Does Obama Have a “Mental Disorder”?

Shortly before the presidential election, there was an interesting article written by Sam Vaknin, Ph.D.  Someone had sent it to me via email when it was first penned, but what brought it to mind again was that Michael Savage discussed it on his radio show last night.  Vaknin propounds the thesis that Barack Obama isn't just your typical liberal politician, but that he may actually suffer from Narcissistic Personality Disorder.  Just so you know, this would mean that he has the same spiritual defect as Adolf Hitler, Saddam Hussein, Pol Pot, Joseph Stalin and a whole host of other maniacal despots.

Now, I'm not enamored of psychological terminology, so I don't like the idea of calling sinful tendencies psychological disorders.  Nevertheless, I think Vaknin's assessment of Obama may be more correct than many would like to believe.  Here are a few segments from Vaknin's piece:

Narcissistic leaders are nefarious and their effects pernicious. They
are subtle, refined, socially-adept, manipulative, possessed of
thespian skills, and convincing. Both types equally lack empathy and
are ruthless and relentless or driven.

. . . Obama displays the following behaviors, which are among the hallmarks of pathological narcissism:

* Subtly misrepresents facts and expediently and opportunistically
shifts positions, views, opinions, and "ideals" (e.g., about campaign
finance, re-districting). These flip-flops do not cause him overt
distress and are ego-syntonic (he feels justified in acting this way).
Alternatively, reuses [sic] to commit to a standpoint and, in the process,
evidences a lack of empathy.

Ignores data that conflict
with his fantasy world, or with his inflated and grandiose self-image.
This has to do with magical thinking. Obama already sees himself as
president because he is firmly convinced that his dreams, thoughts, and
wishes affect reality. Additionally, he denies the gap between his
fantasies and his modest or limited real-life achievements (for
instance, in 12 years of academic career, he hasn't published a single
scholarly paper or book).

Vaknin has written an interesting article.  No matter what you call the TOTUS (Teleprompter of the United States), however, he's a dangerous man.  America, you have visited a viper upon us.

    To categorize Obama with such monsters as Hitler,Stalin and Pol Pot etc is the real madness here. Obama strikes me as far more sane and rational than any one who could do this,and many on the extreme right such as Alan Keyes, who is about as loony as they come.
    Like him or not,Obama is an intelligent,thoughtful, level-headed,reasonable and fair-minded guy.He is just about as down to earth a person as i’ve ever come across. There’s not a shred of fanaticism or malice in him. Look who’s talking !!!

    You are a lunatic. You need help. I read the article by Sam Vaknin. It is a painful and difficult read but it is an accurate assessment of our Narcissist-in-Chief. Obama is a bastard, by the true meaning of the word. He was abandoned by his father and later by his mother. There are very few among us that can overcome the devastating pain and anguish that this type of trauma induces. By all of his actions, Obama is not among the few but of the many whose misery is cause for further suffering.
    Have you considered all of his political appointments? Tax-cheats, miscreants, radical lesbians, America-haters?
    This man HATES our country just as he hates himself; the result of his early abandonment. He demonstrates this nearly daily.
    I have heard of you and others talking up how “intelligent” he is. Oh really?
    If he is so intelligent, why are his college grades hermitically sealed so that none of us can know of them? Huh? We know of Bush’s grades. We know of John Kerry’s (lower than Bush’s). We know of McCain’s abysmal grades.
    Wake up, Robert and all of the useful idiots who voted for Obama. If he were so intelleigent, wouldn;t he boast of his grades, for all to see what a genius he is?
    Have you heard him speak without his TelePrompter? He makes George Bush sound like Alistair Cooke, for Christ’s sake!
    An obvious example of Obama’s incompetency and immaturity can be found in his reaction to the Swine Flu epidemic. His public statements are in direct contrat to radio superstar Michael Savage, who happnes to be a PhD in Epidemiological studies.
    Your blind worship of Barrack Hussein Obana paints you as a useful idiot, a hopeless ideologue and a shallow, ignorant human being. I pity you.

    Hitler liked puppies, was an environmental champion, spoke and acted strongly for woman’s rights; amongst other altruistic endeavors. By today’s standards Obama probably would have lost to him in the Democrat primaries. Hitler’s IQ was between 145 and 150 by estimate, which makes him arguably smarter than BHO.
    I do not say this to directly compare BHO to Hitler or say they are one in the same. However, the traits of the early day Hitler were the modern day leftists ideal. Hitler was altruistic, smart, and a dynamic speaker…damn the character, since character is an embodiment of morality and morality to a leftist is relative. We really have no idea who BHO is other than his past associations, which are anti-American, racist, terrorist (errrr man caused disasterist) and communist. The signs of narcissism are a bit too spooky.

