If recently released polling data are any indication, there certainly is one issue on which Americans have moved “right” in recent years: the spread of MUSS (Made-up Sexual Status, aka “transgender”) ideology into schools and the wider society. In fact, more people oppose this agenda now than did five years ago.
At the same time, most Americans also oppose “discrimination” against MUSS individuals. But does this “tolerance” ultimately guarantee the spread of what they find intolerable?

Dick’s Sporting Goods will pay up to $4,000 toward the “travel expenses” of any employee who “needs” to go out of state to get an abortion. This company isn’t alone, either. More than 25 big businesses crafted such policies in the run-up to the June 24 Dobbs decision overturning Roe v. Wade.
Meanwhile, corporate America is also encouraging wide scale immigration and uses work visas to replace Americans with foreigners. And some say this is no coincidence.

In the wake of Roe being aborted, some liberal politicians, such as senators Joe Manchin (D-W.V.) and Susan Collins (R-Me.), are crying foul because they claim that SCOTUS justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch deceived them over stare decisis (respect for precedent) during confirmation hearings. What’s unsaid is that stare decisis is itself a deception. In fact, our Founders would be aghast at the standard. Why? It’s simple:
If a precedent clearly conforms to the Constitution, then regard for stare decisis is unnecessary for a precedent-aligned ruling; all a justice need do is reference the Constitution and he'll vote incidentally in accordance with the precedent.
If the precedent doesn't conform to the Constitution, it is then illegal and should be overturned, which a justice will vote to do if he, again, references the Constitution.

With Friday’s historic overturning of Roe v Wade, leftists are again vacillating between claiming that constitutional rights are being eroded and averring that the Constitution should be irrelevant. One writer doing the latter is The Root’s Candace McDuffie, with a Sunday title reading “The Constitution Was Literally Written By Slaveowners. Why Is America Obsessed With Upholding It?”
Aside from observing that leftists have an odd affinity for the word “literally,” one could note that the writer’s question equates to asking: Why is America obsessed with upholding the law? For the Constitution is the supreme law of our land.
McDuffie’s commentary might not warrant mention had Microsoft Network not chosen to post her article to its homepage. This reflects a serious problem liberal psychologist Robert Epstein warned of in recent years: By controlling the flow of information, Big Tech can, uh, literally(!) shift 15 million votes toward a candidate and thus choose our leaders.

For the record, I believe Fox News host Tucker Carlson is by far the best high-profile TV commentator of our time. I frequently cite him in my news-oriented articles, and his monologues are tours de force. Thus is it notable that I’ve never seen him stumble so badly as on his last Wednesday evening show.
Aside from taking at face value a rather portly Google engineer’s claim that a computer he’d been working with, which he calls a “person,” has become sentient (highly improbable at this time), Carlson launched an attack on the Republican Party that, while containing some truth, failed to see the forest for the trees.

“I’ll go through you to get the child!”? This could perhaps be the message being sent, with more than 20 pro-life pregnancy centers having been fire-bombed or vandalized and more than a dozen churches having been targeted since the May leaking of the Supreme Court draft Roe v. Wade decision. Now, with the official ruling striking Roe down having been issued Friday, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has warned churches to prepare for “extreme violence” as left-wing radicals have planned a “Night of Rage.”
Such threats haven’t exactly seemed a priority to the authorities, however. In May, Alice-in-Wonderland-style, the DHS issued a memo warning against “far-right” violence against abortion clinics; meanwhile, the government sat on its hands while the churches were targeted and ne’er-do-wells, in apparent violation of the law, protested in front of SCOTUS judges’ homes.
