• Worried About the Shot? Visit the Kaufman Institute for Coincidence

    Kaufman-Institute-01.13.23By Selwyn Duke

Sometimes, as is said, if you don’t laugh, you’ll cry. It’s also true that, as with British writer Jonathan Swift’s “A Modest Proposal,” humor can often be an excellent way to change minds. In this vein, there’s a new parody for the “Kaufman Institute for Coincidence” (KIC) that deals with a certain type of high-tech snake oil ostensibly designed to ward off a certain type of boogeyman infectious disease. It’s that snake oil you’re never, ever supposed to mention in a negative light lest you be censored by social media (thus do I often call it the “Voldemort Agent”), a squelching of freedom which, we can be sure, is just another coincidence.

The video packs a lot into its two minutes, and opens with a runner suddenly clutching his heart and the narrator asking, “Are you or a loved one suffering from a medical coincidence? You want proper medical care but you don’t want people sniffing around asking a whole bunch of questions about what might be causing your problem. At the Kaufman Institute for Coincidence, we won’t look into the cause of your heart or other problem. We’ll just fix it.”

The parody is funny and professionally done, but to relate more would be to issue spoilers. So without further ado, here’s the video….

  • Strength via Diversity? Islam Continues Influencing the West

    MuslimStarandCrescentBy Selwyn Duke

“Allahu akbar!” — an often misinterpreted exclamation meaning “Allah is the Greatest!” — has been heard quite a bit recently. It was shouted by an American teen convert to Islam who rang in the New Year by stabbing three police officers near Times Square. It was screamed by a Tunisian man in France when he threatened cops with a gun during a Saturday arrest for allegedly having killed his wife. It was also exclaimed Saturday by a Muslim man who fired a pellet gun into the air in a Jewish NYC neighborhood, by a Libyan national who stabbed five people in Paris Wednesday, and during New Year’s Eve violence in Vienna, Austria.

Whether it was uttered when an American locality’s Muslim city council recently voted to legalize animal sacrifice was not reported.

But, of course, our strength lies in our diversity — and Joe Biden is thus strengthening us continually. Why, he has released more illegals into our interior in the last 100 days than the whole population of Montana. Perhaps he has his reasons, too: Biden equivocated when asked recently if entering the U.S. was a “right.” Where any such right might be in the Constitution also was not reported.

Going from rights to wrongs, “white supremacy” is the greatest domestic threat we face, our authorities tell us.

  • Biden Admin to Scientists: If You Want Grants, You MUST Promote Inclusion and Equity

Back to School DuncecapBy Selwyn Duke

The Biden administration has a message for scientists: Get woke or go broke.

At issue is a new policy by the Department of Energy (DoE), America’s chief physical sciences’ funder, that demands grant applicants demonstrate adherence to social-justice orthodoxy.

  • Gas Stove Ban Would Ravage Restaurant Industry; Its Spirit Would Destroy Far More

Boot on Declaration of IndependenceBy Selwyn Duke

More than 72,000 restaurants were destroyed by misguided pandemic lockdowns. Thousands of these were in New York State, and many of those in the Big Apple, where restaurateurs must also contend with high rents and business-damaging “woke complaints.” Yet now they face another threat: a proposed ban on gas stoves that would reportedly cut their productivity 40 percent.

Along with the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s (CPSC’s) consideration of a nationwide gas-stove prohibition, New York governor Kathy Hochul is proposing to make her state our country’s first to ban natural gas heating and appliances in all new buildings.

Unlike the CPSC, however, which justifies its unconstitutional desire as a public health matter — while also likely having global-warming-thesis-oriented motives — Hochul wears her greentopian climate banner openly.

  • Cultural Revolution and the “College-educated Ignorant”: Brainwashed Kids Disown Parents

    Politically CorrectBy Selwyn Duke

“In junior high they’d come home saying they wouldn’t say the Pledge of Allegiance anymore,” one mother related. “They told me boy and girl bathrooms were wrong and they should all be gender neutral. That’s how it started.” How it ended was with estrangement from her own children.

Another mother told a similar story, with her daughter once refusing to attend Thanksgiving dinner because it celebrated “Columbus’ genocide.” That all started after the young lady had “an awakening” in her sophomore year of college.

Welcome to the world of kids who trade their parental relationships for cult-like ideology.