    My,how you rant and rave about me and the president. I’m perfectly sane and rational,and don’t”worship” Obama by any means.I never said he’s perfect, and above reproach. But I’m afraid you and other hysterically paranoid right-wing chicken littles have been portraying this pussycat Obama as a ferocious tiger. Obama is no demon,monster or ogre.
    Obama may be the worst president, except for all the rest,just as Churchill said that democracy is the worst form of government,except for all the rest.

    Well we know were you are comming from now. How many “pussycats” have came out of Chicago politics?
    I can relate to one bit of your pussycat analogy. Cat piss is the hardest odor to remove from carpets and furniture. In that sense I would agree Obama is a pussycat. Repairing America will be a huge chore for my great grand children.

    Okay, I’ll play along. In the interest of “fairness” (which term, frankly no person should use after the 3rd grade). I’ll agree with you that Comrade Obama is the “pussycat” that you endorse him to be. But first, I must ignore the following:
    * that his mother, Stanley Ann Dunham was not indoctrinated into Marxist philosophy at her High School in Mercer Island, Washington.
    * that Barry Obama’s mentor, “Frank” in his memoirs was Frank Marshall Davis, a card carrying member of CP-USA (CP stands for “Communist Party”, I am so sorry to break the news to you).
    * that Barack and Michelle Obama sat in the pews of Rev. Jeremiah Wright for TWENTY years but were mysteriously absent during the racist and lunatic rants for which he now disowns (after having previously stated publicy that, “I can no more disown Rev. Wright than I can the Black community,”. Which is it, dear Robert? Has he disowned Rev. Wright? Has he disowned the black community?
    * that he began his political career in the living room of unrepentant domestic terrorists William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn? Radical Marxists, murderers, bomb-setters and despicable human bengs?
    * that he stated publicy to the otherwise-irrelevant “Joe the Plumber” that we should “spread the wealth around”, i.e. that we (the U.S. Government) should steal from the productive taxpayers of the United States and give to unproductive non-taxpayers? Please explain why this is a good idea and expound further on how it is sustainable? Just the facts, sir; no “I feel” or “I believe”.
    * please tell me what is missing from my sense of compassion that tax-cheats, corrupt individuals, radical feminists, lesbians and abortionists and globalists who scoff at our Rule of Law and our Constituion can be appointed to our highest Cabinet positions and on White House staff?
    Dear Robert,
    Your evident hostility toward the rule of law that is our Constitution and the premise of the Republic in which you reside (whether you like it or not) suggests that you would be happier in another country. I repeat my offer to personally finance your emigration to North Korea. Too hot? How about Cuba? Too mild? How about Saudi Arabia or Iran? Too sandy? How about the Sudan? Darfour?
    Am I being too harsh? I am so sorry. Please consider Argentina. I am sure that your views would be most welcome in Venezuela. Heck, you might even become a celebrity… appear on stage right after Sean Penn and the afterward photo-ops would be priceless to your family.

    Robert is absolutely correct, although I would not categorize any politician as a “pussycat.” While I don’t agree with all of his policies, I can say that I don’t believe that he will be as bad as the last president we had. You know, the one that spent the first 100 days on vacation in Kennebunkport. Yes, the same “social and economic conservative” that got us into the business of bailouts and failed economic policies. The same idiot that started two wars and didn’t repeal any tax cut that he had given to all of his friends, sending this country into a tailspin. Obama hasn’t been in office long enought to make a mess of things because he inherited one. And many more republicans will lose a lot more seats as long as they continue to offer no real solutions other than “We think Obama’s policies are all wrong because he’s a democrat.” Those pathetic losers are holding town hall meetings to decide what they should believe in, and any time a party does that, voters should know that they are only interested in their vote, and not getting back to the basics of things.
    And many of you need to stop regurgitating the crap from Faux news, which is the same network that consistently pays for the advice of disgraced idiototic liars like Karl Rove and Mark Ferman. The same network that would allow hell to freeze over than to acknowledge that Obama may have done something right.

    The fact that anyone would compare Obama with the likes of Hitler is proof of insanity in itself. There is nothing constructive in proposing such a conversation, your proposition is only intended to inflame tempers. How a group of paranoids with raging lunatics like Rush Limbaugh and Glen Beck alongside nitwits like Sarah Palin as their spokespeople can even show your heads in public, is way beyond my imagination. Find something more constructive to do – like paying your taxes for a change!!!

