A long time ago I wrote about the left’s very successful manipulation of language.  I think about this when I hear about socialized medicine schemes and "free health care."

This is very interesting terminology.  If it’s correct, I suppose we could also speak of free military forces, free prisons, and free police departments.  I would also then point out that the Iraq venture is a free war.  I mean, after all, it’s not as if I had to raise my own private militia and send it to the Middle East.

It’s just wonderful to know that life is so simple.  All we have to do is place everything in the hands of the government and none of us will have to work anymore.  Now that’s what I call true freedom.

Kris Kristofferson wrote, “Freedom’s just another word for nothin’ left to loose…” It’s just a line from a pop song but, it speaks volumes to the situation we find ourselves in today.
Right now, the American People are getting close to having nothing left to loose. We have lost our industries, our jobs, our unions and we are close to loosing our sense of oneness, our identity, our language and our heritage.
We have been failed by the government. We have been raped by the corporations. We have been conned by the political parties…Left and Right, who use the word freedom the way Pavlov used a bell.
No one is free who is broke, hungry, homeless or sick. No one is free who is working two thirty hour a week, part-time jobs for minimum wage because they can’t find decent full-time employment. No one is free who is not safe in their own neighborhood, who is not protected from criminals on the corner and criminals in business suits who, to quote another pop song writer, “Will rob you with a fountain pen.”
Freedom is complicated. It is more…Than having no one tell you what to do.

Heck, we don’t need “free” health care. We don’t need a government to watch out for its citizenry. It’s every man for himself. After all, “Arbeit macht frei”… Right?
