Angel vs. Demon By Selwyn Duke

Whether or not President Barack Obama’s September 8 back-to-school
speech will be “historic” as his Department of Education (DOE) states,
it certainly is headline grabbing. His talk is currently the talk of
the nation, but thus far the only historic aspect of it is the
opposition it has inspired.

People are divided as to whether the presidential message should be
broadcast in school, and some school districts have already opted not
to air it.

This is typical of all the ridiculous paranoia about Obama and how he is supposedly trying to turn America into another Soviet Union or
    Castro’s Cuba etc.
The parents who want to keep their children from hearing Obama’s address are a bunch of idiots ! They’re terrified of having Obama “indoctrinate” their kids into becoming Godless commies, yet
brainwash those unfortunate children with religious fanaticism, homophobia, mindless jingoistic patriotism, anti-choice fanaticism,
mindless belief in Biblical inerrancy, creationism, and general intolerance and obscurantism . I pity those kids.

I though that, while Selwyn’s article was excellent, he went a little soft on Comrade Obama.
In totalitarian regimes, it is common for children to be rewarded for turning on their parents and other family members.
Obama’s poll ratings are in free fall. I see this as the first of many future attempts to do exactly that.

Robert, I agree the paranoia is intense, I read these guys saying because obama might mention the environment in his speech it’s a commie plot to make each child into a secret homosexual tree hugging “librul” who will probabaly abort granny while wearing secret alinski underpants.
The group i feel a tiny bit sad for are the serious conservatives who are watching their intellectual and political heritage spin clockwize down the toilet bowl.

Philip dont you EVER feel that you may be a little overwraught? if you use up all your screaming and barricade building now, what are you going to do if this adminstration actually DOES something leftish? (and I dont think his skin will get any less brown!). The horror!

I for one would be a lot more comfortable with the President of the United States addressing school children, if he would just read to them from a story book while New York City burns.

    Yoyo,
By suggesting that my opposition to the radical leftist background and policies of BHO has anything to do with the color of his skin is another false cheap-shot and utterly dishonest.
It is not that he is black (or “brown” as you suggest). It is because he is RED!
Please explain away BHO’s close associations with:
    Frank Marshall Davis.
    William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn.
Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright (and by proxy Louis Farrakhan).
    Van Jones.
    Mark Lloyd.
    Robert Holdren.
    Kenyan Islamo-Marxist Raila Odinga.
If you truly believe in Marxist policies, make your point. But it is an extreme stretch to attempt to cover up Obama’s Marxist background, his far-left legislative record and his Marxist policies in the seven months in the White House.

let me try again, apols if this comes twice.
    Philip,
Just of the top of my head, members of Bush’s inner circle that you wouldn’t let play with your children let alone have keys to the kingdom:
    *Karl Rove
*Josh Crescenzi Bush insider, seller of stolen fuel and dealer with drug lords
*james Inhofe – never met a torture that wansn’t just dandy
*Eric Prince – the blackest heart of Blackwater
    *Prince Banda – corrupt Saudi
*Ted Haggard – gave bush religious guidance while playing meth fueled toesy with a male prostitute.
These werem’t figures from Bush’s past they were right in the inner circle.

We shall see how this little charade goes. BHO has already had to alter his initial “lesson plan” because it was a bit too obvious. The one thing I expect to see over the next few days after the speech to the kids is systematic publicity on Nickelodeon and other leftist owned children’s networks. They will follow up the Furors propaganda on commercials and during the programs themselves. Just a hunch.

    Yoyo,
Another leftist tactic perfectly employed. Philip gave you a list of BHO’s associations to defend and instead of doing so you open a brand new unrelated case on Bush. That once was a clever tactic but it is pretty old now. Bush and his center left politics have nothing to do with BHO and his communist sympathies tendencies. It is becoming more and more apparent to me, Barrack Obama’s far left is really not at all ashamed of their Fascist/Communist ideals, they just prefer they stay quiet for a bit longer.

