Like many in my set (maybe 4 or 5 of the 7 of us), I haven’t been a huge fan of Newt Gingrich. He is just a bit too much inside the box and inside the beltway for me. But I have never seen him more spot-on than in this video. I can fully endorse most everything he says in it. Believe me, it’s worth five minutes of your time.

I’m with Selwyn regarding Gingrich and I am with him about this speech. One can only hope that if, as Gingrich alleges and God forbid, America will lose a city; that the city would be Washington, D.C.

Perhaps we just need to be a bit nicer. Perhaps a few more apologies are in order. Perhaps BHO should demand an apology from the Catholic Church for the Crusades. Maybe we should all just convert to Islam…then we would be safe for sure. Let’s just trade safety for bondage like the Jews did with Pharaoh. I say NO! Give me liberty or give me death! Mahmoud and Osama warn us that they are willing to fight to the last man…the only way we can beat that is we must convince them we are willing to take the life of that last man with lard coated bullets. I do not see that resolve in the eyes of Americans…perhaps after we lose a city…if we unite against our invader rather than ourselves.

Mr. Duke, I think your first instinct was correct —– be very leery of Mr. Newt or he’ll getcha. Newt at his best … giving speeches & lecturing. Back in ’94, I made my own “I Love Newt” T-shirt. I sang his praises like you wouldn’t believe. But then he had to go & get in bed with the Pelosis and the Global Warmers and the Righteous Rev. Sharpton. He MUST realize that words have consequences (and I don’t think for a minute he’s blind-sided). He can’t lick his finger in the air and go whichever way the wind blows and keep getting away with it. We can’t keep ignoring his past blunders like aiding and abetting the enemy. Newt KNOWS better than to try to get along with his sworn enemies. What … he wasn’t worried then, but he is now? I think Newt is as poll-driven as most liberals are. There must be a name for this syndrome .. Newt Derailment Syndrome or something. I just can never forgive him for trying to get along with or try to change the thinking of or whatever he was trying to do with Pelosi, Hillary, Al Gore, Sharpton and the others. I’m telling ya … Newt KNOWS better and that’s why it’s doubly hard to swallow anything he says anymore. It may sound good, but next thing you know he’ll be arm-in-arm with some screwball liberal. By the way, please include me in the group of seven who are distrustful and weary of Newt.
