• Global Warmist Buzzkill: Arctic Ice Is Poised to be Its THICKEST in a Generation

    Ice AgeBy Selwyn Duke

The “Arctic is screaming,” a U.S. government warming-alarmist scientist famously stated in 2010. It turns out this may be true, but what it’s saying is, “I’m freezing!”

In fact, in yet another refutation of the man-caused global-warming (AGW) narrative — and contrary to alarmist predictions — Arctic ice is poised to be its thickest in a generation.

It was in 1975 that Newsweek, reflecting contemporary reportage, ran the story “The Cooling World.” As a young child at the time, I remember the coming-ice-age warnings and, frankly, they were scary. Sure, I loved sledding and snowball fights, but the prospect of living on Snowball Earth wasn’t too appealing.

But sometime later the climate diviners transitioned to doomsayer predictions about global warming.

  • Mis(Thanks)givings: Mourning in America to the Holiday Haters

    Angel vs. DemonBy Selwyn Duke

How did you enjoy your Thursday mourning? No, that’s not a typo, but exactly how some people today characterize our Thanksgiving observance.

At a website called Common Dreams, one Krissy Stroop, a real party poop, wrote on Thanksgiving Day itself that in “a period of rising nationalism, teaching American schoolchildren to play parts in an imperialist and whitewashed pageantry is deeply troubling”; she further complained that the holiday “is also inescapably associated with capitalism.” Even more blunt is the title “THANKSGIVING: A Day of Mourning,” found at AmericanIndianSource.com and penned by a man called Roy Cook (one would think his name should be Talking Bull). It’s all part of a larger effort by woke-wet-blanket holiday haters to effect a “Year Zero” erasure of American observances and Holy Days.

Now, never mind that all this is a bit like waiting for a special day honoring an octogenarian’s lifetime devotion to a certain field to give a speech about how crummy he is. The timing itself could be considered a hostile act; in fairness, though, the occasion of events does inspire talk about them. If only these wet blankets knew what they were talking about.

  • Happy Thanksgiving!

TurkeyI wish you a very happy Thanksgiving. And a thought for the day:

G.K. Chesterton observed, "Thanks are the highest form of thought." This should place Thanksgiving, if we celebrate it rightly, among the highest form of events.

    God bless,

  • Leftist Group Issues its Number 666 and Finds There’s Hell to Pay

    Angry BusinesswomanBy Selwyn Duke

If a Christian group launched a fund-raising appeal and caught hell from its members after announcing that its average donation was $6.66, the leftist mockery would be intense. But it turns out that the Women’s March has its own “number of the devil” (though its Beelzebubs are relative and subject to change without notice). It learned this after trying desperately to raise money and informing that you don’t have to give much but that, as a guide, their average donation is currently $14.92.

If you don’t see the problem, you’re normal (though maybe not attuned to our societal devolution). But instead of saying “The average gift is fourteen dollars, 92 cents,” say “The average gift is fourteen-ninety-two” and the issue may become clear.

Yes, in 1492, Columbus assailed the land of the Sioux (sort of) — in the leftist way of “thinking.”

Apparently, this triggered the Women’s March donor base, prompting a satire-worthy but serious tweeted apology.

  • Waukesha Massacre, Courtesy of Your Friendly Neighborhood Democrats

    Banana RepublicBy Selwyn Duke

What do you do with someone who has a rap sheet going back more than a generation, listing crimes such as drug possession, sex offenses, strangulation and suffocation, illegal firearm possession, resisting arrest, battery, and beating up and then running over the mother of one of his children?

If you say, release the person on a $1,000 bond to continue his predation, congratulations — you qualify to be Milwaukee County district attorney.

For this is precisely what the actual Milwaukee County district attorney, John Chisholm, did via his policies with respect to Darrell Brooks. Brooks is the man who drove his SUV into Waukesha, Wisconsin’s Christmas parade on Sunday, killing six people and injuring more than 60.

It was just last week that Brooks was arrested for using a vehicle to run down his baby momma….