Three points here the first on these scary associations (none of which were illegal i may add)
    1. The big secret that Mr. Obama doesn’t want people to know, is that he didn’t attend church often. Rev. Wright may be a hyperbolic blow hard, but since when it is against the law to criticize this country, or anything else?
    2. If Mr. Obama had a strong personal relationship with Ayers, don’t you think Ms. Clinton would have splashed that across ANY hard (or digital) surface? By the way Ayers never killed anyone, was never charged with anything. Since when is it illegal to have poor judgment?
    3. The last example you use is entirely based on the premise that ACORN is “bad”. Of course an organization dedicated to the poor and disenfranchised can be characterized as “liberal”, but why would we (as Republicans) allow that? Are we too not for generosity, justice, compassion and charity? Are those not the ideals of sound moral character?
The people i have linked the last bush with committed illegal and/or immoral acts frequently and often in association with the government.
    Secondly
can you name anything more radical than the invasion of Iraq and occupation for 7 yrs with virtually zero positive impact on the. United States? If you can name one good thing that has come from that decision and policy, then I may read your posts without being a skeptic. Please dont forget the over 4000 dead U.S. soldiars and tens of thousands wounded to factor into your response. Oh, yeah, might as well include the hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi;s as well. Now then……… Reverend Wright means what to this conversation?. Acorn means what? My god how quickly we forget.
Finally in relation the speech which you repubs now say was a relation to the materials:
“Write me a letter — and I’m serious about this one — write me a letter about ways you can help us achieve our goals. I think you know the address.”
This is the idea that the right disingenuously claims caused all the trouble. Why do I think they’re lying? Because the above quote is froom George H.W. Bush’s national address to school children on October 1, 1991.

How about the enforcement of a treaty signed by Sadam Hussein as terms of a conditional surrender after the first gulf war. How about the fact that Hussein refused weapons inspectors many times and flipped his nose at the UN’s multiple sanctions and resolutions. Terms of surrender must be followed and enforced if they don’t, otherwise every tinhorn with a bigger cannon than their neighbor would be an imperialist. Not to mention the fact that he openly flaunted his secret weapons of mass destruction program. The guy was a totalitarian statist ass that killed his own people attacked his neighbors and threatened the entire Middle East. The only reason the parts of the world are against the Iraq war is because they got caught robbing the till in the oil for food scandal.
As far as BHO’s associations go, the point I would get to is you can tell a lot about a person about who they hang with.

