• Trump Lawyer Tells Media Truth; Media Throws Dishonest Tantrum

    Donkey-ElephantBy Selwyn Duke

He ripped off his microphone, but not before he ripped the mask off his media interviewer. President Trump defense attorney Michael van der Veen made news Saturday by doing something shocking, something rare, something his client often did: He told the media the truth — about the media.

The media’s response was to propagandize. Much as they do to Trump himself, they misrepresented van der Veen’s appearance. In headlines they accused him of having a “whiny tone,” putting on a “silly voice,” of “mansplaining,” and of flipping out.

  • College Advocates the “Demilitarization of White Bodies” to Make Them More “Human”

    Prejudice SignBy Selwyn Duke

If you can’t dazzle ‘em with brilliance, baffle ‘em with balderdash, I guess. This could come to mind when pondering an effort at the “demilitarization of white bodies,” as Middlebury College in Vermont puts it.

  • No Libs Allowed: Patriotic Ammo Company Will NOT Sell to Biden Voters

    Ar15By Selwyn Duke

It’s another good example of why the Left doesn’t like small businesses: Unlike corporate America, some of them still embrace patriotism and our Constitution. A good example is Michigan’s Fenix Ammunition, which has adopted a newsworthy policy:

It will not sell any of its products to Joe Biden voters.

Unlike duplicitous Big Tech, Fenix isn’t hiding its preferential policies, either. In fact, upon logging on to its site you’re greeted with a page featuring only one question: “Did you vote for Joe Biden?” Clicking “No” brings you to Fenix’s main page.

Clicking “Yes” forwards you directly to the Biden/Harris page on the administration’s plans to undermine Second Amendment rights.

Bluntly explaining its policy’s rationale in its “Frequently Asked Questions” section, Fenix answers the query, “Are you really discriminating against people who voted for Joe Biden?” thus

  • The Foiled Impeachment Senators: Sparking Violence for Me, Forced Silence for Thee. Oh, the Hypocrisy!

    Banana RepublicBy Selwyn Duke

“The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep, and miles to go before I sleep.” Upon hearing these Robert Frost lines in the film Telefon, sleeper agents would be triggered to mindlessly attack government entities. Unfortunately for the Democrats who beclowned the country trying to impeach President Trump for exercising his First Amendment rights, nothing so stylishly ominous ever passed his lips.

(Note: Trump was acquitted today when only 57 senators voted to convict, well short of the two-thirds majority needed.)

Oh, Trump did use the word “fight” numerous times prior to the Capitol mayhem, points out our Leftocracy. Well, I guess he should be shot.

Of course I don’t mean that. But that’s the point: We all use figurative language at times, including combat-oriented terminology and that which could be called, by an alien oblivious to our cultural norms, “violent.” But if that’s legally actionable, arrest every teen who’s ever told a sibling jokingly, “I’m gonna’ kill you!”

More to the point, we’ll have to arrest every Democrat, too. And Trump impeachment defense lawyer David Shoen made this point very effectively Friday, showing the Senate a video of Democrats not only copiously using the word “fight,” but in some instances actually encouraging violence.

  • Illegals Can Flood Into America as Biden Mulls Travel Ban on AMERICAN Citizens

Boot on Declaration of IndependenceBy Selwyn Duke

Immigrationists love to say “Nobody is illegal.” Perhaps not, in spirit, because illegals are apparently preferred now. The latest example is that while illegal aliens are being released into our country’s interior without COVID tests — necessary for people legally entering these United States via airplane — the Biden administration is considering placing travel restriction on certain states, including Florida.

The rationale (pretext?) behind it is that the COVID-19 variant B.1.1.7 is more prevalent in some states, Florida among them. The real reason, say some observers, is that the Sunshine State is bucking leftists’ agenda and inspiring their envy.

  • Professor Is “Struggling With His Christian Faith” Because of “Trump” (but Gives Islam a Pass)

Back to School DuncecapBy Selwyn Duke

At least he’s not a theology professor, though it wouldn’t be surprising if he were. Issac Bailey, a columnist and public policy professor at Davidson College in North Carolina, says he’s struggling with his Christian faith — because of you.

Well, that is, if you happen to be a Christian Trump supporter (as many of my readers are).

“I’m struggling to hold fast to my Christianity — because of Donald Trump,” Bailey wrote Monday at Newsweek. “Not exactly Trump himself, though, but the undying support of the self-professed Christian pro-life movement that he enjoyed. My faith is in tatters because of that alliance. And I am constantly wondering if I am indirectly complicit because I dedicated my life to the same Jesus the insurrectionists prayed to in the Capitol building after ransacking it and promising to kill those who didn’t do their bidding.”

  • Media Incompetence: Andrea Mitchell’s “Correction” of Ted Cruz Blows Up in Her Face

Back to School DuncecapBy Selwyn Duke

“Although it is not true that all Conservatives are stupid people, it is true that most stupid people are Conservative.” Expressed by liberal John Stuart Mill, this sentiment has become a left-wing article of faith (though Mill would be shocked by today’s liberalism). Thus is it perhaps not surprising that NBC’s Andrea Mitchell jumped the gun Wednesday trying to shame the quite erudite Senator Ted Cruz (D-Texas) as an ignoramus — and ended up with egg on her face. Unfortunately, Mitchell’s error well reflects a wider problem with the mainstream media.

At issue was criticism of the impeachment trial leveled by Cruz yesterday.

  • WHO? It’s a Con, Says WHO Adviser: WHO COVID Probe Was Conducted by CHINESE

    Shell GameBy Selwyn Duke

After first being panned as a conspiracy theory before gaining even some mainstream-media acceptance, the claim that the coronavirus originated in a Wuhan lab was recently “debunked” by a World Health Organization (WHO) investigation. That was the story, anyway. But a WHO advisor asserts that it’s a lie.

  • A Civil War Is Raging in France — Over “American” Woke Identity Politics

    Angel vs. DemonBy Selwyn Duke

They’re American imports, say many Frenchmen, ones causing lots of trouble. They want them gone, too. And this spirit has in France sparked a perhaps stronger pushback against the threats in question — toxic left-wing theories of supposedly Yankee pedigree — than in any other Western country.
