• On George Floyd: There is NOTHING to Protest

    Burning VanBy Selwyn Duke

With the mayhem following the last Monday death of arrestee George Floyd, many have pointed out that protesting is fine, but rioting is not. While obviously true, something equally so is left unsaid:

    There is nothing to protest.

It’s not as with the murder of Justine Damond, where it took eight months to arrest the guilty Minneapolis police officer, Mohamed Noor.

It’s not as with the killing of Virginian John Geer, where it took 23 months to arrest the cop who killed him and later pled down to involuntary manslaughter, Adam Torres.

Of course, Damond and Geer were both white. So not only were there no protests, riots, looting or burning; the incidents weren’t even covered nationally. Nothing to see here — move along.

  • Minneapolis Burning: Rioter Yells “Shoot the White Folk!”

    Burning VanBy Selwyn Duke

“Shoot the white folk!” is something you won’t hear in the mainstream media. It sure was heard on Minneapolis streets Wednesday night, though, as authorities fiddled while the city burned. And the fiddling and the burning are largely due to the mainstream media’s burning of truth.

While the media are consumed right now with the George Floyd case — the arrestee who died in Minneapolis police custody May 25 — you probably never heard about another police killing story, one that may prove instructive here. It involves the murder of 46-year-old Fairfax, Virginia, resident John Geer, by a police officer with known “anger issues” who’d been subject to four internal-affairs investigations. Geer had committed no crime the day he was shot — even the policeman who killed him admits that. Nor was he drunk or posing a threat at the time.

Oh, and the above was corroborated by six witnesses — four of whom were police officers.

It was an unjust killing, alright, and the cop who pulled the trigger was eventually charged with second-degree murder, pled down to involuntary manslaughter, and was released after just a bit more than 10 months in prison. That’s what a black life is worth in America, some might say.

Except that John Geer, the victim, was white.

  • Fauci on Masks, NO; Fauci on Masks, YES. Which Fauci Should We Believe?

    Pinnochio2By Selwyn Duke

One thing about our Dr. Anthony Fauci is that he really does have something for everyone: If you don’t like his position, just wait a bit — he’ll change it.

Just consider face masks. Fauci now says that everybody should wear one in public, that he does as a “symbol” of right action, and that it shows “respect for another person.” But what also shows respect is telling the truth. And how does the good doctor measure up there?

  • Ex-Cosmo Writer Admits Creating FAKE News to Advance Feminism; Superiors Told Her to Lie

    Shell GameBy Selwyn Duke

She wove fiction in with the facts, but she doesn’t call it “fake news.” Believing that’s too vague a term, ex-Cosmopolitan writer Sue Ellen Browder describes what she peddled as “propaganda.” Worse still, the deception was sanctioned from the top, with legendary Cosmo editor Helen Gurley Brown telling the writers to when necessary “invent” authorities to cite and misidentify locations.

Browder’s goal, according to the Daily Signal, was to sell women on the Sexual Devolution — to corrupt their sexual mores — or, as some put it, achieve “liberation” (from morality).

  • Viral Video: Enraged, COVID-crazed Mob Chases Unmasked Woman from Supermarket

    Banana RepublicBy Selwyn Duke

    At least she wasn’t lynched.

In a striking example of the mob mentality at work, a woman was recently chased from a supermarket in Staten Island, New York, because she wasn’t wearing a mask. A now-viral video of the COVID-crazed patrons hurling profanities and screaming at the woman was posted to Twitter Sunday night after user “McAuley” found it on Reddit.

  • COVID: Evangelicals and Their Belief in an Afterlife Are KILLING Us, Says Harvard Professor

    Religion-AtheismBy Selwyn Duke

First it was the New York Times claiming that Christians and their “science denialism” were sending us to “coronavirus hell.” Now, perhaps missing the irony that atheistic China visited COVID-19 upon the world, a Harvard professor has blamed Christians for exacerbating the pandemic, calling belief in an afterlife “a malignant delusion” that “devalues actual lives and discourages action that would make them longer, safer, and happier.”

  • JP Morgan Study: COVID Lockdowns INEFFECTIVE; Millions of Livelihoods Being Destroyed for NOTHING

    Failure FigureBy Selwyn Duke

Are politicians now continuing the lockdowns because admitting error — that they’re guilty of advancing one of American history’s greatest blunders — would mean political destruction? Are they continuing to destroy the careers of millions to save their own (when, perhaps, something more sinister is not at work)? Many may now draw this conclusion after yet another study, this one by establishment company JP Morgan, has found that the lockdowns have done nothing to alter the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic’s course.

  • COVID Craziness: Lockdowns for Us but Not 67K Criminals — Now Killing Americans

    Banana RepublicBy Selwyn Duke

Lock down those who are supposed to be free — and free those supposed to be locked up. That’s the formula being applied, and it’s leading to rising crime, suffering innocents, and murder.

Americans have been arrested for opening their hair salon, working out in a gym, and sitting alone in a lifeguard chair and reading, as officials enforce rules such as you can go to the beach but will be forcibly yanked from the ocean if you swim (huh?!). Apparently, jail-borne Wuhan coronavirus spares the puerilely persecuted but, having a better moral sense than many politicians, not those rightly punished.

Many might thus quip, anyway, pondering how governors have released 67,000 criminals — many dangerous — under the pretext of wanting to protect them and prison workers from COVID-19.

If only they thought about protecting the public, 21-year-old Colorado woman Heather Perry would still be alive today.

  • Cuomo Bros Joke, but Media Malpractice and Andrew’s Nursing Home Kills Are No Laughing Matter

Back to School DuncecapBy Selwyn Duke

There’s nothing wrong with a little humor. But when a joke of a governorship and a joke of a news program meet, it really is no laughing matter.

This perhaps was certain critics’ conclusion after CNN host Chris Cuomo, interviewing his brother, Governor Andrew Cuomo, recently about New York’s pandemic response, began joking about the size of the latter’s nose. The muscle-bound Chris even had comedy-show-worthy props at the ready, such as a fake cotton swab as large as the dumbbells he lifts during his TV vanity displays.

Of course, it’s unrealistic thinking a brother would ask truly relevant questions, such as why the governor killed thousands of nursing home residents by seeding their facilities with Wuhan coronavirus-positive patients. But the larger issue is that the Cuomo Comedy Show is merely symbolic of the incestuous relationship existing between the Democrats and the entire mainstream media — brothers in ideological arms all.

  • Did Gov Destroy Economy for NOTHING? COVID May Be Less Deadly Than Flu, Study Finds

    Bad DoctorBy Selwyn Duke

Does the Wuhan coronavirus’s fearsome reputation greatly exceed its reality? A Stanford University study indicates that this is precisely the case, finding that the disease’s mortality rate may be lower than that of the flu.

Stanford epidemiologist John Ioannidis, co-director of the university’s Meta-Research Innovation Center, warned two months ago that the COVID-19 lockdowns were based on bad data and consequently could be ill-advised. But now he has compiled his own data indicating that the lockdowns may actually be, as many have warned, a cure deadlier than the disease.
