Obama Communications Director Anita Dunn: Mao Tse-tung “Favorite Philosopher”

So here is White House Communications Director Anita Dunn saying that Mao Tse-tung is one of her two "favorite philosophers." She then quotes him and holds him up as a role model for the students to whom she is speaking.

Well, what can I say? Is anybody listening? Anyone? Anywhere? Is this the kind of thing those of you on the left defend? Does it at all matter to you that Barack Obama has friends, allies and appointees who are avowed communists? Do you care that this appointee, Dunn, admires someone who murdered more people than Hitler?

Dunn also has a very strange and annoying habit of licking her lips noticeably and gratuitously every five seconds or so. This is definitely not a psychologically healthy woman.

Getting back to the rest of you on the left, you'd better think very carefully about whom you're supporting and why. Not only are you sowing the seeds of your own destruction, but when history is finally written, you won't be remembered kindly.

Choose wisely.

    Well, at least according to polls Obamamania is slowly fading away and at least some people are returning back to normalcy. I hope this guy continues. Obama has done more for American freedom than any “right” wing candidate could ever hope to do. I just hope the American people don’t think they can just vote some “Republican” back in office and fix the damage.

    Its really simple. To liberals. Words mean more than actions. Someones vision, what they hope to accomplish, what they SAY they want……is more important than the outcome of their vision. How they go about accomplishing their vision is also irrelevant.

    yoyo, why don’t you try being honest for a change? Are you insane? There’s a big difference between simply quoting Mao in a neutral way and what tongue lady did.     Yoyo, in case you haven’t figured this out. Most of us here despise both McCain and Bush(Both of them). I am personally grateful to have Obama rather than McCain. I also despise Lindsay Graham more than any other Senator in the U.S. In fact, I really don’t like Rush Limbaugh that much either. Do you see a pattern here?

    Jebus, cant you see that anyone can quote from published writers without being in their tank? Mao was a totally evil prick but most of his sayings were fairly anodyne. Easily quotable because not too intelligent. Of course you guys dont like mccain he’s only a republican war hero after all. You are hoping for a great conservative hero, unfortunately by the time this hero passes your tests for ideological purity they will be unelectable but good luck with that.

    FFS yoyo, are you a joke? Are you for real? Are you really that dense that you cant tell the difference between just quoting someone and quoting them because you agree with and like those statements? Have you been pulling our legs this entire time? Are you just an internet troll?
    She declared that he was one of her favorite philosophers. McCain didn’t and neither did Bush. And there is also a difference in quoting someone because you like the person and their line of thinking, like crazy lady does…and quoting someone because they said something that is just true, or infact the opposite of crazy lady. You want people to know what they said because its horrible and you need to know they said that to know how evil they are.
    Example. Hitler said this…
    “If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed.” This is a truism. One can agree that this is true, without liking it, or the person who uttered it.

She said that Mao was one of her two favorite philosophers. A person is only a favorite philosopher if you agree with him. She said that Mao is someone she ‘looks to.’ Do you look to people you don’t like and respect? Stop fooling yourself. You are a builder of tyranny.     And what does the fact you are a woman have to do with anything?     So, the substance of her words is lost. Crybaby Beck waves her off like she was shooting turds out of a cannon on stage. Yeah, her lip-licking is a little off-putting. John Leguizamo does it, too. It’s called dry mouth. Talking in front of a large crowd can be pretty daunting. But again, why focus on the actual substance of her words?     Yea you are probably right. I am sure one of the two political philosophers she turns to most has no influence on her world view. Another isolated incident. And also besides the 70,000,000 people he was directly responsible for killing, Mao was not a bad guy at all…just look at the photo of him…he looks kind and confident…there must have been a good reason to kill 70,000,000 people for a good looking guy like that to do such a thing. You know when a communist paradise is at stake what is not worthwhile? I am sure the first hand stories of parents swapping children so they didn’t feel so bad when they had to eat them, is just a wives tale. I wonder what Mao’s philosophy had to say about that.
    To justify Mao as a credible source of wisdom worth emulating takes a pretty demented mind; but that is nothing new. Travelers in the FDR admin looked away and justified Stalin’s genocide in the same way and again in Vietnam.
    To anyone that is reading this that has a lick of sense I would recommend a book by Jamie Glazov called United in Hate…it will help you understand the clouded mind of a leftist…you know like BHO crony Bill Ayers, who was planning the elimination of only 25,000,000 Americans to cement his socialist paradise.

Hell one the right’s heros Buchannan thinks that Hitler was not a monster just a misunderstood leader who was FORCED into killing jews. Not a one time quote, a reasoned argument put forth in a number of your major journals and a book promoted through your media channels. Robert Stacy Macain has as a hero several of the strongest apologists for slavery. He argues that “normal” people find intermarriage icky. (BTW this term does not exist in my country).
    As I said earlier Mao was a pig, your figures are totally rubbery but he did kill millions during his great leap forward. Stupid culpable prick! I was in Tianamen square 3 days after the 20th aniversary, security was massive but the most amazing thing to me was the way the cult of Mao as grown amongst gen Y in China.     Come on guys! I say guys, because Adrienne…there is something about you that frankly, rings a little butch to me. But, never mind about that. We’re having this deep, thoughtful, well-reasoned, discussion about Mr. Glenn Beck.
    And I’m telling you, if I saw someone that looked like him hanging around a playground, I’d be on the phone to the cops in a second. And you would too.
    I’m not saying Beck is a Registered Sex Offender. But, if they had a poster boy, it certainly could be him. Beside, he doesn’t seem all that emotionally stable; with the on air crying jags, his big awful surgery and the cover of his book where he looks like the KGB entry in a Gay Pride Parade.
    You’ve got to admit there has to be something wrong with the guy. I don’t make him for the strong, man-of-few-words, type like our friend Dan there; who seems to believe that he has the power to make you disappear by saying “shoo” over and over again.
