“We’re not pro-abortion; we want it to be safe, legal — and rare.” That’s what the Left used to say, anyway. But that’s really now, well, so 2007. Since then, we heard Barack Obama campaigning in 2008 and talking about how, if his daughters “make a mistake,” they shouldn’t be “punished with a baby.” In 2015, we witnessed the “Shout Your Abortion” social-media campaign, which casts prenatal infanticide as a source of pride. And now a co-founder of that movement, Amelia Bonow, has taken the next step.

She has written a brightly illustrated book for children age five to eight that calls abortion a “superpower.”

Regarding its title, some people have said that family is everything. Others accept that God is everything. Bonow, however, appears to almost worship prenatal infanticide, calling her book Abortion is Everything. No, this is not satire.

Going Full Demonic

Reporting on the work, scheduled for release in 2026, Fox News wrote Sunday that it

puts a positive spin on the divisive medical procedure [that’s a euphemism itself].

“It’s extremely concerning to me that they are aiming this kind of messaging at children as young as 5,” Sarah Gabel Seifert, CEO and co-founder of pro-life diaper company EveryLife, told Fox News Digital.

Written by activist Amelia Bonow and educator Rachel Kessler, the book touts abortion as a “uniquely human superpower” that allows humans to “make choices that lead us toward the life we envision.”

Shout Your Abortion recommends parents, other caregivers and teachers use the book as a resource to introduce the subject to children.

Gabel Seifert, a mother to two daughters, warned the book does more than normalize abortion, arguing it “frames it as a virtue.”

“Abortion is not ‘everything.’ Abortion ends everything. It ends a life,” she said. “Our children deserve a better narrative. We should be teaching them about the beauty, dignity and value of every human life, and that life should be celebrated, protected and defended from the moment of conception.”

The pro-life organization Live Action noted that Bonow has a history of promoting abortion to children, pointing to her appearance in a “Kids Meet” video series in 2019 in which she discussed her own abortion experience.

Below is a relevant tweet containing an image of the book’s cover.

An Instagram post touting the book explains the “uniquely human superpower” a bit further. “Abortion is a tool that allows human beings to shape our destinies,” it states, “and which has shaped the entire world around us.”

Movement Toward a Dark Honesty?

The only saving grace here is that Bonow is perhaps more honest than the “safe, legal, and rare” crowd. As pundit Olivia Murray opines in related commentary:

Now, to give credit where credit is due, murder is in fact a “uniquely human” capability, and the indiscriminate and wholesale slaughter of entire groups of people does in fact “shape” the “world around us.” I guess that much is accurate.

Vladimir Lenin and Joseph Stalin “shaped” the world around them, making it drastically less Christian, through a “tool” identical to abortion: mass executions.

Mao did as much, “shaping” his nation into a place with tens of millions fewer Chinese, through “tools” like collectivization and again, mass executions. So did Mao’s successors, ironically, through the same “tool” applauded by the Abortion is Everything authors, starting with Deng Xiaoping in 1979, continuing until about ten years ago, when the Chinese government under Xi Jinping officially ended the one-child policy.

Murray mentions Khmer Rouge communist despot Pol Pot, too. His superpower was the ability to exterminate approximately one-quarter of Cambodia’s population in just four years (1975-1979).

The pundit then quoted a commenter online, who quipped that Bonow’s book could be the first in a series. To wit:

  • “The Superpower of Murder” [synonymous]
  • “The Superpower of Deceit”
  • “The Super power of Mutilating Yourself”
  • “The Superpower of Being Gay”
  • “The Superpower of Being Trans”
  • “The Superpower of Worshipping Satan”

The Truth Behind the Joke

Unfortunately, we actually could imagine some of today’s reprobate minds penning such titles. This is because, as I’ve explained previously, what’s termed “leftism” is not so much an ideology. Rather, it’s more of a process — that of movement toward disorder. (Conservatism, in attempting to preserve the status quo, is the process of trying to maintain the current level of disorder.)

How can this be understood? Well, obviously, moral order is a prerequisite for civilization. If people are running around committing crimes, doing drugs, having out-of-wedlock babies, and being absentee parents, society won’t flourish. Yet the Left continually attacks what’s necessary for moral order: virtue (that set of objectively good moral habits).

Vicing Up Virtue

An obvious example is the Sexual Devolution, with its never-ending attempt to dumb down our mores. In reality, though, it’s hard finding a virtue the Left doesn’t assail. As to this, consider a comprehensive list:

  • Faith — attacks on this include separation-of-church-and-state myths and the ridiculing of Christianity; e.g., “You believe in sky fairies!”
  • Hope — how much will people have when faith is destroyed and they believe we’re mere organic robots comprising chemicals and water? Leftism breeds nihilism.
  • Honesty — just consider the “intellectual” essays justifying deceit.
  • Charity — leftists work to destroy charity by outsourcing a simulacrum of it to the state. They engender the notion that “it’s the government’s job.”
  • Courage — by demeaning manliness and encouraging a snowflake-like fixation on feelings, the Left creates capons and clucking hens.
  • Justice — the Left trades it for “equity.”
  • Temperance — the Left’s “If it feels good, do it” credo contravenes moderation and self-control.
  • Prudence — wisdom is “knowledge of what is true or good.” Leftists’ moral relativism makes it foreign, as Truth and goodness then become mere social constructs.
  • Chastity — the Sexual Devolution has already been mentioned.
  • Diligence — the Left has actually demeaned manifestations of this virtue, such as punctuality and industriousness, as “white norms.”
  • Patience — leftists stoke anger, cultivate a spirit of entitlement, and encourage people to throw tantrums to get “what they’re owed” now.
  • Kindness, Forgiveness, and Love — leftists tolerate or even encourage envy, ridicule, hatred, and viciousness. The mocking of Charlie Kirk’s assassination is a prime example.
  • Humility — the Left advocates its opposite, pridefulness, under the guise of “self-esteem” training.

Given this, is it any surprise that, research shows, liberals are more likely than conservatives to raise “mentally ill” kids? That is, if they don’t abort them first.

Addendum: Those interested can watch the below video from the 2023 film Nefarious. In it, a man claiming to be a demon discusses the reality of abortion, likening it to pagans’ sacrifice of infants to the mythical god Moloch. It’s apropos since America’s abortion lovers are beginning to approach infanticide with pagan-like enthusiasm.
