• Dr. Climatelove or: How to Learn to Stop Worrying and Love CO2

    CO2 in SkyBy Selwyn Duke

How much of the air we breathe is carbon dioxide? A typical answer, one writer states he hears, is 20 percent.

The actual figure is four one-hundredths of one percent (or 400 parts per million).

“How can such a small magnitude of CO2 be dooming humanity?” ex-professor Ron Ross, Ph.D., then asks, posing what he says is the “one point that can get people off the global warming obsession train.”

The gas’ atmospheric concentration isn’t readily divulged because, if it were, CO2 couldn’t be a global-warming bugaboo….

  • Indiana ‘Trans’ Fight Absurd? It Was Also Predictable

    Sex Symbols-ConfusionBy Selwyn Duke

“Indiana’s legal fight highlights the absurdity of the transgender movement,” reads the headline. The MUSS (Made-up Sexual Status, aka “transgender”) agenda certainly is absurd. But did it come out of nowhere?

Or is it an outgrowth of absurdities accepted long ago?

  • Kids’ “Sex Change” Clinic Founder Got Money From Makers of Puberty Blockers

    Sex Symbols-ConfusionBy Selwyn Duke

Are some doctors abusing children for money? The answer may be yes if the case of Dr. Stephen Rosenthal, co-founder and director of a clinic that facilitates children’s “sex change” attempts, is any indication. The issue:

The physician received payments from two pharmaceutical companies that are being investigated for advertising puberty blockers — drugs that ravage children’s bodies and can cause irreparable damage.

  • Code Red: GOP Wave Inevitable? Not With Big Tech Election Meddling, It Isn’t

    874847_lowBy Selwyn Duke

Big Tech now has the capacity to shift up to 15 million votes in an American election. This isn’t the judgment of some far-right watchdog group but of Dr. Robert Epstein, a liberal and the senior research psychologist at the American Institute for Behavioral Research and Technology. He has long been studying GoogTwitFace’s ability to manipulate public opinion and hence voting and, despite being of the Left, is disturbed by the prospect of a high-tech oligarchy choosing our leaders.

Epstein hasn’t been prominent in the news of late. But his warning must be placed front and center because, as The Washington Post’s ironic motto warns, “Democracy Dies in Darkness.” And darkness is precisely what GoogTwitFace (Big Tech) prefers operating in — especially when, for example, trying to sway elections, such as our upcoming midterms.

  • Muslim Jihadists Threaten Nigeria’s Capital, Forcing School Closures and Student Evacuations

    MuslimStarandCrescentBy Selwyn Duke

While the Islamic threat has receded from American public consciousness, with domestic woes and Ukraine’s conflict sucking up the media oxygen, it hasn’t receded as a world stage force. One place long bedeviled by it is Nigeria, where Boko Haram and other Muslim entities have long been waging war against Christians, native religious groups, and the government itself. Yet the situation is now so bad that the nation is “devolving toward chaos,” as one observer puts it, and the jihadists have made such headway that the Nigerian government has ordered schools in Abuja, the capital, closed and the students evacuated.

Oil rich and, with its 218 million people, Africa’s most populous country and the planet’s sixth most, Nigeria would be quite the prize for any caliphatist. Christian persecution is the norm there now, too, with this site indicating that more than 100,000 of Jesus’s followers have been murdered by jihadists in the last 22 years.

  • Report: Chinese Tech in U.S. Could Disrupt Our Nuclear Missiles — and More

    Nuclear BlastBy Selwyn Duke

The MAD principle, “Mutually Assured Destruction,” has kept us safe from nuclear attack for more than 70 years. But imagine that China, or Beijing allied with Moscow, launched ICBMs at the United States and we couldn’t respond in kind — and China and Russia knew it. How much disincentive would these nations have against launching a nuclear first strike?

This terrifying prospect could become a reality according to U.S. intelligence officials, as Chinese communications equipment in America could be a technological Trojan horse.

  • DANGER ZONE: More Countries Enter the “Great Reset” Road to Famine

    Chained RefrigeratorBy Selwyn Duke

It’s a simple fact that we can’t support 330 million Americans and eight billion people worldwide without modern food production methods. It’s also factual that highly efficient, hi-tech farming, enabling us to produce more food on less land, is a major reason why there’s more forested area in America today than a century ago. Following from this is that millions will starve, and struggling for survival will ravage the environment in the process, if we scuttle these modern food-production methods. Tragically, this scuttling is well underway, too — and the latest nation to mount the bandwagon to skin and bones is Ireland.

  • Prozac to Pathogens: About Drugs, Big Science Lied — and Americans Died

    Lab BeakersBy Selwyn Duke

"Retraction of biomedical and life science research papers for fraud or misconduct is more widespread than previously thought and is roughly 10-fold more common today than in 1975.” So wrote the BMJ (formerly the British Medical Journal) in 2012. Now, 10 years later, some new reports indicate that the state of “science” has, if anything, only worsened. And today’s Exhibit A is how “Big Science” has….

  • The Open Lust Kamala Wants in Your Kid’s Classroom

    Sex Symbols-ConfusionBy Selwyn Duke

A notable feature of the so-called Sexual Revolution of the ’60s, which really was just a continuing sexual devolution, is that what had theretofore been in the closet began emerging from it. This was marketed as liberation from “Puritanism,” and those opposing it were demeaned as “repressed.”

This movement continued metastasizing to the point where, now, many sexual devolutionaries consider even the common-sense request to keep carnal matters out of the classroom not just repression, but oppression. A case in point is a recent Kamala Harris statement about how kindergarten to third grade educators should “be able to love openly and teach what they believe is important for people to understand.”

    Harris made her comments….

  • Blame Hollywood, Not Firearms Manufacturers, for Gun Violence

    Ar15By Selwyn Duke

Question: If we’re going to assign indirect blame, who is more responsible for a kid who kills somebody drag racing? The company that made the car?

Or a person who legitimized and glamorized street drag racing in the kid’s eyes?

While many leftists want firearms manufacturers sued into oblivion, a similar question to the above is increasingly being asked regarding youths committing violence with guns, as was the case in Uvalde, Texas. Last month, liberal comedian-cum-commentator Bill Maher editorialized against, as he put it, Hollywood’s “unbridled romanticization of gun violence.” Now Tim Winter, president of the Parents Television and Media Council (PTC), has weighed in, noting that Hollywood “has been allowed to depict gun violence for too long, glamorizing it for countless viewers, particularly teenagers and children.”
