   This part of China was not even part of that nation at the time,and the Chinese are not indiginous to it.
   The local people,the Uighurs,are ethnic Turks,asnd call this region “East Turkestan”.
   Xinjiang is part of the vast region known as Turkestan,which is mainly in the former Soviet Union,and consists of Kazakhstan,Turkmenistan,Uzbekistan, Kyryzstan and Tajikistan,
   which are Turkic,except for Persian-speaking Tajikistan.
   Even today,many Uighurs have caucasian features,or mixed caucasian/mongoloid.
   They are peaceful,moderate Muslims with a rich culture and are being terribly oppressed by Beijing. Many have fled to the other parts of Turkestan,Turkey,Europe and elsewhere,and several innocent Uighurs were sent to Guantanmo while trying to escape,but have fortunately been released. Uighur children are being forced to learn Chinese and Uighur Turkish is being suppressed as a language in China.
   Many Uighurs have been arrested and executed.

   Robert once again misses Selwyn’s point entirely – the denial of truth and the suppression of factual evidence.
   Selwyn’s article reminds me of the Clinton-era controversy over “Kenniwick Man” – a Caucasian skull that was discovered in the Pacific Northwest that far predates any evidence of the existence of North American Indians.
   The Clinton administration suppressed this evidence (along with an all-too-willing media) and succumbed to artificial and intellectually dishonest pressure from Native-American groups whose leaders profit enormously from back-door reparations (i.e. gambling casinos and other victimhood rackets).
   The Clintonistas went so far as to have the discovery site paved over. This is factual dishonesty in its most reprobate form. We are being lied to about every culturally-sensitive icon of the American and world-wide Left. If the Left does not lie and deceive at every turn, no one would support their claims.
   Robert Berger is a useful idiot of this sinister effort.

   I’m not a “useful idiot” for any “sinister effort” or anything.
   I’m no communist or fan of the Chinese government. Didn’t you see how I condemned Beijing’s appallingly brutal treatment of China’s ethnic Turks?
   But Phil France,YOU are a useful idiot for a REAL sinister effort by America’s extremely dangerous right-wing fringe. Don’t let unscrupulous,power-hungry and ruthless demagogues like Jim De Mint,Michele Bachmann and other right-wing scoundrels hoodwink
   you. They are their minions are the REAL threat to freedom in America today.
   Stop being so paranoid about the non-existent threat of communism in America when you should really be afraid a right-wing Washington politicos and those wolves in sheep’s clothing,the religious right.
   And how can any one take those long-discredited old farts in the pathetic John Birch society seriously?

   Congratulations for having everything entirely backwards. You think Obama is a “swell guy” when he is naked Marxist/Pan-Leninist. You fret of a Christian “Theocracy” when this is the LAST thing that devout Christians want while welcoming an Islamic Theocracy by thinking thusly.
   You claim to abhor communsism while repeating the talking points of Beijing and Moscow like a mindless parrot.
   You are probably cheering the unrest in Egypt while ignoring the repitition of history that you should have learned from a similar revolution in Teheran in 1979.
   If I had a picture of you, I would place it beside the dictionry definition of “useful idiot”. Your worldview is a blight against the rest of humanity and you are to be ashamed by your trust in the mainstream media as a source of unbiased information.
   The media has held a strong left-wing bias since the turn of the century. Walter Duranty, former editor of the Old York Times suppressed information of the horrors that Stalin brought about on his people. He was mum on the Rape of Nan King by the Japanese before WWII. Not a word was said while Mao starved and destroyed his own countrymen, some 60-70 million of them!
   The media portrayed Sen. Joseph McCarthy as a “witchhunter”, when, in fact, he was completely exhonerated as 100% accurate by the release of he Venona Decrypts by Boris Yeltsin.
   You, in your willful blindness, do not even know that we actually WON the Tet Offensive and the Vietnam War. The Paris Peace Accords were signed by the United States, North Vietnam, the Viet Cong and South Vietnam. Yet ******** like you continued to protest and the 94th (overwhelmingl Democrat) Congress refused to honor our Treaty and obligations. Do you have any idea how many millions of innocent people whose blood is on your hands? South Vietnamese, Cambodians and Laotians – their blodd is on YOUR hands you hopless dimwit. You are so soft in the head that you believed Edward R. Murrow, Walter Cronkite and Dan Rather. These men are/were rabid idealogues and outright LIARS!
   I have implored you before, please go away. You make all of us sick that an adult human being can really be so tragically wrong, so willfully ignorant and so blatantly stupid as to take on those who know infinitely much more than you do.
