We all know about how children today are being indoctrinated with environmentalist propaganda. Well, there is a very distressing but not surprising article here about how a survey has shown that one in three American preteens fear an environmental apolcalypse. But my focus right now is not on the piece but on a comment left under it by a parent. This individual, who goes by the handle “Reformed Environ-Mental,” offered some great advice to parents who find that their children are bringing environmentalist dogma home with them from school. Here is what he said:
Ask your kids if they want to give up their house and live in a mud
hut. If they want to be forced to ride their bikes in the winter for
transportation. If they never want to eat a banana or drink orange
juice again because those fruits aren’t grown locally. If they want to
hand over their computers, video games and cell phones because they
waste energy and were made from petroleum-based materials.
Explain to them that regardless of what the actors and actresses on
Nickelodeon preach, they certainly do not put it to practice. (Miranda
Cosgrove walking to set? I don’t think so.)
They’ll see the light. My boys have.
