• French Station Plays “Jesus is a Faggot” Song, Then Apologizes — to LGBT Groups

    Prejudice SignBy Selwyn Duke

France’s hate-speech laws have been used to arrest people such as actress Brigitte Bardot, in her case for criticizing Islamic animal slaughter practices. But they didn’t stop public radio broadcaster France Inter from playing a song entitled “Jésus est pédé” (“Jesus Is a Faggot”). And while such charges are unlikely forthcoming, the station did apologize — to LGBT groups “offended” by the term “faggot.”

  • Canadian Teacher Shows Korean 6-year-olds Cannibalism Video; Faces Child-abuse Charges

    Man in Handcuffs2By Selwyn Duke

She didn’t exactly do the West proud. A Canadian English teacher working in South Korea apparently has a very odd conception of “age appropriate”: She showed a BBC documentary entitled “What does human flesh taste like?” — to a class of children as young as six. Now she faces child-abuse charges and is forbidden from leaving the country.

  • Harvard’s Plan for Total Leftist Power: Divide D.C. Into 127 States

    552042_lowBy Selwyn Duke

Leftist ideas about eliminating the Electoral College or packing the courts may seem to epitomize total lust for power, but they’re nothing compared to a more recent proposal: to “Pack the Union.” The scheme, laid out in the supposedly prestigious Harvard Law Review, advocates reducing Washington D.C.’s size to just a few federal buildings and then turning the city’s 127 neighborhoods into states. With the area being a Democrat stronghold, this would add 254 far-left senators and 127 far-left representatives to Congress.

This would enable the Left to alter the Constitution virtually at will, something the Review complains is currently too difficult to allow for fundamental change.

  • Lone Star State Blues? Ted Cruz Says Texas (and Thus the Presidency) in Play for Dems in 2020

    Donkey-ElephantBy Selwyn Duke

The Democrats are going to mess with Texas in 2020. So says Republican Senator Ted Cruz, who predicts that a massive Democrat turnout in the coming November 3 contest will threaten President Trump’s re-election chances. He also states, however, that the impeachment effort has helped Trump, transforming his second-term prospects from “a coin flip” proposition into something greater.

Texas has for a while now been a prime Democrat electoral target because, as I wrote in 2012, flipping the state left would make it impossible for a conservative Republican to become president. The 2018 election was a portent of things to come, too, says Cruz, as the Democrats more than doubled their Lone Star State turnout that year. This helps explain the senator’s narrow, 2.6 percent 2018 re-election victory over left-wing challenger Irish Bob (“Beto”) O’Rourke, the closest Senate race in Texas since 1978.

  • Bolshevik Bern? Shockingly, Sanders Hasn’t Fired Bloodthirsty, Pro-gulag, Marxist Staffer

    Communist FlagBy Selwyn Duke

When Bernie Sanders supporter James Hodgkinson tried to assassinate a group of Republicans in 2017, shooting five people, it was considered an anomaly. Any campaign can have one nut associated with it, after all. But many are reconsidering this assessment now that a Project Veritas (PV) undercover video has captured a violent Sanders field organizer talking about putting political opponents in Stalinesque “gulags” and saying that the campaign is full of people of his mind. More troubling still is that presidential contender Sanders (I-Vt.) has thus far failed to fire the organizer, with a staffer dismissing talk about his admissions as “political gossip.”

  • Separation of Church and Space? Attacks Against Space Force Bible

    Religion-AtheismBy Selwyn Duke

They’re not lost in space — just in constitutional confusion if not antipathy.

Militant anti-Christians are up in arms again talking about the “separation of church and state.” Raising their ire this time was the blessing of the new Space Force’s official Bible, which took place this past Sunday. The Holy Book will be provided to corps commanders who choose to be sworn in on it. But Mikey Weinstein, founder and president of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, is apparently not pro-choice.

Weinstein, who really does go by “Mikey,” has made a career out of trying to purge America’s foundational faith from the military. He’s not shy about his biases, either, making statements such as, “Today, we face incredibly well-funded gangs of fundamentalist Christian monsters who terrorize their fellow Americans by forcing their weaponized and twisted version of Christianity upon their helpless subordinates in our nation's armed forces.”

  • The Debate Stage: Democrats Blame Their Voters for Their White Presidential Candidates

    Prejudice SignBy Selwyn Duke

Some Democrats are angry about their presidential candidates; others are just embarrassed by them. But disturbing these liberals are not their contenders’ radical views — it’s their whiteness. And responding to the matter of race in the race, Democratic National Committee (DNC) chairman Tom Perez has said, essentially: Don’t look at me. It’s the voters.

  • Were Sanders’ Alleged Comments to Warren “Sexism” — or Anti-Americanism?

    Politically CorrectBy Selwyn Duke

Green Mountain State socialist Senator Sanders is certainly feeling the Bern — of his own medicine. Sanders, who’s in the habit of calling President Trump a “racist” and a “sexist,” is now accused of “sexism” himself for allegedly telling Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) that she couldn’t win the presidency because she’s female. Yet even if Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) had made the comment, would it really reflect “sexism” — or something else?

  • Professor Loses Position for Committing a Grave Sin: Telling the Truth

    2052845_lowBy Selwyn Duke

There’s one thing that’ll get you in more trouble today than telling a big lie.

    Voicing a simple truth.

Professor Stuart Reges found this out the hard way. He was demoted and put on probation by his employer, the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering in Seattle, after addressing the issue of why so few women enter his field. His striking conclusion?

The computer scientist didn’t claim that women were only happy barefoot and pregnant, though you wouldn’t know it by the uproar following what he actually did say: Women don’t frequently enter computer science because — wait for it — they don’t want to.

  • Is Pelosi Timing the Impeachment Articles’ Release so as to Damage Bernie?

    Man in CrosshairsBy Selwyn Duke

The conventional wisdom regarding Nancy Pelosi’s holding of the impeachment articles is that, as someone put it, she’d pulled the pin on the grenade and then didn’t know what to do. Yet even if she has bumbled into her current predicament, which seems likely, is there now some method to her madness? Has she found a way to turn lemons into at least a thimble of lemonade by using the situation to damage the presidential candidate she doesn’t want to see capture the Democratic nomination — burgeoning Bernie Sanders — and help the establishment choice, Joe Biden?
