Before convicted murderer Dale Leo Bishop was executed on Wednesday, he urged people to vote for Barack Obama.  But he made a big mistake.  He should have voiced his support for the Illinois senator earlier.

He might have gotten off by reason of insanity.

    Cute comment about the murderer
and Obama, but I agree with the
    late miscreant.
The death penalty does not prevent
    crime.This is an established fact.
And the mentally ill should certainly not be executed. With the
    endless appeals in death penalty
cases, life imprisonment actually costs less. And that kind of life is no picnic; in fact, it’s a perfectly miserable way to spend
your life. The late Timothy McVeigh wanted to be executed for his heinous crime because he did
not want the misery of life
imprisonment in solitary confinement. The bastard got off easy. So did Saddam Hussein.
And the application of the death penalty just isn’t fair all
the time. If you’re a poor black man,and sentenced to death for a murder you didn’t commit, you’re
basically screwed unless you’re lucky enough to find legal help.
Just look at Europe and other countries; they abolished the death penalty long ago, and their
    murder rates are nowhere near
    ours.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say that Robert Berger is a Mumia Abu Jamal supporter.

I’m not sure about Mumia; he may be guilty as hell; there are conflicting stories. But whether he’s guilty or not, he shouldn’t be executed.

No Mr. Berger, it is not Mumia who should not be executed. It is the police officer that he murdered who should not have been killed.