    Anyone declaring him/herself to be “rational one” is immediately suspect.
    There are two modern world leaders who have spent massive sums and abused their office and influence to conceal their past. That is a direct and simple comparison.
    Those two leaders are Adolph Hitler and Barack Hussein Obama, II. It is therefore both “rational” and logical (and I would add “necessary”) to compare the two. History has a nasty habit of repeating itself, especially with regard to evil.
    What were/are they trying to hide?
    In Hitler’s case, he feared Jewish ancestry in his paternal bloodline. Fair enough, but utterly dishonest. He was also rumored to be a homosexual prostitute during his youth in Vienna. This may have played well in Berlin and Hamburg (if not to his advantage) but certainly NOT to the German countryside. Regardless, it was politically expedient for him to seek the concealment of his past.
    What is Obama hiding? Anyone but the most narrow-minded nit-wit can “rationally” conclude that he is hiding SOMETHING!
    Have you examined his “mentoring” by radical Communist/Poet/Pornographer Frank Marshall Davis? Have you compared photographs of BHO and FMD side-by-side?
    How much effort have you put into the allegation that BHO may have been the actual son of radical Black-Marxist/Communist Malcom X? Have you compared the YouTube videos that demonstrate their speech patterns side-by-side? Of course you haven’t.
    Where is his long-form birth certificate? (We already now that the COLB that he posted at his campaign website is a fraud)).
    Where are his records from Punaho high school?
    Where are his admission records and transcripts of his grades from Occidental college?
    Where are his admission records and transcripts of his grades from Columbia University?
    Where is his travel Visa from his 1983 visit to Pakistan?
    Where are his admission records and transcripts of his grades from Harvard Law? Where are his opinions and Law Review articles from Harvard Law?
    What is he hiding?
    Why is he hiding it?
    To what possible positive outcome is it that the concealment of factual history is of benefit to anyone but him?
    How can you not see that this man is taking a wrecking-ball to all that America holds dear? Are you truly that obtuse?
    If you do not have empirical evidence that conclusively satisfies any of my above questions, then you are complicit in a fraud that hurts and harms the both of us and everyone else that we know worldwide.

    He has shown his certificate of live birth and apparently that is good enough to suffice. It would be like showing a bartender your yearbook photo from twenty years ago. An attitude from the bartender would be similar to, “sorry bud, but that ain’t going to work”. This should be a similar attitude to the situation with President Obama. One can argue that one’s birth is their own business, but when it comes to leading an entire country, not to mention that it is at its most weakest, we need to have clarification (not an idea or a theory) on the origins of the leader’s birth. It is illegal and unconstitutional to have a leader that is not a native born American. I am not saying that Obama is not a native American, but if one were to be “rational”, one would have to have a certain skepticism in regard to someone that is vehement in hiding their birth certificate.

    The birth certificate is only a small element of this controversy. It is a very important one in that if it can be factually determined that Barack H. Obama, II is not a US citizen and constitutionally ineligible for the office of the presidency of the United States of America, then all of his Executive Orders and any and all legislation that he has signed into law is null and void (including the repeal of DADT (Don’t ask, Don’t Tell) which is, by far his most damaging assault on our nation’s security – MUCH worse than Obamacare).
    Worse than the birth certificate is the fact that he his hiding EVERYTHING that can be gleaned from his past through records that most US citizens do not even know are available for public scrutiny. How does one go about this concealment? What accomplices are required to ensure such concealment? Who are they and what are their backgrounds and motives? What intimidation is necessary and what have been threatened, if not performed, to guarantee such concealment?
    Barack H. Obama, II is a Manchurian President (I highly recommend the book of the same title by the brilliant Aaron Klein). He is an imposter and a fraud. His actions, his decisions and his Executive Orders show quite clearly that he is the enemy of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands.
    He is dismantling America brick-by-brick. He must be impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors. He must go (from office).
    This evening on The Savage Nation, Dr. Savage suggested that perhaps it is a good thing that America was deluded into electing this radical Marxist. Dr. Savage says this from the vantage point of a man of wealth, means and security (all duly earned and deserved). I do not have such comfort.
    While I have earned a comfortable existence and have provided for my family, I fear for them. I am 51 years old. I will likely expire before the effects of current decisions take full effect. However, I am responsible for the lives of my two dear and darling children who will have to cope with this heresy, this abomination (or rather Obamanation) and this heretical assault by Marxist revolutionaries on our Constitutional Republic.
