And since their business is engineering society out of common sense, a recent article a professor penned stating that women are less interested in computer science was labeled “gender harassment” and inspired “diversity training” — our day’s version of the re-education camp.

They’re tearing down America — one tradition, one institution, one standard, one statue at a time. The latest victim, aside from the posterity that may be robbed of glorious Western culture, is a Christopher Columbus statue that for 45 years had stood in Los Angeles’ Grand Park, until some lesser angels with grand ambitions wouldn’t stand for its presence. So intense is their hatred, in fact, that they appear to want the statue destroyed completely, never to be seen again.

They tried to wash his mouth out with political correctness. He resisted. Then university officials made threats to force the professor into “pronoun compliance.” Now he’s taking legal action, with attorneys from Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) having filed a federal lawsuit against the school last Monday on his behalf.
Breitbart reports on the case:
On January 9, Nicholas Meriwether, a philosophy professor at Shawnee State University in Ohio, responded to a student’s question by saying, “No, sir.” That student transitioned from male to female and confronted Meriwether after class, demanding the professor use feminine titles and pronouns. Meriwether disagreed. The student became “belligerent, circling around the professor and getting in his face in a threatening fashion,” according to the complaint filed in federal court.
Before walking away, the student allegedly said, “Then I guess this means I can call you a c[**]t.”
The student promised to get Meriwether fired for pronoun noncompliance, filing a complaint. Meriwether reported the student’s alleged conduct to the Jennifer Pauley, chair of the Humanities and English departments. Subsequently, the university launched an investigation. The professor offered to call the student by first and last name, bypassing pronouns; however, Shawnee State officials rejected the middle ground fix. ADF said this forced Meriwether to speak and act contrary to his religious beliefs.
ADF Senior Counsel Travis Barham explained that Meriwether is a Christian who believes in the reality of the matter: that sex is fixed at birth (and thus, doesn’t have to be “fixed” — or, perhaps we should say, broken — later).

Is ours becoming a government of big tech, by big tech, and for big tech? This is a good question given that through its suppression of perhaps more than two billion conservative pages, Facebook alone might have “stolen” the 2018 midterm election for Democrats — and itself.
Oh, this isn’t to say Facebook literally tampered with voting machines or ballots any more than the Russians did in 2016. But note that many Democrats have been saying that Putin “stole” the election for President Trump. Yet as Fox News host Tucker Carlson noted a while back, "If a few Russians buying Facebook ads threatens our democracy, and that's what they're telling us, how about the threat of Facebook itself?"
So whose “theft” was greater? The Russians’?

Well, ladies, you did it again. No, not all of you. But here’s the reality: If only men had voted this election, the GOP would have held the House and picked up some seats. The Senate’s Republican majority would be even greater (than plus six or eight) and the Trump train would be full-steam ahead. But women breaking for Democrats by roughly 20 points made this impossible — and Mad Max (Waters) a committee chairman. Egads!
Here are the stats: Women constituted 52 percent of the electorate and went for Democrats 59-40. Men went for Republicans 51-49. Oh, don’t get me wrong, this wasn’t the guys’ finest hour, either; when almost half my fellow “men” are voting for the party of irrationality, well, we’re perhaps seeing the consequences of the recent decades’ 30-percent drop in testosterone levels.
Yet this merely reflects a simple truth. Regarding voting, men really stink.
Women stink worse.

Having lost the presidency while winning the popular vote twice since 2000, the Democrats were already having a hissy fit over the Electoral College. Now that they’ve seized control of Congress’ lower chamber but have nonetheless lost ground in its upper one, some leftists are intensifying another complaint: The Senate is undemocratic and should be ended as we know it.
A case in point is Salon’s Alt-Left writer Amanda Marcotte, who just penned a rant entitled “Here’s your midterm analysis: America is being held hostage by angry old white guys.” Of course, she’s not fond of mature whites in general, whom she essentially accuses of being “racist” (a term peppered throughout her piece), knuckle-dragging enablers of “the man.”
Explaining why a “huge, diverse nation is being controlled” by the pale few, Marcotte writes that part “of it is the result of our increasingly outdated electoral system, which give [sic] a disproportionate share of power to votes in suburban and rural areas. That’s how Democrats wound up losing several seats in the Senate this year, despite winning the popular vote by 15 percentage points.”
It was on Twitter, however, where Marcotte really let loose.

Once again showing that those preaching tolerance most are the most intolerable, popular Fox News host Tucker Carlson has become the latest victim of left-wing street-mob (in)justice. The scene was the pundit’s D.C. home, where protesting rabble hurled veiled threats and reportedly even cracked Carlson’s door, as his wife hid in a pantry in fear.
