Famed Leftist Gore Vidal Likely a Pedophile, Say Relatives

A famed man of letters and sexual liaisons who never had a kind word for traditionalism, the late Gore Vidal hobnobbed with the rich and influential and locked horns with William F. Buckley on television. During one of these debates, Vidal called Buckley a “pro-crypto-Nazi,” prompting Buckley to call him a “queer.” Only one of these accusations was true, but both pale in comparison to a charge Vidal’s own relatives are now leveling at the writer.

That, as the Daily Mail puts it, he was a “globe-trotting paedophile who preyed on underage boys.”

The revelation came courtesy of Vidal’s half-sister Nina Straight and her son, Burr Steers, while talking to Tim Teeman, author of the new book In Bed with Gore Vidal. Both Straight and Steers were quite close to the writer during his last years; Vidal died in 2012 at age 86.

    As this story comes from a right-wing extremist neanderthal by the name of Selwyn Puke, I am extremely doubtful of its truth . Homosexuality and pedophilia are NOT the same thing. Even if Vidal WAS guilty of pedophilia , the vast majprity of gay men are NOT pedophiles , and most pedophiles are in fact HETEROSEXUAL .
    This idiotic article is just a vile attempt to smear homosexuals in general. There are also many
    straight people who are guilty of vile sexual misconduct . Sexual misconduct has nothing to do with sexual orientation . Fact- far more children are molested by heterosexuals than homosexuals .

    Seems Selwyn talking about Pedophiles has you all worked up. Wonder what skeletons are in your closet? Oh, and of course there are more hetero pedophiles as there are far more hetero people by a far margin. That doesn’t really add to your argument. A good argument would claim that far more hetero’s are pedophile per capita than homo’s. Good luck finding any evidence to support that claim though.

    No one can be intelligent, honest and liberal at the same time. It’s possible to be only two of them at once, regardless of the combination. Rational argument is for “right-wing extremist neanderthal[s]”

    I typically admire your postings but how can one be honest and liberal at the same time? The very term “liberal” as understood today is a lie. Modern “liberals” are only truly liberal about sex, drugs and violent crime. In every other aspect of life they are crypto-fascists cloaked in “do-gooder” clothing.
    Here’s wishing Selwyn Duke and his readers (including Robert the Reprobate) a blessed Thanksgiving holiday.

    Shaun, there are no skeletons in my closet, and I’m not gay myself. I just loathe bigotry toward gay people . It’s no better than white racsim toward blacks or anti-semitism .
    If any white person were to say the kind of ugly and hateful things against black people that are so
    common with conservatrives talking about homosexuality today , he or she would be condemned and
    shunned as a rcist monster . But it’s still perfectly okay to say horrible and blatantly untrue things about gay people in public today .
    And don’t give me all that baloney about blacks not choosing their skin color . Gay people don’t “choose” to be gay either and even if they did, it’s still no business of anyone else .

    Philip, a liberal, whatever that means now, can be honest, but if and only if he is a complete moron.
    I’ve had the opportunity to know several of them. They are the litter soldiers, the useful idiots. They betray themselves by their fanaticism and unconditional love to the leader. They are able of regurgitate every bit of propaganda without hesitation or doubt. However, they do not do it for personal benefits whatsoever. They do not aspire to climb the social or political ladder. Those are the brainless followers. It easy to find them in political gatherings cheering the leader and repeating slogans, for example “Yes, we can”

    Hello Cristina,
    I appreciate your reply and I accept your explanation but only to a degree. Yes, the sycophants are likely sincere in their devotion and support for leftist causes and to the Liar-in-Chief but sincerity is no guarantee for truth. Those identifying as modern “liberals” are intellectually dishonest, otherwise they could not support these positions.
    Take Robert the Reprobate for example. He posts here ostensibly to defend the sexual perversion of homosexuality and the false “bigotry” of those that oppose it while mitigating the pederasty and pedophilia of Gore Vidal. Is he sincere? Most likely. Is he honest? Hardly.
    I commend you for eloquence and always look forward to your comments here.

    Honesty is excluded if the man is intelligent and liberal. He can not trick himself!
    Intelligence is excluded if the man is honest (truthful in the expression of his beliefs, a true believer) and liberal. This is the complete moron I mentioned before.
    Liberalism is excluded if the man is intelligent and honest. Those are the liberal leaders.
