   Enough with the social experimentation!!! Why must we force Judy to play with trucks and Johnny with dolls? I know the leftists made a run at the boy scouts here a few years ago and are probably working another angle to either destroy or change them to their image, but the girl scouts…consider this…”The hand that rocks the cradle, rules the world.”

   To compare the girl scouts with communism and modeling themselves after lesbians is an example of extreme paranoia. It’s funny how neanderthals believe that girls and women have no right to attempt to better position themselves financially or to even develop self-esteem in groups like this without being labeled as such. And just think about the boy scout troop leaders who position themselves on the level with catholic priests in having their way with the boys in their troops….I wonder what one has to say about that? And what idiot has the time to pick on little girls anyway? You just have to wonder about his sexuality.

   Please explain to the visitors at selwynduke.com how much medical marijuana you have been prescribed and/or what psychotropic drugs you are taking.
   Selwyn’s article cited facts about the lesbian infiltration of a once-vaunted institution; a deliberate interloping of the Marxist and intolerant Left. Selwyn eloquently elaborated on the deliterious effects thereof.
   Your intolerant and ignorant assault on both the Boy Scouts and Catholic priests is simultaneously reprehensible and infantile.
   Frankly, you come off as an over-educated child. Full of sound and fury but signifying nothing (nothing intelligible, at least).
   I beg you to answer my opening questions with all candor.

   Hmmmmm… You’ve given me some real food for thought here Mr. Duke.
   I’ve been a Girl Scout Troop leader for the last 6 years covering three age levels, Brownies, Jr Scouts, and Cadette Scouts. While I have seen elements of New Age beliefs, feminism, and paganism creeping in to the activities and materials in the scout handbooks, as a leader I have always had the choice to exclude those things and stick with the more traditional girl scout activities. Additionally, since my troops have always been associated with the Chrisian schools my daughter attends, I’ve been fortunate to have full support from the girls parents to keep the troop focused on activities and learning in line with a shared Christian worldview. For example, two years ago there was a council-wide “Health Fair” planned for all the troops in our area, and when I researched it, I learned there would be seminars on safe sex, which is clearly not appropriate for a group of 10-12 year old girls. So we chose not to participate.
   Through Girl Scouts, my daughter has learned camping and outdoor skills, has completed service projects, has made friends, and has strengthened her leadership and teamworking skills. For her, scouting has been a positive influence.
   It is my own experience that the Troop Leader has the most influence over what the girls are doing during Girl Scout meetings and activities, and there is a wide variation in what troops actually do. I still support Girl Scouts, and I hope they do not continue down the destructive path Selwyn vividly described. As with any activity or event, I believe parents need to be diligent and learn what their children will be doing and exposed to, and advocate their opinions. The Girl Scout organization is driven be membership; they want girls out there selling cookies and if parents don’t like the direction they are taking and don’t allow their daughters to participate, I believe the leadership will eventually respond.

   Adrienne,
   It sounds like you are a scout leader I would like to send my daughter to. It sounds like you are doing a great job editing out the leftist propaganda; however you are in a unique position to direct positive change to corporate GSUSA. You can get far more done as a tenured leader than myself, Selwyn and all of the rest of us combined; all we can do is comment on the decline and become frustrated. As a matter of fact, to inspire you a bit, you could use your system bucking leadership as an instructional lesson for these young ladies, whose lives you are helping shape…I am sure there is a civics badge or something similar to be earned for their involvement in such an endeavor.
   The left likes to propose a hand off approach childhood and teenage development. “Let the child find themselves,” they say. That is pure crap! A child will learn and shape themselves but all that they become is a result of outside information. The left knows that full well, but their intent by the “hands off” approach to childhood development is only to limit the “imposition” of traditional conservative values since they are the counter to all other paths the left has for them. Guys like polysci, imply that traditionalists intend to damn each young lady to a life of servitude; barefoot and pregnant…hogwash. A child will learn and absorb and become someone based upon external information. It is your job and mine to expose each child we have a chance to, the logic and merits of living a moral stable life. The enemy wants each young lady to go a different way. He and they want them to be used sexually and have no other self worth, or experienced in the fruitless life of lesbianism, or test the deadly waters of new age spiritualism, the list goes on endlessly but each path leads to a hollow and sad existence. Each young girl must know the Good Lord did not create them as a piece of meat for the pleasure of other men or women. They are all special! God has a plan for each of them and it does not include perversion or paganism. In the end all children will have a shape; the world has its agents in play every day. Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, MTV, GSUSA and on and on are actively trying to shape your kids and mine. They push global warming, introduce sexual experimentation, demean authority and encourage rebellion from little tidbits on Nick to full on counter traditionalism on MTV.
   In the Bible somewhere it says, “Train a child up in the way he should go and he will not depart from it.” Once a child can fully see the logic and fullness of the ideal traditional moral life, and expose the left’s propaganda for what it is (clever lies) the choice for them will be simple. Sure they may veer off course but, as the Prodigal son, they will return, perhaps with painful baggage.
   I encourage you Adrienne to be a difference maker.

   Philip, I’ve been reading your comments for quite a long time now. I can tell you are intelligent and passionate about what you believe and when you speak to a point, many times I agree with you; however, one thing that diminishes the power of the good points you make is the way you verbally slash people who don’t see it your way. Why must you lace your comments with insults? Don’t you realize you are only reducing your own stature when you resort to belittling others? Out of the five sentences in this last comment of yours, four were either sarcastic or insulting and only one had anything of substance. In light of what you say you believe and Who you follow, I don’t understand this behavior at all.

    Needless to say that you are one of those brainless idiots intertwined in Duke’s cult-following. Unlike disappointed in you, I don’t find you intelligent, nor amusing, but instead, a bloviating idiot who of course hasn’t mastered the art of reading comprehension. For an organization crawling with lesbianism and marxist leaders, there hasn’t been a single case of child rapes/molestation within the girl scouts, but there has been countless within the boy scouts, and much the same with catholic priests preying on chior boys. How can a statistic like this exist if the “facts” in which Duke “so eloquently elaborated” are true? This fact is important because it shows that the girl scouts are not as bad as Duke is making it out to be. There’s nothing ignorant nor intolerant about making comparisons, and as an adult, I don’t make it a habit of assaulting an organization for children. Furthermore, there’s no such thing as an “over-educated child,” but you have “so eloquently” proven what one would look like if it did exist.

For an organization crawling with lesbianism and marxist rhetoric, the girl scouts has not had any incidents of child molestation/rapes, but the same cannot be said of the boy scouts, nor can it be said about the multitude of catholic priets who prey on the choir boys. This fact is important because for one, it allows for critical thinking when analyzing Dukes’ “facts” in which he “so eloquently elaborated” and two, the girl scouts can’t be as bad as he is making them out to be. There’s nothing ignorant nor intolerant about making comparisons, but there is about your recent diagnosis of “foot-in-mouth” disease. Furthermore, there’s no such thing as an “over-educated child,” but you have “so eloquently” displayed how one would look if one did exist.
