Baby in Womb By Selwyn Duke

Washington, D.C., would be able to use tax money to fund abortions
under a $768 million spending bill passed by the House on July 16. An
AP story carried by FoxNews.com and other media reports:
“The measure passed by a narrow 219-208 margin, with many anti-abortion
Democrats voting against it because of the move by Democratic leaders
to permit the D.C. government to use locally raised tax revenues to
provide abortions — reversing a long-standing ban imposed by Congress.”

And like so many bills in Congress, this one contains a hodge-podge
of different provisions. According to AP, other provisons in the bill
are designed to:

The sheer hypocrisy of people who don’t want the government to provide funding for abortions for poor women, yet also don’t want the governement to provide any help for the poor, unwanted children they want them to give birth to never ceases to amaze me.
These are the women who are least able to care for their children, born or not yet born. Unbelievable.
And what happens whnenlots of poor, unwanted children are born and are allowed to grow up desperately poor, malnourished and denied a good education? Just more poverty, unemployment and crime. And more abortions, more teenage pregnancies, and more hopelessness. Great. You conservatives are so brilliant.

    Robert,
I would like to ask a clarification. Are you suggesting that If we disallowed abortion and then unleashed the purse strings of federal government to flood poverty stricken newborns with tens of thousands of tax payer dollars that it would break the cycle of perpetual poverty? That is what I gathered. Did I misread? If so, then challenge that idea with the way are society works now. Historically, has throwing tax money at any problem ever fixed it? Just wondering.

You can’t stop abortion by making it illegal. This has never worked, and never will. Women will seek and obtain abortions whether they are legal or not,and if they are too poor, they will try to do it themselves, with the inevitable catastrophic results.
Take Brazil, which is the world’s largest Catholic nation, and where abortion is officially illegal. Ironically, more abortions happen every year than in the US ! The Brazilian government doesn’t even pretend to enforce the law. It can’t!
But look at prosperous European countries such as Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands,Belgium, and the Scandinavian countries. These nations have the world’s LOWEST abortion rates, and the Netherlands, a very liberal and permissive nation, has the lowest abortion rate in the world.
Why? Because there are highly prosperous countries, people are responsible and use contraceptives, and the government really provides for people. Is this socialism? NO. It’s good government. Let’s face it;taxes here are awfully high, but this has its benefits.
No,an economic system like this just wouldn’t be feasable in a country as large as the US, but we could learn from these countries, just as they could learn from the US. This might not be a bad idea.
And by the way,I’m no wild-eyed left wing extremist. I believe in capitalism, but not the kind that neglects the unfortunate.

    Berger,
Rape, murder, theft, extortion, DUI, drug use, and speeding all take place even though there are laws on the books forbidding them. Should we just tear up all of the laws because they don’t work? Every law is a legislation of morality; a definition of a societies value system. In some Islamic nations if a woman gets raped she gets stoned; that defines that culture as Stone Age, animalistic, and godless. In America, we allow our unborn babies to be murdered for convenience, as a method of birth control and primarily to protect a world view in which sex is not a part of love or commitment but a recreation that should not be restrained; that defines us as Stone Age, animalistic, and godless.
Not only has Roe v Wade stolen the States right to establish their own laws as specifically enumerated in the Constitution, but it has also by default made bold the blood lust of our psychopathic leaders’, that they may steal my money from me, via taxes and murder babies in other countries; most recently Mexico. I am quite sure this lust for the innocent blood of the unborn must have something to do with the “secular religion of the lie” (ty-Bruce Walker). Nearly every world religion demands a blood offering as penance/forgiveness for sins, either animal sacrifice (pagan), personal or infidel blood (Muslim) or symbolic blood (of Christ, Christian). Perhaps subconsciously the leftist mind is by proxy satisfying their guilt of living in prosperity with a blood offering, by the murder of children; the most innocent of them the unborn.
Either way it is sick! Your type looked away when Stalin murdered millions, when Mao murdered MILLIONS, while Castro murdered thousands. Why? Because the ends justified the means; the ends a perfect collective utopia. By jumping on the leftist bandwagon of infanticide, the blood, brains, guts, ground up muscle, bone fragments, and eyeballs are on your hands. All that is left of the ground up child is their soul…and may their souls haunt the dream of every leftist. May the soul of every one of Mao’s Stalin’s, Castro’s victims haunt the waking dream of those who ignored this means to satisfy their ends.

Hey I got an idea, why don’t we advocate for personal responsibility instead of just bailing everyone out of trouble. Maybe if people see that they will have to suffer consequences for choices THEY make, maybe they wont make them? Foreign concept to you liberals, I know. But you know, we’ve been trying this “don’t worry, we’ll take care of you” stuff for decades now and guess what. It hasn’t worked. In fact its gotten worse despite throwing more and more money at problems. I mean, the last time I heard of 13 year olds getting pregnant was when I was reading about the dark ages. But ya, your liberal policies sure are helping society move along.
Cause ya, I mean, a poor mother couldn’t give up her child for adoption. Oh but what a cruel decision to for her to make, ya, better off to just MURDER the thing.
Oh ya, and she couldn’t possibly go to one of a thousand places that will make sure her child doesn’t starve.
And denied a good education? Well, at least we agree on one thing, public schools SUCK. Good goin there Mr Liberal. Public school is your doing.
So why don’t we just kill everyone we think will either be a drain on society or not have a good life. Since you’ve already deemed that every child born of a poor mother will be condemned to poverty, starvation and doomed to be an uneducated boob.
You liberals are death cultists. Hitler would be proud. Go go gadget arian race!

    Wow Walt! Right on.
What Robert Berger and his fellow-travelers neglect to understand is the sanctity of life, and especially the most monumental miracle of all: human life.
I read a book on Intelligent Design theory that explained a simple bacterial flagellum. A simple cell. The explanation was that this simple cell is a biological machine, a feat of nano-technology in a micropscopic scale.
A bacterial flagellum has a rotor, a stator, an O-ring, a U-joint, a propeller, a hook region; it has two speeds (forward and reverse); it rotates at more than 100 miles per second and can stop on a quarter-turn and reverse direction.
Now extrapolate this elegant design over the entire human body and then tell me that it is morally acceptable to destroy a life in its infancy and development. Then to have a government sanction such horror? You are out of your mind.
Abortion is a means of eugenics. It is an intention of certain arrogant ghouls eliminating undesirable (in their view) segments of society. It is no different than what Hitler attempted to do in his Nazi death camps, just a different means to the same grotesque end.
