• My Appearance on the Jason Hartman Podcast

    Radio MicrophoneBy Selwyn Duke

We discussed deep issues such as entertainment's effects on civilization. What brought me to Hartman's attention was my essay "Influential Beats: The Cultural Impact of Music." I was on for almost an hour and 20 minutes. Click below to listen.

  • Journalist DISAPPEARED After FBI Raided His Home Seeking Classified Info

    Spy SilhouetteBy Selwyn Duke

It sounds like something out of Iron Curtain Eastern Europe or a movie: Government agents raid a journalist’s home and seize information from him.

Then he disappears — and even months later, friends, colleagues, and acquaintances have no idea where he is.

Except that this just happened in real life, this year, in these United States.

  • MSNBC’s Anti-white, Race-hate TV

    Prejudice SignBy Selwyn Duke

“The white race is the cancer of human history,” wrote feminist Susan Sontag. That was back in 1967, and Sontag herself died nigh on 20 years ago. Yet her sentiment not only lives on, but, in fact, now has its own dedicated TV station: MSNBC.

So said Fox News host Tucker Carlson last night while reporting on standard MSNBC rhetoric that, admitted the commentator, he didn’t even know about until email respondents alerted him to it. And, boy, what rhetoric it is.

  • Obama Criticizes Cancel-cultist Dems in Midterm Run-up

    Politically CorrectBy Selwyn Duke

“Whoever marries the spirit of this age will find himself a widower in the next,” the saying goes. Barack Obama may now be just beginning to learn this, as even he called today’s new “woke” liberals “buzzkills” in a recent interview.

Ironically, though, the ex-president is campaigning for the very cancel-cultist Democrats he’s complaining about and saying, essentially, “Take it from ‘moderate’ me — vote for these radicals.”

  • Once Upon a Time: How NYC Won the War on Crime

Police CruiserFighting crime doesn’t require new ideas or old ideas — but eternal ideas. New York City once understood this.

    By Selwyn Duke

It’s a conversation I’ll never forget. My best friend and I were driving down to Manhattan to dine, in what had become a weekly ritual for us. We were discussing the crime in New York City, as many Big Apple residents no doubt did at that time, the mid-1990s. After all, as a result of the then-waning crack epidemic and turpitude-tolerant policies, criminality had been rampant and making headlines. I remember that we mentioned certain statistics, notably that the city had seen approximately 2,000 murders a year.

Our conversation would quickly become eerily and tragically ironic. As we drove along Bruckner Boulevard in the Bronx’s Mott Haven section at about 8:40 p.m., we witnessed what turned out to be a high-profile murder, of a well-regarded Hispanic businessman and millionaire named Thomas Cuevas. We spent much of that night in a police station giving witness statements. In yet another irony, a week or two later my friend and I were driving the same route and his car broke down — within probably 30 feet of where the murder had occurred. While in the neighborhood subsequently getting his vehicle repaired, my friend heard grapevine information, which he later related to authorities, that might have aided their investigation. The perpetrators were eventually apprehended — it was at least partially an inside job.

What’s also partially an inside job — perpetrated by politicians peddling bad policy (and, in fairness, the voters enabling them) — is high crime.

  • Biden Administration Proposes MERGING U.S. With Mexico and Canada

    Banana RepublicBy Selwyn Duke

“No border, no wall, no U.S.A. at all!” This line has been chanted by Antifa and other anti-American agitators. But now, a new report reveals, it has prominent supporters in a very high place: the Biden regime’s upper echelons.

The administration’s hand was tipped by Mexican president Andrés Manuel López Obrador (aka AMLO) when he announced recently that Secretary of State Tony Blinken proposed opening all borders among the U.S., Mexico, and Canada.

“I think that Mr. Blinken spoke about consolidating the region of North America,” said AMLO — “and we agree on that.”

Of course, since Blinken speaks for the Biden administration, it’s fair to assume this is now unofficial federal policy.

While this story should be front-page, it has largely been ignored by the media.

  • Another Immigrationist Import: India’s Caste Discrimination

    Prejudice SignBy Selwyn Duke

Ninety percent of American Hindus voted for Barack Obama, but this doesn’t mean they subscribe to his anti-discrimination rhetoric (any more than he does). In fact, says an Indian prelate, many of them not only discriminate, but apply what may be the world’s strictest form of discrimination: India’s caste system.

So writes Joseph D’Souza, archbishop of the Anglican Good Shepherd Church of India. He says that even though India has banned “the practice of ‘untouchability,’” it “has not made any dent in the caste mindset of privileged Indians.” And now, via immigration, this system has been brought to our shores.

  • Left’s Nightmare Dilemma: Muslims Wage Jihad Against School Board’s LGBTQ+ Books

    Sex EducationBy Selwyn Duke

It’s almost like finding out what happens when an irresistible political force meets an immovable political object. In recent years, parents have been tarred as “terrorists” and targeted with an intended DOJ investigation for vociferously complaining to school boards about the classroom sexualization of their children.

In those cases it was clear which side the pseudo-elite establishment was on. But it may not be so clear in Dearborn, Michigan, where some parents have savaged their school board for the same reason. Even though they expressed un-woke sentiments such as homosexuality is a “big sin,” they're relatively immune from criticism because they have a quality the other parents don’t:

    They’re Muslim.

And what’s the result when this Democratic constituency clashes with another, the sexual devolutionaries?

Answer: crickets from the feds and national media.

  • Dr. What? Med Students Pledge to Honor All “Marginalized” “Indigenous Ways of Healing”

    Bad DoctorBy Selwyn Duke

Approximately 20 years ago, a doctor I know well told me that the people entering her field are now “bottom of the barrel.” Fast-forward two decades and some are aiming to be top of the totem pole — as they’re taking an oath to “honor all Indigenous ways of healing historically marginalized by Western medicine” and fight “white supremacy, colonialism, gender binary, ableism and all forms of oppression.”

Worse still, the oath was apparently formulated by medical students themselves.

The pledge was made by incoming medical students at the University of Minnesota (UM)….
