With President Trump acquitted and the Democrats outwitted, House Speak Nancy Pelosi drowned her tears with a tear Tuesday night, destroying a copy of the State of the Union Address on camera when the president concluded his speech. Unfortunately for the California representative, while her office claimed it was a spontaneous act, a camera caught her preparing for her big moment in a manner previously reserved for her money-making deals: under the table.

“The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter,” goes the saying. Achieving such cynicism only took 2 ½ minutes at an Iowa caucus site, however, when a woman who’d voted for Pete Buttigieg was shocked to learn he was in a homosexual relationship and consequently wanted to rescind her vote. A Buttigieg operative then tried to reverse her thinking, using arguments that inspire lines about five-minute conversations.

It was Monday at Crestwood High School in Cresco when a Democrat caucus voter and Senator Amy Klobuchar supporter, identified only as “Geert,” had agreed to join Buttigieg acolytes in voting for the 38-year-old mayor of South Bend, Indiana. But then she overheard other backers mention the man billed as the candidate’s “spouse,” Chasten Buttigieg, in a conversation. This sparked an exchange….

The Democrats’ much-awaited primaries began like their Trump-Russia-collusion claims and the impeachment effort ended for them: in disaster. Not only did an app created by Hillary Clinton campaign veterans fail to perform and thus delay Iowa caucus results, but Democrat establishment pick Joe Biden appears to have under-performed and currently has zero delegates.

Senator Elizabeth Warren has tried hard to pander to the sexual devolutionaries, even vowing to have a “transgender” child vet her education secretary. But caught on undercover video, one of her campaign staffers scoffed at this focus, saying it’s why Democrats lose elections.

The comments, by Warren Iowa field organizer Angel Alicea, are found in Project Veritas’ latest 2020 campaign exposé.

“Let all the babies be born. Then let us drown those we do not like,” remarked G.K. Chesterton in 1932. That certainly would bring home the reality of abortion. Yet that many would rather drown it out is no doubt a major reason why FOX Sports, after giving a pro-life organization a six-month run-around, wouldn’t air its Super Bowl advertisement. Making matters worse, the network did air a commercial featuring Sexual Devolution activists and drag queens. Welcome to the new abnormal.

It’s not that FOX had a problem with controversial ads, per se, run during this year’s big game in which the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers 31-20. The network did play, for example, campaign commercials for President Trump and Michael Bloomberg. One of the latter’s ads involved an attack on Trump; another was devoted to gun restrictions and evoked controversy and accusations of deceit even before the Sunday event. All in all, presidential candidates and their allies spent more than $21 million on Super Bowl ad buys. Money talks.

Except, that is, when it’s pro-lifers’ money.

It’s all over but the shouting, as is said. While President Trump’s acquittal in his Senate impeachment trial was never really in doubt, it’s now just days away with a decision to not allow witnesses. Moreover, Trump’s vindication may be somewhat bipartisan, with a few Democrats possibly voting in his favor. Yet some things here have been left unsaid, not the least of which is that what seems an end may just be a dark new beginning.

Elizabeth Warren had better lay off that beer. Or maybe it’s peyote she’s taking. One could wonder now that the Massachusetts senator has just vowed that as president she’d give a nine-year-old “transgender” child veto power over her candidate for secretary of education.

“You cannot be serious!” is the logical response here, to quote ex-tennis star John McEnroe. But Democrat presidential contender Warren is absolutely serious, having made the comments at a Sunday Iowa town hall while addressing a question about the supposed lack of “LGBTQ” history and sex education in government schools (a bit like complaining about a lack of mosquitoes in the Everglades).

While our nation is distracted with a Senate impeachment trial, our main geo-political rival is busy not just harvesting organs on its own shores but harvesting American technology and national secrets on ours. The latest on this front concerns charges brought Tuesday against an esteemed Harvard professor, and two Chinese nationals who’d been researchers at American institutions, for lying about alleged links to the Beijing government.
