World Net Daily has a piece today about how the state of Florida aims to institute a science teaching standard that would teach evolution as fact and ignore facts that might contradict it.  Writes WND:

The state of Florida is considering a new science teaching standard
that presumes the accuracy of the theory of evolution, much to the
consternation of parents and other leaders who say society too often
already has been embarrassed by such "Flat Earth Society" thinking.

At issue is a set of standards that will be considered by the state Board of Education
that will mandate the teaching of evolution as fact and, essentially,
forbid the discussion of facts that may contradict that theory.

It is so funny you just want to cry. I was reading a National Geographic the other day. The main topic was dinosaurs. This is not a direct quote but it said something like…Do you realize almost everything you learned about dinosaurs when you were a child was wrong? Well at least they know it all now, or at least most of them agree they do.
