America’s “firsts” aren’t what they used to be. Where they once included putting a man on the moon and heavier-than-air flight, now they’re trillion-dollar deficits, a trillion pieces of metadata NSA-processed, and six-trillion-dollar foreign military adventures. And coming to you straight from Maine is another fantastic first. Writes Yahoo News:

School officials violated state anti-discrimination law when they would not allow a transgender fifth-grader to use the girls' bathroom, according to a ruling by the highest court in Maine that's believed to be the first of its kind.

The family of student Nicole Maines and the Maine Human Rights Commission sued in 2009 after school officials required her [him] to use a staff, not student, restroom….

 

The court concluded that the Orono school district's actions violated the Maine Human Rights Act, which bans discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity.

    A solution might be to create “third gender” restrooms, for all those (from Agender to Transfeminine) who do not “feel” like a man or woman. However, I would predict that most private institutions in America will find that installing such facilities will be far too expensive. Of course, given laws like the Americans with Disabilities Act, the government has rarely cared about losses, wherein the costs outweigh the benefits. So, I am thinking that more anti-discrimination laws will be forthcoming.
    NB: I am not sure whether the persons of the listed “gender identities” won’t end up fighting one another for state privileges. Perhaps a Demigirl will feel that a Guydyke is not a real “third gender.” I do enjoy it when the protected victim groups squabble.

    There is also the matter that it may well be true that there are multiple “genders,” but perhaps it is part of “God’s not making mistakes” for people of such genders to struggle hard to correct and define their souls as either fully male or fully female. I mean, when a sculptor works, initially and as work progresses, the statue may go through a variety of looks, from not even human to a guy with no dick. Non-standard “genders” weirdly “felt” may simply be undeveloped personalities.

    If the parents of this boy, instead of helping him in his quest for his true “gender identity”, help him to grow claws because he feels he is a bear trapped in a human body, would they be considered loving, caring parents or afflicted of folie à trois or folie en famille?
    Would the school, the judge, the whole society be considered suffering folie à plusieurs?
    What is it that makes sex a different category altogether for the progressives?
    Why are the feelings much more important than the thoughts?
    Are we intentionally being undiminished to an animalistic state, incapable of self-restrain and responsible behavior?
    Who benefits the most of the resulting debasement of this modern “panem et circenses”, of this “sexus et psychotropicum”?
