t fit into their schema. They suggest a disordered world. They require consideration, even thought. They require a trip out of the trailer park where they have secreted their minds.
    These people are often dismissed as simply being stupid. But, they are powerful and truly dangerous. They decide elections.

    I think un-named made a concise and intelligent request. There are quite a few “intellectuals” that think because they spent the time to peruse their dictionary for 5$ words are doing nothing but using more difficult words to obfuscate the issue. The world would be a much better place if people spent more time making difficult concepts simple for us non-intellects (rednecks)than spending seven years and a hundred thousand dollars on an education that gives us an extremely wordy and difficult definition to a relatively simple question. I guess the only good thing about this scenario is that this un-named individual (We’ll call him dumbass) has 1 vote just as Mr intellectual Ray has. That is the beauty of American democracy

    Nice try John. I almost bought your aw shucks homily!
    Only, I don’t think your neck is as red as you would like us to believe. I doubt that many old boys in bib overalls, with a pouch of Red Man stuck in their pocket, use “5$ words” like “obfuscate.” Or have the slightest idea of what an advanced degree would cost.
    But, maybe you’re like the guy in the Country Western song…”A walking contradiction, partly truth and partly fiction.” I don’t know.
    I do know that you would understand what bothered me about the-man-with no-name’s remarks. And I can tell you that I won’t let it happen again.

    Why dont you start your own website with your own commentary option and see how far it goes instead of piggybacking off Mr. Dukes’ article and using so many five dollar words to try to make yourself look so brilliant…that John so kindly pointed out. Maybe this comment contains a “run on” sentence and some punctuation errors that you could point out and chastise me for. I do Know one thing. If I ran into you talking that uppity psycho babble somewhere not in cyber space…but in the real world… where I’m sure you’re not so tempted to go around running your mouth like you’re so much better than all us little folk…I’d just kick your ass and that would be the end of it.
