• Why Roe v. Wade Was Always Un-American

Boot on Declaration of IndependenceBy Selwyn Duke

With the just-issued Supreme Court ruling overturning the Roe v. Wade decision, abortion supporters are exercised and pro-lifers exultant. Yet there’s a reality around which many from both sides could, conceivably, unite. It concerns something anyone who’s truly American should cheer:

Friday’s 5-4 decision, Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, strikes a blow not just for those who could be born, but for what was born 235 years ago — the Constitution.

For the truth is that wherever one stands on abortion, standing behind the Constitution and not on it can quite reasonably be said to be a prerequisite for Americanism. And supporting the Constitution means trampling Roe.

This is not opinion, but a fact even abortion proponents have emphasized.

  • When a Conservative is Asked ‘What is a Woman?’

    Confusion-Traffic SignsBy Selwyn Duke

A common way to put Made-up Sexual Status (MUSS, aka “transgender”) activists on the spot is to ask them “What is a woman?” They’ll hem and haw because their current emotion-based creed dictates that the only possible definition is “anyone who identifies as a woman.” Some sexual devolutionaries, however, may come back with what a YouTube commenter under a very clever, topic-related Babylon Bee video claimed. “Let's be real, conservatives do not have a tenable definition of woman,” he stated. “[C]onservatives don't talk about their definition of woman — they know it's not good enough.” Okay, then, challenge accepted. I’ll talk about it:

A woman is an adult member of the species homo sapiens; this means in principle that she has an XX chromosome configuration and is, consequently, genotypically and phenotypically female.

Yes, that’s a mouthful, because it’s precise. But the sexual devolutionaries would no doubt interject here, saying, “No, no! Some ‘women’ are not genotypically XX or wholly phenotypically [appearance-wise] female.”

  • Woke Science: Lamenting Animal Inequality is Now a Thing

    Rams Locking HornsBy Selwyn Duke

Are Mac ’n‘ Tosh too painfully posh? Is your hamster hoarding what should be redistributed? Does a polar bear have white privilege? While such questions, per se, aren’t being asked, they do epitomize a new phenomenon:

What Charles Darwin called “survival of the fittest” scholars and media are increasingly chalking up to “animal privilege” — and they’re couching the matter in “economic and sociological terms such as inequality and intergenerational wealth,” as the College Fix puts it.

Relating that science is now quite broken, the Fix continues, “‘Squirrel privilege is real.’ ‘Checking Privilege in the Animal Kingdom.’ ‘Even Hermit Crabs Have Wealth Inequality.’”

No, you haven’t landed at the Babylon Bee. Rather, “These headlines hail from Salon and The New York Times, respectively, and represent a growing trend among scholars and the media to tackle animal ‘inequality’ — and also argue humans can learn important lessons about income inequality and privilege from such studies”….

  • A Teen Schools Professor on Why White Boys Are Becoming “Alt-right” (aka Redpilled?)

    Unhappy StudentBy Selwyn Duke

In 2020, voters aged 18 to 29 supported Joe Biden over President Trump by a wide margin, 61 percent to 36 percent. Yet there was one outlier subset among this group: young white men.

    They supported Trump.

Striking this is when considering that other subsets, including young white women, backed Biden by robust margins ranging from, percentage-wise, 86-10 to 55-42. Adding yet more perspective, in 2020, news site Insider quoted an expert as saying that young white men and women were really “far apart” in voting — about 20 percentage points.

“Women and men of color are not showing that kind of departure from each other,” the expert added. So what’s going on?

  • SECESSION! Texas GOP Is Talking About it. Is it Legal?

    Donkey-ElephantBy Selwyn Duke

These United States rose above colony status by, essentially, seceding from Britain. Texas became one of these United States a decade after seceding from Mexico. Now Texas State Republican Convention members are talking again about the possibility of seceding — from the United States.

Critics, of course, say secession would be illegal. The Texas Tribune, for example, writes in a subtitle that the “Civil War established that a state cannot secede.” But do wars establish anything from a legitimately legal standpoint? Only if you believe that “might makes right.”

As to the Texas GOP’s action, its “State Republican Convention adopted a platform urging the Legislature to put a referendum before the people of Texas in November 2023 ‘to determine whether or not the State of Texas should reassert its status as an independent nation,’” the Tribune reports. The Texas paper is clear about its position on this, too: “No, Texas can’t legally secede from the U.S., despite popular myth,” its title reads.

In thus contending, these critics generally cite things such as a legal case following the War between the States. To wit: “In 1868's Texas v. White decision, the Court said leaving the Union can happen only through one of two ways: ‘revolution’ or ‘consent of the States,’” as Newsweek relates.

Of course, courts don’t make law anymore than wars do — they render opinion.

  • Babylon Bee: “Science Tests Positive For COVID”

WORLD—The world is in disbelief today upon hearing the news that Dr. Fauci, also known as the living embodiment of SCIENCE itself, has come down with COVID.

"How could this happen? What if SCIENCE dies? We'll be lost! LOST WITHOUT SCIENCE!" cried Brian Stelter on CNN. "What does this mean? Is Fauci—blessings upon him—merely a human? I don't know what's true anymore!" Brian then curled up on the couch to have a good cry and watch A Christmas Kiss 2 on the Hallmark Channel.

  • Babylon Bee Video: “Spelling Bee Contestant Asks the Definition of ‘Woman’”

This is really, really clever. It's no wonder leftists hate the Babylon Bee. They couldn't be that funny if they ate one serving of fish and doubled their IQs.

  • Drag Queen Comes Clean: Keep Kids AWAY From Drag Shows, He Says

    Sex Symbols-ConfusionBy Selwyn Duke

Boy, does this drag queen have a story — and not an hour, either. Billy, who goes by the name Kitty Demure when performing and is a self-professed “conservative drag queen,” has a warning for the world:

Keep your kids away from drag events.

They’re akin to having, he says, “a stripper or a porn star influence your children.”

To be clear, the drag queen phenomenon is not healthy, either for those involved or a wider society that rubber stamps it. This may be more obvious now to some with efforts made to indoctrinate children through “Drag Queen Story Hours,” events that are sometimes taxpayer funded. And the characteristic brokenness of drag queens themselves is evidenced by their apparent zeal for inuring innocent children to their deviance.

Yet this is why it’s noteworthy that Bill, a member of the #WalkAway movement, has inveighed against this phenomenon.

  • Why Bill Maher Can’t Kick His Democrat Party Addiction

    DonkeyBy Selwyn Duke

Comedian-cum-commentator Bill Maher has of late been making some new friends and enemies and raising many an eyebrow. At issue are his Real Time monologues in which he has taken his “side,” the Left, to task for “woke” insanity ranging from canceling people over innocent quips to convincing children they can be the opposite sex to whiny “millennial” entitlement. It reminds many of the #WalkAway movement and of billionaire industrialist Elon Musk’s recent resolution to vote Republican. Nonetheless, Maher never actually becomes “red pilled”; one way or another, he makes clear he’s firmly on the Democrat plantation. There’s a good reason for this, too — a psychological reason.
