How Low We’ve Sunk: Telling Video of California

Here is a remastered video of streets in California in the 1940s. It really illustrates how low we've sunk. Notice in the footage that there's no garbage in the gutter, no syringes or human feces on the sidewalk, and everyone is well dressed. This is what a civilized, functioning society looks like. 

What we witness today — severe decay — is the result of so-called liberalism, elements of which, of course, many conservatives embrace. California is now our first Third World state. There are more to come, too.

    A book could be written to cover the many facets this slim post evokes in me.
    The times that people live in convey their responses with feedback and feed-forward to where people can be lost from themselves. Not knowing oneself lends weight to which ever path a society’s will is currently placed.
    Not thought of much is the duty we all have in making our state’s society work as these are the elements under our control which make up the USA. People choose to accept their duty to, or withdraw their support from, their society or their government – the equation of civil life and the means to effect change.
    So-called “modern” liberalism is plantation life in bondage.
    Liberalism of 250 years ago created our system of Self-Government – a radical idea even now.
    Freedom requires Responsibility
    Responsibility – the free exercise of restraint
