Well, I’ve finally decided to enter the third millennium.  I’ve long wanted to plunge into the realm of video commentary, since visual media long ago trumped the written word, and here is my first effort.  It’s out with the old and in with the new.

OK, I do jest, as I have no intention of dispensing with tradition.  I’ll still be wielding my quill pen, dipping it in the ink well, wearing the powdered wig and defending the home front with my flintlock.  But the fact is that if a picture is worth a thousand words, how many more is moving footage worth?

This video is an appeal to young voters, for whatever good it’s going to do.

    Fantastic transition, Mr. Duke! Loved every moving second of it. It’s possible to hide behind a pen, but spoken words and visual expressions are today’s weapons and they can either be used for or against you. When I hear Obama actually read his own words out loud from his book “Dreams from my Father,” it’s terrifying. However, by using the audio-book method, he just made it easier and faster for us to discover who he really is.

    Duke…Stick to what you’re good at. That video was the longest four minutes of anyone’s life, with the exception of Sondra’s that is. But, if you’re going to continue with these little inspirational messages, at least get a production budget. That thing looks like you shot it yourself standing outside your bathroom door.

    Your little video here is not going to become the standard for reactionary fireside chats. The young “brothers and sisters” you address can’t conceptualize making $300,000 (or more) a year. They can’t even find a job pounding nails for a decent salary and think enlisting in the army is a good opportunity. (Please don’t even start with the flag waiving on that one.) You are not in touch with the country and admittedly, not being a man of this century, you are clearly not in touch with the times. You represent host of failed ideas. Give up.

    Let’s not be too hard on Selwyn’s latest attempt to be the Cecil B. Goebbles of the American right. He looked earnest and even a little folksy with his open gestures and imploring (Mr. Smith Goes to Washington) tone. Give him a chance to sharpen his knife a bit and we’ll all be marching along with him in a torch-light parade.

    Mr. Duke, if the Obama idiots were willing to listen and think about these things, they wouldn’t have voted for Obama in the first place. They’re too dumb to realize, for example, that Social Security has already defaulted; when I was a kid I was told SS would pay out the benefits when I turned 62. They’ve already reneged on that, and that’s known as a default. Now, according to their formula, I’ll be eligible for full benefits when I’m 70, which is 25 years away, lol. If I even live that long, they’ll have moved the goal line, again. But, Obama voters are far too dumb to even know what that “F.I.C.A.” deduction on their paystub is for, and that that deduction was spent years ago as part of the general budget and is now part of a $10 Trillion debt that will never be repaid but will be serviced by them all their lives, along with the other $56 Trillion in social spending to which we are already obligated, much less that hidden from them is ANOTHER %7.65 employer “contribution” (LOL), which together constitute 15.3% of their paychecks that will be confiscated for their entire lives, to be used to “give” them Social Security. No, you’re casting your pearls before swine.

    You are absolutely right! Social Security should have been privatized years ago. Then, when it went defaulted, the government could have bailed it out; then it would be solvent and you could collect your check on time. Those Obama folks sure are stupid. Of course, the McCain folks weren’t smart enough to beat ‘em.
