By Selwyn Duke

Congratulations, America!  You have elected a fairly nice looking, charismatic, well-managed Marxist.

Equally ridiculous, the odious Al Franken is ahead of incumbent Republican Norm Coleman in the Minnesota senate race.  Well, Franken was never funny as a comedian, but he sure will be funny (in the strangest of ways) as a senator.

And, just so the lost 52 percent may know what they have visited upon us, I present the following quotation from Cicero:

A
nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot
survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable,
for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves
amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through
all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For
the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his
victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the
baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a
nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the
pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no
longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.

Mr Duke – You’ve hit the nail on the head. This is a dark day for our country. A great delusion has deceived 52% of us…

Yup Selwyn, we’ve heard that one before (over and over again actually.) Now let me be the first to offer you a tissue and an invitation to put those tired, failed, corrupting ideas aside and join the rest of us in the New America!

Okay…You religious wack-jobs and right wing nut-cases have lost the election!
    But did you?
You really didn’t like John McCain. At best, he was a lesser evils choice for you. So, don’t pretend that the Obama victory makes all that much difference on your score cards. No matter if Obama or McCain won the election, for you, the country wouldn’t be headed in the right direction.
But, there was a lesson at the polls for you this year. A message from America, so to speak. And that message is plain. And it is loud and clear. In the marketplace (you know, the marketplace; that self correcting, celestial driven, absolute force of nature.)
In the marketplace of ideas…yours aren’t selling!

puke, since you are so unhappy, if you don’t already, maybe you should move to another country, like to Iran, where your rants about women and how silly American politics are will be appreciated. however, you moving to another planet would be nice:)

    Democrat,
Equally interesting is why you choose to monitor Mr.Duke’s articles. I dont mind and niether should he. Its healthy to have critics look at your work but it amazes me to see the determination you invest in monitoring this website. Or could it be you secretly have the same view of America as us and its in conflict with your inner self…Its okay democrat..just admit it..lol

The basic defect in Duke’s thinking is simple isn’t it? The “Rising Tide Lifts All Boats,” baloney; the Milton Friedman free-market free-for-all that got us (with the help of Bush and the Neo Cons) to where we are economically; got us to the point of disaster, nearly to the point of no return.
Now we have Obama. Now, we at least have a chance to turn back the clock. To repair the insult to our Body Politic. But do you think for one minute that the likes of Duke and his cadre of faithful have shut down the Hate-and-Fear machine designed to thwart any progress that may be made?
Don’t kid yourself. They are reeling a little from the TKO but, they haven’t been Counted Out. And in the next few months you can expect the AM radio talk-show propaganda-programs to be running a campaign that will make the game they ran on Clinton look like paddy cake. They are like the Jihadists, churning with the fervor of having God on their side.
But, who’s on the side of the average working American who has to compete with foreign labor at home and salve labor abroad? Think it’s the Rev. Duke and the guys that got us into this mess?
Compared to them, how bad could a Marxist (and I actually don’t think Obama is one) be?

Let us know how bad a Marxist would be when senior citizens start getting deported from Florida and re-educated to perform “community service” work, to justify their “Guaranteed Retirement Accounts” that WERE earning 3% until stagflation dropped it to 2%, then 1%…. and people will wonder where did all those rich people go – the ones who ran billion-dollar industries that supported million-dollar companies that employed millions of people? Were they also relocated? Maybe voluntarily, maybe not… but gone they are. Replaced by progressive government “experts” who will efficiently administer services “to each according to his need”. Of course those services will be highly cost-effective, not having to worry about tort issues and liability lawsuits, as the government writes the laws, and having no qualms about homogonizing the quality of goods and services when faced with zero competition.
Sounds like Cuba and the Soviet Union. How could that NOT be better than Duke’s website and Fannie/Freddie/GoldmanSach’sWallStreet/entitlement/poreousBorders/LiberalSchools/theMedia’sImbecillicSmile?

    Tieff,
You’re too smart to think any of that is going to happen, so why say it? Have the conservative, Bible-thumping, bozos that have been running things for the last eight years done much to help you?
How’s your retirement account doing these days? Job market pretty good in your field? Any problem getting the price you’d like for your house? Got any kids in Iraq you’re worried about?
I don’t know, maybe you work for Dick Cheney’s old company or Blackwater and things are going pretty well. But, they are not going well for the rest of the country. And if I had to bet the odds, I’d bet you are one of us. So, take a turn that’s in your interest for once. See where it takes you. You know damn well it won’t be to the disaster you describe.

I just have to make a quick comment: I think Mr. Duke has labeled himself a political revolutionary unless im incorrect. Mr. Duke has not supported McCain or the neo-con base one bit , again unless im mistaken. I would like someone to tell me how the economic mess were in is solely the fault of “W” and his lackeys. I would like someone to explain how both sides of the spectrum are not irrevocably corrupt (hence dukes revolutionary declaration) the asses and elephants are two rotten corrupt parties which need to be overturned. When things in America get bad enough(as they inevitably will) maybe we will see some “change” I can believe in.

    Shaun,
The explanation you seek will not come, at least with any logical or accurate basis. The democrat party and those who pull the strings have masterfully and wrongfully defamed W. The propaganda machine that they have built to promote their power base is extraordinary. It makes me wonder if such great minds and bank accounts would focus their efforts and funds on things like dependant class education and such we would have a much better world. But that is all past, we have lost this battle of public opinion to a quite accomplished adversary…a tip of the hat to you.
We need to get past all of the steps dealing with a loss and get to the acceptance phase. This is America; we all (most of us) want to see a bright future. Although I have sincere concerns with President Obama, today I will start praying for him. I pray the Lord will grant him the Wisdom of Solomon in matters of war and peace. I will also pray that President Obama will be inclined to honor the God inspired founding documents of this nation.

Walt, sorry but we don’t have to accept anything. I sure don’t. I won’t accept a communist in the White House. He may be an infection that will infect the oval office. But that’s about it. Get the fumigator asap.

Well john, you don’t have to accept whomever resides in the White House if you move to another country. Please do, and as a matter of fact, some of us will help you pack as well as pick a place for you. Goodbye idiot, you won’t be missed. That way, the fumigator will get rid of cockroaches such as yourself. And you can take Shaun with you.

    John,
I guess there is no room for communists in your version of a free and open America democracy, right? Where are you planning to deport the dirty reds to before they can spread their filthy ideas? We don’t want any competing ideas in the free market of thought here in America, do we?
Nazi Germany deported a lot of communists to concentration camps. But, that wouldn’t be your idea would it? You believe in “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,” do you not?
Deporting someone for a political belief? Well, that just wouldn’t be in line with the notion of being “proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free,” now would it?
Deporting someone for a political belief, now that’s something a fascist would do, not someone like you, right?

Who cares what John has to say? Certainly not me, because frankly, I’m sick to death of idiots like him using fear-mongering tactics whenever someone doesn’t agree with them. Stupid, idiotic tactics like calling someone a communist, when last I checked, it’s not the 1950’s and that term doesn’t strike any fear into anyones’ hearts except those like him. Grow up John.

    Democrat,
You’ve got to ignore John. He sounds like somebody who gets all his information from AM talk radio. He processes it as best he can and then parrots it back after adding his can of venom…like he’s scaring anybody. “Oh, we’re gonna deport all you commie fags.” Or, “We’ve got lots of guns and we ain’t goin’ down without a fight.” The guy is just a Storm Trooper in a world that has changed. I don’t know what he expects. And I expect neither does he, until Duke or Savage or Limbaugh or that blond camp guard, Laura Something tells him.
