“There’s no one as illiberal as a liberal.” This saying could come to mind with one of the latest cancel cultist campaigns: getting Marvel Studios to replace actor Chris Pratt over views on homosexuality.

But not Pratt’s own views. The performer has never publicly expressed his positions on sexuality, period. The issue is that he attends a church that, its pastor once told The New York Times, patterned itself after a different church whose major figures have expressed disapproval of homosexual behavior, according to DeseretNews.

Put differently, he knows a church that knew a church that the sexual devolutionaries wish was unknown.

That is, if Deseret is correct. NBC claims that Pratt attends that patterned-after institution, Hillsong Church in Australia, though NBC isn’t exactly known for reportage rectitude (see George Zimmerman et al.).

Regardless, the message is clear: Even a tangential association with Judeo-Christian tenets that have been held for thousands of years — and which are dogma in many churches today (e.g., Catholicism) — and which reflect the beliefs of billions of people worldwide, is supposed to disqualify you from success and polite society, according to the wokesters.

How this gels with liberals’ longtime appeals for “tolerance” was not reported.

In the greatest loss of materiel in history, the Biden administration left $83 billion worth of military equipment in Afghanistan during the disastrous 2021 American withdrawal from that nation. Now, with billions in weaponry being sent to Ukraine, there’s a related concern:

How much of this hardware will be destroyed upon arrival by the Russians or, even, land in their hands?

That we don’t really know where the weapons will end up has already been admitted by Washington. As CNN reported last week, “The US has few ways to track the substantial supply of anti-tank, anti-aircraft and other weaponry it has sent across the border into Ukraine, sources tell CNN.”

Military expert Colonel Douglas Macgregor (Ret.), a former senior advisor to the secretary of defense, was even more definitive.

It’s “just devastating to, especially from a young age, to be lied to by adults at school and by medical professionals and told that your body is wrong, you need to change it, you need to get hormones, you need to get surgeries….” So said Helena Kerschner, 23, who lived several years taking cross-sex hormones and claiming to be male. Yet she was fortunate, Kerschner states, because she emerged from her delusion medically “unscathed.”

Not so lucky was Nathaniel (last name withheld), who had “bottom surgery” a month after his 18^th birthday. Regretting the decision less than a year later, he called the operation a “Frankenstein hack job” that caused him to reflect. “I had turned myself into a plastic-surgery facsimile of a woman, but I knew I still wasn’t one,” he lamented in 2019. “I feel as though I have ruined my life.”

Unfortunately, instead of heeding the object-lesson warnings Nathaniel and other such teens issue, the Biden administration has decided to roll out a MUSS (Made-up Sexual Status, aka “transgender”) policy that endorses the life-rending interventions in question. This is even as more liberal countries, such as Sweden, France, and Norway, are abandoning MUSS meddling, having recognized its folly.

Thus warned Suzy Weiss, sister of former New York Post reporter Bari Weiss, in a Substack article last week titled “The Testosterone Hangover.” In it, she chronicles the woes of MUSS teens who underwent so-called “gender affirming care,” but, as with Kerschner and Nathaniel, later regretted the malpractice visited upon them. Weiss contends that these youths simply needed “a little time to grow up,” and, in fact, science bears this out:

Data show that insofar as sexually confused adolescents go, upwards of 80 percent of girls and more than 90 percent of boys will outgrow their “gender dysphoria” — if left alone.

Weiss opened her piece with the story of a girl who wasn’t left alone, Chloe; in fact, the teen was given puberty blockers and testosterone and had a double mastectomy at 15.

It’s a simple concept: As the numbers of low-skilled workers increase relative to the number of jobs available to them, their value decreases in the market. This is welcomed by and great for big business, which can then hire employees at lower cost. But it’s not so good for the low-skilled, as finding jobs becomes more difficult and their wages will be lower.

This also means, however, that this phenomenon is not so good for another group: American blacks — as they constitute a disproportionate percentage of low-skilled workers.

If women’s estrogen levels were declining by one percent yearly and now were 30 percent lower than a few decades ago, it would be a major story. Yet while a corresponding phenomenon is manifesting itself with men and testosterone, the media aren’t just ignoring it — they’re treating it as a joke.

In fact, they’re mocking commentator Tucker Carlson for creating a docuseries on the matter.

Meanwhile, the vile and racist videos of criminal Frank James, who wounded at least 29 people in the high-profile April 12 subway shooting, weren’t even flagged by Big Tech.

Just recently, a man placed in a women’s prison because he “identified” as female impregnated two inmates. That happened in New Jersey. But nearer to the old Jersey, in Britain, men claiming womanhood now have yet another opportunity:

If they’re police officers, they’ll be allowed to strip search female suspects — and anyone objecting may be accused of a “hate crime.”

America’s fractiousness, says pundit Leonard Pitts, is the pits. We’ve lost “the willingness and ability to share a common national identity,” he complains — as a result of Republicans’ “pursuit of power.”

In an article penned last week, Tribune columnist Pitts opened citing how actor Sean Penn, who’d been in Ukraine when Russia invaded, mentioned that we Americans lack the unity he experienced in that besieged nation. Pitts points out, however, that just as in the United States after 9/11, witnessed in Ukraine is “the predictable byproduct of an immediate existential threat.”
