• Mamma Mia: Under New Gov’t, Italy Again Attracting Migrants and Becoming “Refugee Camp”

    Failure FigureBy Selwyn Duke

While Hungary has just said it may “use force” to repel migrants, Italy under its new government is doing the opposite: With word getting out that the nation is again accepting Third World “refugees,” more are now reportedly leaving Africa — and are poised to spread throughout Europe.

Italy had enjoyed a 14-month respite from migrant inundation owing to the policies of former interior minister and staunch patriot Matteo Salvini. But a late summer election resulted in the rise of a left-wing coalition government comprising the Five Star Movement and the Democratic Party, which is overturning those policies. The Mediterranean nation thus now faces a return to what a 2017 Bloomberg editorial described as “Italy’s migrant crisis.”

This message has been received, too, apparently. Consider the comments of a previously deported Tunisian illegal migrant who has just returned to Italy.

  • Hungary Responds to Turkey’s Thuggish Threat: May “Use Force” to Repel Migrants

    MuslimStarandCrescentBy Selwyn Duke

Turkey’s president Recep Tayyip Erdogan has long used a very old tactic to advance his will: threat of invasion. A current preferred variety is the enabling of Muslim migrants’ passage into Europe, and Erdogan has again threatened this kind of cold invasion if the EU criticizes his hot invasion of Syria.

But one European leader isn’t taking this lying down: Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán (shown) has said that no migrants will pass into his nation — in fact, he has vowed to “use force” to stop them if necessary.

  • The Dem Debate: Is it Billionaires — or Billionaire Bashers — Who “Should Not Exist”?

    Angry ManBy Selwyn Duke

“The very rich are different from you and me…they have more money,” goes the saying. But they also now have more scorn. It’s not just rank-and-file socialists, either, almost half of whom say that “taking violent action against the rich” is sometimes justified. It’s also those enabling this mentality, such as Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), the presidential candidate whose pronouncement “Billionaires should not exist” is now emblazoned on bumper stickers sent to his followers.

Yet it isn’t only Sanders, who recently suffered a heart attack, trying to give the mega-wealthy one. Playing the class-warfare card and stoking envy’s fires, Great Depression-style billionaire bashing was the order of the day at Tuesday’s Democrat debate (video below).

  • Survey: Almost HALF of Socialists Believe “Violent Action Against the Rich” May be Justified

    Communist RevolutionBy Selwyn Duke

The unofficial leftist credo “If it feels good, do it” can be a problem when what feels good is cracking heads. This comes to mind with a new survey indicating that almost half of American socialists — 47 percent — believe that “citizens taking violent action against the rich” is sometimes justified.

  • Is “No Gods, No Masters — Except Us” the New Democrat Slogan?

    Religion-AtheismBy Selwyn Duke

“I expect to die in bed, my successor will die in prison, and his successor will die a martyr in the public square.” So said the late Cardinal Francis George approximately a decade ago, warning that this recurring historical pattern could be completed in our nation if we maintain our current cultural trajectory. And as society secularizes, say critics, leading the way is a major political party: the Democrats.

It’s not just that mention of God was removed from the party’s platform in 2012; it is not just that restoring it was so controversial that the creative vote counting required to do so evoked boos.

  • Foreign Rule Over America: California’s Gov. Newsom Signs Law Putting Illegals on State Boards

Big Man Stepping on Small ManBy Selwyn Duke

It’s a radical left-wing idea so unjust that it was even rejected by a governor nicknamed “Moonbeam.” But that hasn’t deterred California’s governor Gavin Newsom. Finding his own way to address secret foreign influence over our government, he’s put it right out in the open: Newsom just signed a law allowing illegal aliens to serve on state boards — governing you.

  • A First: Illegal Border-crossing Terrorist Is on Trial. Not a First: Media Bury Story

    MuslimStarandCrescentBy Selwyn Duke

“We have terrorists coming through the southern border,” said President Trump early this year. Days later, the New York Times contradicted this, writing that “counterterrorism officials and experts said there had never been a case of a known terrorist sneaking into the country through open areas of the southwest border.” It was a strange assertion since at that very moment a jihadist, who’d illegally crossed our southern border, was facing terrorism charges up in Canada.

In fairness, though, perhaps the Times doesn’t follow the news.

  • Freudian Slipping? 75% of Gen Zers Have Quit Work Because of Mental Problems

Young Man with HeadphonesBy Selwyn Duke

If you don’t yet have a “mental problem,” just wait for the next updating of psychiatry’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders — because you will. Many will thus conclude with a new survey showing that 50 percent of millennials (ages 23 to 38) and 75 percent of Gen Zers (ages 18 to 22) have quit jobs because of psychological issues. In contrast, only 10 percent of baby boomers said they’d done so.

  • The Manchurian League: NBA, Other Big Biz, Doing China’s Bidding

    Chinese stormtroopersBy Selwyn Duke

If you asked NBA bigwigs if they’d have done business with the Nazis, as some WWII-era corporations did, they’d no doubt self-righteously posture while issuing a denial. Yet they’re doing business with and are pandering to the Nazi regime of our day, Beijing’s fascist Chinese. Nonetheless, licking foreign jackboots hasn’t stopped them from kicking their own country, say critics — as they serve mammon and the Middle Kingdom.

Little known and worse still, though, is that the National Basketball Association isn’t alone: China exerts influence over a broad spectrum of American companies, over what we see in our movies, and what youth are taught in many of our schools.

  • As SCOTUS Decides What “Sex” Means, Conservatives Still Confused About “Gender”

    Sex Symbols-ConfusionBy Selwyn Duke

It’s a sign of the times that the Supreme Court of the United States has to decide something we all once learned as little children: the meaning of “sex,” as in being male or female. But that is the case, as the SCOTUS will now address a lower court opinion that the term “sex” in the 1964 Civil Rights Act can mean “sexual orientation.” The issue becomes even more interesting because the purported defenders of language and constitutional integrity, conservatives, are themselves confused about “gender.”
