A new study finds that a record number of Americans say “moral values” in the United States are “poor” and getting worse. The study makes clear as well, however, that Americans also don’t agree on what constitutes “moral values” and generally don’t know what “morality” is.

“I remember having sex with friends @ a young age; showers w/ my dad (probably not appropriate).” So wrote Joe Biden’s youngest daughter, Ashley, in her diary in a January 2019 entry, outlining how she believes she was sexualized during her tender years. The explosive revelation, published Thursday by British paper Daily Mail, explains why the FBI raided two journalists’ homes shock-and-awe style in an effort to recover the diary — even though such a task isn’t the bureau’s legitimate domain and despite Ashley’s representatives’ refusal to acknowledge the book was hers.
The information also aligns with behavior Joe Biden has exhibited — inappropriately touching young girls on camera — and charges leveled against him, which include an allegation of penetrative sexual assault.

Golf may be a “good walk spoiled,” as the apocryphal quip goes (so I use a cart), but not when you’re getting $200 million for the stroll. That’s precisely the amount of money golfer Phil Mickelson is reportedly being paid, mind you, to participate in the LIV Golf Invitational Series. A Saudi-backed venture, LIV’s big-oil-money seduction of some of the sport’s marquee names has made golf conversation a good talk spoiled, sparking an intra-game civil war.
Mickelson, 51, is joined on the LIV by former number one players Dustin Johnson, who reportedly landed $125 million; and Greg Norman, who at 67 is commanding $50 million to be the tour’s CEO; along with a number of lesser lights, many in the twilight of their careers.

Is rich people’s greentopian fantasy causing middle-class misery? The answer is yes, according to analysts such as Marlo Oaks, Utah state treasurer and longtime investment manager. In fact, Oaks says he knows a major reason why increasing fuel prices, which drive up costs across the board, are so high:
Supply is being choked off by “woke” capital investors who favor green dreams over fossil fuel practicality.
Making his case, the Utah official states that in 2015 there were 59 funds globally among institutional investors that raised 46.6 billion dollars for oil and gas projects. Yet note what happened during the next six years:
By 2021, there were only 11 funds and 4.6 billion dollars raised — a drop of more than 90 percent.

First there was the Taliban blowing up Buddhist statues. Now staff at a liberal camp have blown up 900 kids’ summer experience — quitting just six days prior to first-session commencement — because, in part, they were upset about pre-Nazi-era Buddhist swastika designs that adorned a camp building.
The resignations prompted Hidden Villa, in Los Altos Hills, California, to abruptly cancel all its summer camps, a move that will affect 28 seasonal staff in addition to the disappointed children.

Word is that the Senate has the necessary votes for federal gun control legislation designed to, among other things, pressure states into instituting “red flag” laws. These measures are controversial because they involve suspending a person’s rights (i.e., seizing his weapons) without due process. Wherever you stand on them and federal firearms laws in principle, however, a simple fact is under-emphasized in this debate: Laws mean little if not enforced.
What’s more, they’re actually instruments of evil if only enforced to the degree where good people will comply.

Actor Matthew McConaughey has become a powerful voice for gun control in the wake of the horrid school shooting in his birth city of Uvalde, Texas. In response, some conservatives have essentially accused him of hypocrisy because, as the argument goes, he glorifies firearm violence in movies. In response to this, some commentators have scoffed, with one calling the criticism “irrational.”
Yet now none other than liberal actor, comedian, and commentator Bill Maher has struck this allegedly irrational note. While not naming or focusing on McConaughey, the Real Time host lambasted Hollywood for the woke hypocrisy of getting “on the politically correct side of every issue” — except “gun violence.” What’s more, there is good but mostly ignored research indicating that, yes, violence in fantasy does help breed it in reality.
