Will we one day view masking children as akin to giving them, as was once done, radium candy? It increasingly seems so, and now yet another study has found that putting kids in masks to prevent COVID-19 is not only unnecessary, but highly dangerous to their health.

Mask wearing to prevent SARS-CoV-2 contraction is an article of COVID Ritual faith among many and is still encouraged, if not mandated, by “health” authorities far and wide. This is despite indications that masks can become as pathogen-laden Petri dishes on people’s faces, that they can restrict oxygen intake, and that wearers may be inhaling unhealthful plastic microparticles from them. Now we hear about serious research out of Germany and Poland on one of these perils: dangerously high mask-induced carbon dioxide levels in children.

The Bloods gang member had only shot someone and has a rap sheet of 25 arrests, including for attempted murder, assault, burglary, weapons possession, and drug charges. But the truly intolerable crime, according to Federal Judge Analisa Torres, is that the grand jury indicting him for shooting a man twice wasn’t diverse enough. So she dismissed the case against him.

You could say that many of our elections now, particularly in places such as New York City, are reminiscent of the Third World.

Except that would be an insult to the Third World.

In poor Brazil, after all, where many people suffer greater privation than our vagrants do, the latest election’s results were known in four hours. They just counted the votes — simple addition.

In NYC’s current mayoral race, it’s complete attrition. They count the votes, and count and count and count and count with the Big Apple’s new ranked-choice voting system until — when? When they powers-that-be get the result they want?

First, to question our elections was the “denigrating” of our “democracy,” said Hillary Clinton in a 2016 debate with Donald Trump. Immediately after losing that year’s presidential contest, Clinton & Co. commenced the denigration, proclaiming, “Russia stole the election”! Then, denigration fell out of style again when Joe Biden was elevated to the presidency and questioning his “victory” made you complicit in the Insurrection that Wasn’t.

But now, that 135,000 test votes were accidentally counted in the New York City mayoral race, it’s Denigration 2.0. In fact, rich left-wing mayoral candidate Maya Wiley asserted that the error was “not just failure to count votes properly today,” but “the result of generations of failures that have gone unaddressed.”

So what’s the truth on our system? It’s plain: We have the safest, most efficient, most insecure, corrupt elections in the world — bar none.

It used to be that when people believed they were something they weren’t, they were called crazy. Now they may be called “brave” and by odd pronouns as those calling them what they are are called names. But perhaps just as crazy are people who cherry-pick which delusions shall be exalted.

A case in point is a British “social influencer” (a relatively new and tiresome designation that’s worthy of an article itself) named Oli London, though he takes exception to being called “British” because he now, after 18 operations, claims to be Korean — not just in terms of nationality, mind you, but racially. In fact, London, who now wants to go by the Korean name “Jimin,” also would no doubt take exception to being called “he” as he claims to be “non-binary” and insists his pronouns are “they/them.”

Once you’re 11 you can “have sex with somebody 2 years older or less.” If you’re 12, you can “have sex with somebody who is 3 years older or less.” So stated what was distributed to children at a Washington State government school: a Planned Parenthood flyer “explaining that, once kids are tweens, they’re pretty much on their own when it comes to sex,” as commentator Andrea Widburg put it Saturday.

The scene of the crime was Stewart Middle School in Tacoma.

You can bet that when violent Antifa and Black Lives Matter rioters are brought to trial, a quite rare occurrence, they won’t be asked to renounce their beliefs in exchange for leniency. But not so for the first January 6 trespasser to be sentenced, even though she’s a grandmother guilty only of entering the Capitol and peacefully strolling about for a few minutes. So much for equality under the law.

It has long been common that authorities won’t identify a criminal’s race unless he happens to be white, ostensibly in the thinking that they don’t want criminality associated with minority status. But recently, in Portland, Oregon, police had another reason to identify a subject as white:

They wanted to convince Antifa to halt protests the latter had initiated.

Apparently, it was “Nothing to see here, move along — we only shot a white guy.”

There’s much talk about “white privilege” today, and it’s becoming ever clearer what it really means: being last in line or excluded for benefits but perhaps alone in line paying bills.

The latest example is a Seattle black “gay pride” event whose organizers said they would charge whites a “reparations fee” of up to $50 to attend.

(What a bargain! If I didn’t have something better to do, like sticking needles in my eyes, I’d go and bring three friends.)