    Dear yoyo,
I’ll give you credit for being a great propagandist and kudos for your sharp wit, but your world view is based on the lies and the deceit of the far left.
I shall deconstruct and respond to your latest missive.
“1. The big secret that Mr. Obama doesn’t want people to know, is that he didn’t attend church often. Rev. Wright may be a hyperbolic blow hard, but since when it is against the law to criticize this country, or anything else?”
You may have had a point had it not been for racist and Marxist sound bites that abound on the web from Van Jones and Mark Lloyd and the utter lunacy of Robert Holdren. There is a distinct pattern here that is irrefutable. Birds of a feather flock together. Why must you try so hard to defend the indefensible?
“2. If Mr. Obama had a strong personal relationship with Ayers, don’t you think Ms. Clinton would have splashed that across ANY hard (or digital) surface? By the way Ayers never killed anyone, was never charged with anything. Since when is it illegal to have poor judgment?”
I have heard this one before. If HilLIARy and her campaign staff attempted this one, she has far more skeletons in her closet; such as Rose Law Firm, Whitewater, Troopergate, Travelgate, Filegate, Don Lassater, Don Tyson, Ruby Ridge, Waco, Elohim City, Carol Howe, Jerry Parks, Vince Foster, Barry Seal, the Mena twins, Norman Hsu, etc., etc. Had enough? BHO had WAY more crap on HilLIARy than she had on him; not to mention a hypnotically sycophantic media in his corner. Two negatives do not make a positive, my friend. You should know better.
“3. The last example you use is entirely based on the premise that ACORN is “bad”.
Riddle me this: What is so “bad” about voter fraud (ACORN is under federal indictment for this in 11 states), voter intimidation and the intimidation of mortgage bankers?
“Are we too not for generosity, justice, compassion and charity?”
“Charity” when enforced by the Internal Revenue Service is not charity. It is Socialism. “Justice” is Marxist code for revolution. “Compassion” is not in the scope and capability of a federal (or state) government and its soulless bureaucrats. It is certainly not in the job description of ACORN goons who fill out thousands of voter registrations with the names of the dead, cartoon characters and celebrities.
“Are those not the ideals of sound moral character?”
I asked you in a previous debate from whence you derive your “morality”. Your answer was wanting. You claim to be unfamiliar with Holy Writ. It follows, therefore, that your invocation of this term and its objectives are mere sophistry. Full of sound and fury, but signifying nothing.
“The people i have linked the last bush with committed illegal and/or immoral acts frequently and often in association with the government.”
You must give further details to make your case. The American MSM HATED Bush. They would have used the minutest detail to excoriate him. To use your Clinton argument, why didn’t they? And shame on you for impugning Sen. Jim Inhofe, one of only a dozen or so decent human beings on Capitol Hill (and I count some Democrats among them).
“can you name anything more radical than the invasion of Iraq and occupation for 7 yrs with”
How’s this for starters? V.I. Lenin. Josef Stalin, Adolph Hitler. Benito Mussolin. Mao Tse Tung, Nikita Kruschev, Fidel Castro, Che Gueverra, Pol Pot, Kim Jong Il II, Hugo Chavez. The Rwanda genocide, Sudan, Mahammoud Ahmedinijad… how much time do we have?
“If you can name one good thing that has come from that decision and policy,”
Perhaps the liberation of 30 million Iraqis from an evil despot wasn’t such a hot idea. Rape rooms? Iron maidens? I need some time in order to rationalize this. I trust that you understand. You are probably too inculcated by the lying and liberal media to know the fact that the Congressional Resolution to remove the Saddam Hussein regime was confirmed under the CLINTON administration.
“Please dont forget the over 4000 dead U.S. soldiars and tens of thousands wounded to factor into your response. Oh, yeah, might as well include the hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi;s”
These numbers fluctuate wildly, depending on the source. You once suggested that I should venture into the other side of library. Quid pro quo?
“Reverend Wright means what to this conversation?”
That BHO’s ties to radical Marxist and Black Liberation theology are too close for mainstream America and unfit for our highest office. Perhaps much more.
    “Acorn means what?”
That the man occupying our Oval Office is likely to have been pushed over the top of the election by a radical group of thugs who think nothing of falsifying our sacred right to elect our own officials. That a considerable part of our economic crisis is the result of their intimidating lending institutions into making loans to people who did not have the means to repay them. That an admitted anti-capitalist radical (Saul Alinsky) spawned these vile groups to extort resources from those that earned it in order to give them to those that did not. This is indefensible and an utter disgrace for you to attempt to do so.
“Finally in relation the speech which you repubs”
I doubt that many visitors to this site are “repubs”. I certainly am not. In American national politics, Republicans differ only slightly from Democrats in that they are less likely to raise our taxes and less likely to take our guns. Both parties are replete with frauds and criminals. Oh, that reminds me: Republicans also differ from Democrats in that after they have been caught in scandals, they usually resign and do a credible job of faking their shame. Larry Craig, excepted but only after he cozied up to the Queen of Hearts (Dianne Frankenfeinstein).
“Because the above quote is froom George H.W. Bush’s national address to school children on October 1, 1991.”
Touché. Your point is well-taken. However, there was nothing in G.H.W. Bush’s résumé that linked him so often and so closely to radical Marxists and its ideology. Mao, Hitler and Pol Pot went directly after the young and convinced them to perpetrate heinous crimes against their families and their neighbors. Why shouldn’t we be concerned?

    Thank you Walt.
I truly hope that you are correct that “people are waking up”. BHO and his cadre of radical Marxists are using (to quote Machiavelli) “any means necessary” to deceive the public and use bald-face lies to impose their Marxist agenda on our Republic. Next on the list is Cass Sunstein; the man charged and determined with removing or reinterpreting the clear message of the 2nd Amendment.
Thank you again for your compliment and for the inspiration of your own postings. I will never lose heart because I know how this ends. Until the fulness of time brings this about, I will continue to champion truth and liberty alongside you, Shaun, Selwyn and Michael Savage.
