“In 10 years we will all be Muslims because of our stupidity,” stated Italian Monsignor Carlo Liberati recently. Making his comments in an interview with Catholic journal La Fede Quotidiana, the archbishop emeritus of Pompeii was lamenting Western Europe’s transition into secularism and what may ultimately cause a transition back out of it: the influx of massive numbers of Muslim migrants into the West and these newcomers’ robust birthrates.

This trend was also noted by late Libyan leader Muammar Gadhafi, who said in a 2006 speech, “We have 50 million Muslims in Europe. There are signs that Allah will grant Islam victory in Europe — without swords, without guns, without conquest — will turn it into a Muslim continent within a few decades.”

While I agree with your premise, one of the many reasons that Americans are not having large families is simply because the amount of income left over after all of the government agencies have gotten their chunk has gotten smaller each year. The absolute poor know that they cannot afford to have big families and what is left of the working middle class don’t really have enough money left after taxes and the necessities of life to consider more than one or two kids. It was a struggle for my wife and I to meet the needs of our family back in the 70’s thru the mid 90’s just to get the kids to where they could fend for themselves. It is worse to do today, because taxes are even higher, costs of almost everything is higher, the economy has been stagnant for years and finding a good paying job is more difficult than ever. The dollar is inflated to the point that it is almost worthless. The one place where job openings have increased most is in governmental departments. If Mr. Trump has his way some of those people will soon have to look elsewhere for their employment. The screws have been tightening on everyone but the rich. Whoever said that the rich get richer and poor get poorer certainly had vision.
