• Kidnapping Reality: Gov. Whitmer Owes an Apology for Slandering Conservatives

    Donkey-ElephantBy Selwyn Duke

Conservatives must be an awfully peaceable bunch if you have to fabricate stories to make them appear violent. Many may draw this conclusion, yet again, given how Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan and the rest of the Left have for weeks been claiming that the kidnapping plot against her was an example of Right-wing Extremism™. But this spin, already refuted via layman research, now has been revealed as false in official government documents.

  • Violence, Inc.: A Leftist Enterprise

    Burning VanBy Selwyn Duke

“But civilization, I really believe, is on the brink because if these forces come to full power, they’re going to be taking names and they’re not going to want a union of thought. They’re … not gonna be gracious about their victory,” said renowned history professor Victor Davis Hanson in a September interview. “They’re not going to want unity and healing. They’re gonna want to hunt out and eradicate their opponents,” he continued. “That’s what cultural revolutions always do. They’ll do it again.”

It’s a sign of the times, oh these desperate times, that even “sober, serious” commentators such as Hanson are speaking the way, let’s say, “less mainstream” figures such as this writer did some years ago. For something has become obvious: Less and less is the Left trying to convince you.

More and more, its minions have resolved to kill you, if necessary, as they embrace Mao’s sentiment, “Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun” — or a mail-in vote-fraud scheme, a cancel-culture cowing, rioting, or Big Tech manipulation.

This is not surprising. Of what, after all, can leftists convince you? Is there, even at this late date, a comprehensive, cohesive, and compelling Democratic platform on which to campaign? Can you think of much other than “Orange man bad!”?

  • Police to Raid Homes, Break up Christmas Dinner to Enforce Lockdown Rules; Riots Expected

    OppressionBy Selwyn Duke

It’s that time of the year: tinsel on trees, chestnuts roasting on an open fire, sleigh bells ringing — and the cops coming through the door and breaking up Christmas dinner.

No, this isn’t neo-fascist China, but Britain, where police chiefs warn that this can be the consequence if people violate lockdown rules this Yuletide season.

This notice comes on the heels of the South Wales Police breaking up a church service in Cardiff, a move that inspired a comparison with pseudo-communist China.

  • The “Open Letter to the Christians Who Don’t Plan to Vote for Trump”

    HandsClaspedinPrayerBy Selwyn Duke

America stands at a precipice. President Ronald Reagan once warned that freedom “is never more than one generation away from extinction” — but now we’re just one election away. Despite this, some Christians (and others) draw an equivalence between our two major presidential candidates; that is, those who aren’t actually voting for Joe Biden.

So lamented commentator David Kupelian Monday in his piece, “Open letter to Christians who don’t plan to vote for Trump.” Writing that we’re on the cusp of the most significant election since the War Between the States, Kupelian observes that it’s “hard to imagine a greater contrast between the two choices. As evangelist Franklin Graham puts it, these ‘two vastly different directions for the future of this country’ will affect not just today’s Americans, ‘but our children and our grandchildren’ as well.”

  • The End of Biden? Trump’s Black Approval Soars to Near 50% in Poll

    376550_blogBy Selwyn Duke

It has been called the “Rainbow Coalition,” and Democrats rely on it to win elections. One of its bulwarks has long been the black vote, of which Democrats often capture 90-plus percent. But this may change this election cycle if a recent Rasmussen poll is any guide, one showing that President Trump’s job approval has soared to a whopping 46 percent among black voters.

Oh, it’s not that black Americans voting Republican is unprecedented; it’s just unprecedented since the waning days of flapper fashion. And while no one believes Trump will capture the black vote the way Herbert Hoover did in 1932, even winning 20 percent of it likely would spell doom for Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

  • Flip-flop Fauci Strikes Again: Advocates a Mask Empire NATIONWIDE

    Shell GameBy Selwyn Duke

Dr. Anthony Fauci recommended against average Americans wearing masks earlier this year, during the COVID-19 pandemic’s peak, saying they weren’t that effective. He then changed his tune, essentially saying his initial counsel was insincere. Now Fauci not only thinks everyone should be wearing a mask, but that doing so should be imposed nationwide

  • Unseen and Unsaid: The MOST Telling Character Difference Between Trump and Biden

    Donkey-ElephantBy Selwyn Duke

Something occurred to me recently while watching a post-debate Frank Luntz focus group. Comprising undecided voters who liked neither Trump nor Biden, the participants nonetheless believed the president won the debate and most said they’d probably vote for him as “the lesser of two evils.” Their preference for him on policy overrode their higher estimation of Biden’s character.

If they were to read what follows, however, I think they might change that estimation. No, this won’t be about Burisma and the Ukraine and China and Russia and Hunter. It’s about something almost universally missed.

  • In a More Controlled Debate, Trump Won on Both Style and Substance

    Donkey-ElephantBy Selwyn Duke

President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden squared off Thursday night in Nashville, Tennessee, in the season’s final debate before the November 3 election. Operating under a rule in which a participant’s microphone was silenced while his opponent was being afforded two minutes for an answer, it was a more controlled affair than their September 29 meeting. Yet it shared with that event some moderator bias, and the night was perhaps more notable, to the discerning, for what “could not” be said than for what actually was.

  • Joe Biden’s Advocacy of Child Abuse: Childhood “Transgenderism” Victims Weigh In

    Sex Symbols-ConfusionBy Selwyn Duke

Joe Biden probably wouldn’t let an eight-year-old drive, buy alcohol, or even decide to make ice cream a regular dinner, but he’s all for allowing a wee child to choose to “be” the opposite sex. This was made clear last Thursday at ABC’s town hall event, where the Democrat presidential nominee essentially claimed that such a position was rooted in compassion. Yet the many victims of childhood “transgenderism” — now living with scarred bodies and psyches — may beg to differ.
