Fathers Jailed for Opting Children Out of Sex Ed

Could you imagine being jailed simply because you decided to opt
your children out of sex education? Well, this is exactly what is
happening to a number of fathers in Germany. And, if certain forces in
the United States have their way, such a policy could one day find its
way to our shores as well.

This story is unfolding in the German state of Salzkotten, where the
government has decided that all children must be indoctrinated with a
state-designed curriculum — including explicit sex education that most
parents would agree is inappropriate for children. Bob Unruh reports on
the story at WorldNetDaily.com, writing,
“The students who are being held out of sex education classes also are
not being allowed by their parents to participate in a play-acting
program called ‘My Body Belongs to Me,’ which essentially teaches
children how to engage in sex….”

    Look anyone who takes world nut daily as a source has a problem, these are the people that supported orly when she said obama had 200 dead peoples id numbers and every judge in america laughed at her. I like WND, they are funny just like the paper that talks about aliens on the moon and bat boy. One of the cute things about american media is the space you give to loony tunes.
    Re the germans, if you look at any reputable german media, the story is quite a bit different. German people do have the right to home school but they have to meet basic educational standards. I know it’s hard for those from “the land of the free” to feel comfortable with but if you “educate” your children such that they cant read and think that the world was created in 7 days yes that’s a form of child abuse.
    I’m sure your correspondents would think that indigenous australians who kept their kids out of school to only teach them in “language” and that the rainbow serpent was the cause of all geological formats and that white australians are really the ghosts of dead koories are not giving their kids the tools they need to survive.
    Either you agree that their are basic educational reqwuirements or you let rednecks teach their broods what ever they like. Fine by me, I just would never like to employ them.

    Did yoyo actually read Selwyn’s article? She couldn’t have or she might have know what a nitwit that she made herself out to be. Perhaps she is oblivious to this duplicity.
    I am anything but a “redneck” and I home-schooled my son straight A’s (there actually “4’s” here in California). I removed him from the public school system afte having had enough outrage at my son’s mandatory attendance at “Day of Silence” homosexual and deviant pervsion indoctrination and mandatory attendance at screenings of Fat Al Gorleone’s “An Inconvenient Goof” (produced by the Gorleone Crime Syndicate, La Cosa Fatso).
    In additional to my son’s exceptional intelligence (his outstanding grades, all in Honors courses) are certified by the Board of Re-education) he a genius musician who is skilled guitarist, singer and songwriter (for which he was trained) but he has since taught himself to play with competence, piano and keyboards, drums, banjo, saxophone, trumpet, violin and cello.
    So yoyo, watch what you say. Your daughters might ironically wind up as my son’s groupies.

    you really are a yoyo… you speak of basic educational standards … yet. when you think as you do you have given up the very right to see anything as a standard. The “basic”standard does not exist where truth is simply up to you. or him, or, that guy over there. Fact is in your world there isn’t even anything to account to – as accountability is nonexistent where truth is simply dialectic. So – yuk it up there “Mr pc truth is the vogue”. It takes a lots less faith to believe in a 7 day creation that it does to believe that there is no intelligent control. You see yoyo, truth is like art it requires that you actually draw a line somewhere. You do not start believing in nothing when you take God out of the scenario, you start believing in ANYTHING. Hey! (joys of the aerospace/security industry) Anyway, politicallyincorrect obviously wants a theocratical educational system, despite the fact I quite like the poetry in many religious texts, the chance some child abusing cleric is going to get his slimy hands on my girls is next to ziltch. No, mega christians your religious tome is not going to be the source of my girls morality, they are too intelligent for that.     The pieces to the air travel “security” breech are now coming together.
    And I am just curious Yoyo…is your goal for your Childs “morality” an amoral one? And do you figure by withholding information from your child or delivering it with a prejudice you are giving her the tools to live an intelligent life? You have obviously been hurt deeply by a “Christian,” however, you must remember that was a person or people; fallible indeed. Why deliver your personal hurts to your offspring? Is that not stereotyping? You are basing the knowledge you pass to your child on a very narrow cross section. Someday your child will learn, the modern Christian, is responsible for the foundation of a great number of hospitals and universities as well as the largest benefactor of national and international benevolence in the world. Ignorant perhaps, but to the millions of lives saved by the modern Christian, ignorance is bliss indeed….but I am sure your child will be protected from that knowledge. At any rate withholding information leads to a conditioned child, not an informed intelligent one. The gist of the article is not one of a father wanting his child to never know about sex but one that disputes the time and style of delivery; once a parents prerogative.

    I mean this as a friend who truly appreciates you. There are occasions where your thoughts seriously challenge the conservative establishment of this blogstream, but posts like this last one severely damage the cogency of your overall thoughts. If you intend to be serious, then be serious. Wait until the water-soluable effects of alchohol have left your body and THEN post. Save your wine for afterward.

    Hey my sweets, please excuse the typo’s unfortunately the first class lounge in Sydney has some very average keyboards although some reasonably good white. To those who worry about the impact such a non-believer may be having on her daughters, sorry I actually have taken them to churches, my house is full of bibles of various types (and other religious texts)and to be fair I deeply worry about home schooled children. What gives me a little comfort and may comfort you fundies is that children find their own way. Mine disagree with me, at times frequently, but not only are they phsyically gorgeous they are mentally wonderful and thats what any real parent would desire.
    PS off overseas at the crack of dawn tomorrow, if you react quickly I’d love to respond o’wise I’ll be back in a few days.

    Phil, you are a sweaty when you are not over praising your Walt or selwyn, thank you for your concern re my mental health, admittedly it is occasionally affected by alcohol but more often by the dreaded lag.
    Anyway I do have a real question for you my friend, why were you so scared that your son would learn not to beat up gay people? I can understand you being concerned he doesn’t become gay(good luck with that) but why do you hate a day that very clearly has no outcome more that trying to stop bullies killing gay young people?
