The bigoted ideas of Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger are well documented. She is a woman who once said,
"We do not want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population."
Now, WorldNetDaily.com writes of a sting operation indicating that her spirit lives on within the organization. WND columnist Bob Unruh tells us:
"A student-run magazine at UCLA has revealed an undercover investigation in which representatives of Planned Parenthood, the nation’s abortion industry leader, admitted willingness to accepting a
financial donation targeting the destruction of an unborn black baby."
Here is a transcript of the sting operation:
Actor: I want to specify that abortion to help a
minority group, would that be possible?Planned Parenthood: Absolutely.
Actor: Like the black community for example?
Planned Parenthood: Certainly.
Actor: The abortion – I can give money
specifically for a black baby, that would be the purpose?Planned Parenthood: Absolutely. If you wanted to
designate that your gift be used to help an African-American woman in need,
then we would certainly make sure that the gift was earmarked for that purpose.Actor: Great, because I really faced trouble with
affirmative action, and I don’t want my kids to be disadvantaged against black
kids. I just had a baby; I want to put it in his name.Planned Parenthood: Yes, absolutely.
Actor: And we don’t, you know we just think, the
less black kids out there the better.Planned Parenthood: (Laughs) Understandable, understandable.
Actor: Right. I want to protect my son, so he can
get into college.Planned Parenthood: All right. Excuse my
hesitation, this is the first time I’ve had a donor call and make this kind of
request, so I’m excited, and want to make sure I don’t leave anything out.
Given my pro-life stance and loathing for Planned
Parenthood, if I were a different man, it would be tempting to join the cry
that casts the organization as characteristically bigoted. Yet, I don’t think that’s true of them.
They’re far worse than that.
Remember that these are individuals intimately
involved in the business of murdering innocent, unborn human life. They know the reality of it; some of them
have seen discarded babies — the little arms, legs, torsos and heads — in
sinks or glass vessels. If they can face
this reality and justify it — if complicity in mass murder matters not a whit
to them — why should we think they’d care about lesser moral principles? If they’re willing to abort members of a
group, why would they really care about prejudice against them?
Thus, it’s not that they don’t care about black
people — it’s that they don’t care about people. Sure, they may posture about the wrongness of
"racism," but thinking that murderers would truly care about bigotry
is like believing that drug dealers would care about bad language. If you are truly concerned about treating
others with dignity, it starts with recognition of their right to life.
No, while it scores points in our politically
correct culture, the problem is not that Planned Parenthood workers may be
bigots. It is that they may be
misanthropes. Many of them truly love no one — probably not even themselves.