  • Not Just Kyle: MANY Armed Men Protected Kenosha Last August — and They Had an OBLIGATION To

    Ar15By Selwyn Duke

Lost in the propaganda surrounding Kyle Rittenhouse is something that would’ve put his August 25, 2020 actions in greater perspective:

Contrary to what mainstream media would have us believe, the teen wasn’t a lone wolf “vigilante” who took the unheard of measure of arming himself in the midst of Kenosha “protesters.” Rather, he was one of “countless men standing with baseball bats, handguns, semi-automatic rifles, and shotguns in front of their businesses and homes"….

  • Systemic Child Abuse: Giving Kids the Needle of Death

    Bad DoctorBy Selwyn Duke

“Do it for the children.” Oh, how many times have we heard this appeal over the years uttered in service of suspect causes? But what the leftists who wore out that line are now doing for the children — or to the children, to be precise — is perhaps the latest example of an underappreciated phenomenon: systemic child abuse.

We hear much about “systemic racism.” Social-sphere robber barons (e.g., Attorney General Merrick Garland’s son-in-law) make millions peddling Critical Race Theory to schools, and demagogues use “systemic racism” to leverage political power. Yet systemic child abuse has a quality systemic racism doesn’t:

    It’s actually real.

It takes many forms, too: telling children they can become the opposite sex, exposing them to lewd material, forcing health-damaging masks on them, targeting them with racial propaganda, and killing unborn babies and then using their body parts for experimentation. Perhaps the most recent form is another type of experimentation: compelling children to take COVID-19 genetic-therapy agents (GTAs, aka “vaccines”) to “protect” against a disease imperiling them not a whit.

This is no exaggeration. The GTA push has assumed the character of a (false) religious cause, with Branch COVIDian pseudo-elites forging on ahead with mass “vaccination” plans in defiance of all reason.

  • Unsaid: Joseph Rosenbaum Might Have Committed Suicide-by-Rittenhouse

    Angel vs. DemonBy Selwyn Duke

Why would you chase and lunge at, or otherwise attack, a young man who’s carrying a semi-automatic rifle? This is what happened last August 25th in the Kyle Rittenhouse affair, and it’s crazy behavior. Yet with respect to at least one of the three men shot in self-defense by Rittenhouse, Joseph Rosenbaum, there may be a logical explanation for such craziness:

Rosenbaum really was, clinically speaking, crazy.

We’ve heard much about the criminal records of the three Rittenhouse assailants’ who were shot (and a bit about the checkered past of the fourth attacker, who wasn’t shot), and rightly so. But underemphasized in Rosenbaum’s case is that he actually was what we today call “mentally ill,” having been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Why is this relevant? It not only helps explain his irrational behavior, but there’s also this:

It’s not unusual for mentally ill people to attempt suicide — and to sometimes conscript others into their self-destructive endeavors.

  • Archbishop Viganò Calls on People of Faith to Unite in a “WORLD WAR” Against the “New World Order”

    Angel vs. DemonBy Selwyn Duke

Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, the Italian prelate well known for his criticism of Pope Francis and opposition to globalist schemes, issued Tuesday a dire warning and a powerful clarion call:

A “global coup d’état” is taking place, he stated, for the purposes of effecting a “Great Reset,” a movement toward the “New World Order.”

To combat this, Viganò implored, it “is necessary to form an international Anti-Globalist Alliance, which gathers all those who want to oppose the dictatorship, who have no intention of becoming slaves to a faceless power, who are not willing to cancel their own identity, their own individuality, their own religious faith.”

“If the attack is global,” he continued, “the defense must also be global.”

Viganò has long warned that COVID-19 is being leveraged by demagogues to increase their power and strip personal liberties, but his latest appeal is perhaps his most powerful yet.

  • Kyle Rittenhouse Did NOT Get a Fair Trial

    Judge pounding GavelBy Selwyn Duke

Many people, even some notable commentators, are hailing the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict as a triumph for American justice. In reality, though, the teen rightly prevailed, being found not guilty on all five charges brought against him.

But he did not get a fair trial.
