The Jihadists in America

It is a bucolic region of verdant meadows, rolling hills, and
babbling brooks, a largely peaceful place where big city hustle and
bustle and crime are very far away. Yet, like a pig in a beauty
contest, within this pastoral setting lies something incongruent: a
Jihadist training center. In this compound, women are taught to slit
throats and mount assault-weapon attacks and, presumably, some brand of
Islamic piety is the order of the day. But this place isn’t found in
the Mideast’s Fertile Crescent or in sub-Saharan Africa. It's name is
Islamberg. It's in the town of Hancock.

And it's in upstate New York.

    Wow! If that sort of camp was in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan or Yemen we would have a Predator drone in the air loaded to the teeth.
    Like many words in the English language, the word religion has lost its functionality. I know our founding fathers did not deem this sort of “religion”, religion. Perhaps, (as we should with many words) we need to define religion, so that things may be cleared up once and for all. Here is my rough draft-
    “Any group of people that claim a belief in a higher power, that within the context of their scripture or doctrinal dissemination thereof, orders, endorses or gives permission to harm another person physically, will not be recognized as a religion and all benefits reserved, typical of freedom of religion, according to the Constitution will be withheld. Such groups, reserving or maintaining the belief, that a deistic being can give mortal man the power to take the life of another whether from direct human/deity communication or from a dissemination of “holy text” will not be considered a religion; conversely considered an enemy of the State and mankind.”

    Selwyn’s readers should also know that the D.C. snipers, John Allen Mohammed and Lee Boyd Malvo were radicalized by this group.
    Walt is correct. To too many Moslems, Islam is not a religion but a political ideology that is a grave threat to American civil society and Western culture at large (and the rest of the civilized world, for that matter).
    It is time to confront PC (Political Cowardice) and demand of peaceful and moderate Moslems that they report radicals that are subverting this so-called “religion of peace” and turning it into the religion of pieces.