Last November, The New American reported on Annabella Rockwell, whose brainwashing in academia turned her into an unhappy, anti-male social-justice warrior bent on “reforming” her mother and fighting the “patriarchy,” all while wallowing in victimhood and battling a campus-acquired alcohol problem. Her mom finally had to pay a deprogrammer $300 a day to restore her sanity.

Now, after reading about Rockwell’s story in the New York Post, other parents have come forward to reveal they also have lost children to this cultural revolution — and that they seek deprogramming for them, too.

  • Teachers Want to Re-educate Boys “Brainwashed” by Manosphere’s Andrew Tate

    Unhappy StudentBy Selwyn Duke

Teachers in the United Kingdom are upset. Many of their young adolescent boy students, rebelling against feminism, are listening to the Manosphere’s Andrew Tate and are espousing his hyper-masculine views. These teachers say the lads are being “brainwashed” and find this most troubling, which is understandable.

They no doubt feel that’s their job.

Tate, an ex-kick boxer, former reality TV star, and British “influencer” reportedly worth $100 million, figures prominently in the news at present because of a December 30 arrest in Romania on sex-trafficking and rape charges. Tate, who was taken into custody after a high-profile Twitter dust-up with teen climate alarmist Greta Thunberg, denies the allegations.

Undeniable is that the 36-year-old Tate has great influence.

  • Transgenderism’s “Crisis of Scientific Legitimacy”

    Sex Symbols-ConfusionBy Selwyn Duke

Perhaps beset by “species dysphoria,” or maybe just faking it depending on the case, certain people claim to be animals trapped in a human body. Yet if their “identity”-oriented beliefs became a movement, “transspeciesism” (a phenomenon already suggested), it would raise eyebrows. What’s more, if this did happen, would it shock anyone to hear that “transspeciesism” had no scientific legitimacy, that it was politics, not science?

Similarly, is it surprising that, writes the Washington Examiner, “[t]ransgenderism is experiencing a crisis of scientific legitimacy”?

  • Preteen Psychopaths: Are Precocious Kid Killers Getting Younger and More Conscienceless?

    Demonic GirlBy Selwyn Duke

A six-year-old shoots his teacher in class, a 12-year-old fatally stabs her younger brother just before midnight, a 10-year-old murders his mother because she wouldn’t buy him a virtual-reality headset. This is just a sampling of our time’s heinous preteen crimes.

All three incidents occurred just recently, too.

Yet are these mere outliers and coincidences? Or do they reflect a troubling trend?

Homicide cases in American juvenile courts did rise by 35 percent between 2014 and 2018, the Department of Justice informed in a 2020 report. The spike was eyebrow-raising because it coincided with a period during which the incidences of many other types of crime were decreasing. Moreover, an increase was observed in both black inner-city and rural white communities.

Most of these murders, however, involved teens, many of whom were drug-involved. Yet there’s an obvious truth here: Our toxic, morally rotting culture is like polluted air, affecting all — including the youngest among us.

  • New York Post: Ashari Hughes, 16, dies after Desert Oasis High School flag football game

    By Dean Balsamini

A 16-year-old girl collapsed and died after suffering a medical emergency during a high school flag football game in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Sophomore Ashari Hughes, 16, who played for Desert Oasis High School, collapsed around 7:30 p.m. Thursday after a home game against Valley High School, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported. She was hospitalized and died later that night, the paper said.

The tragic episode unfolded just three days after Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed after suffering cardiac arrest during a “Monday Night Football” match-up against the Cincinnati Bengals that was witnessed by millions. Hamlin is now “awake” and showing “remarkable improvement,” according to officials.

Despite heroic efforts, the 16-year-old Nevada student could not be saved.

  • Tackling Anti-male Courts: Man Changes Sex, Becomes “Mom,” to Win Child Custody

    Arm-wrestling-Man vs. WomanBy Selwyn Duke

He’s not exactly Mrs. Doubtfire, a male film-character who masqueraded as a female housekeeper in order to see his children, custody of whom he’d lost via divorce. But one Ecuadorian man is the closest thing to that you’ll find:

He has legally “changed his sex” in an effort to see his kids after an acrimonious marital split.

The thinking is vintage 2020s: In a time where identity is fancied reality, the easiest way to avoid anti-male discrimination is female impersonation.
