It can perhaps be dangerous turning over rocks in the government swamp when you’re a swamp creature. The Democrats may learn this the hard way, with President Trump now accusing ex-Attorney General Loretta Lynch (shown) of providing cover for Hillary Clinton during the FBI investigation of her illegal use of a private e-mail server.

Trump’s accusation was made in an early Tuesday morning tweet in which he wrote, “A.G. Lynch made law enforcement decisions for political purposes…gave Hillary Clinton a free pass and protection. Totally illegal!”

The president was, of course, referring to ousted FBI Director James Comey’s testimony in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee last week, during which he confessed he felt “queasy” after Lynch told him not to call the Clinton probe an “investigation” but, rather, to term it a “matter.”

Peddling lies has a price. This was evident this morning when Republican congressman Steve Scalise, a congressional staffer, and members of the congressional police force were shot by a leftist who, as another GOP representative put it, “was there to kill as many Republican members as possible.”

The scene was a practice for the GOP congressional baseball team in Alexandria, Virginia. The shooter is identified as James T. Hodgkinson of Belleville, Illinois. Scalise, the third-ranking member of House leadership and majority whip, was shot in the hip. He underwent surgery this morning and is currently recovering from the attack. Hodgkinson was hit by the Capitol Hill Police’s return fire and later died from his injuries.

Hodgkinson was a leftist who, reports the Smoking Gun, “posted a link to a Change.org petition in late March that included the notation that, ‘Trump is a Traitor. Trump Has Destroyed Our Democracy. It's Time to Destroy Trump & Co.’”

In the wake of every terrorist act, there is the same argument. Voices-in-the-wilderness rightists will say, insofar as they’re not muzzled with hate-speech laws, that Islam is the problem. In contrast, a leftist drumbeat of media and mainstream politicos will assert that the Muslim terrorists aren’t really “Muslim” terrorists, that they’ve perverted the faith. As to the truth, it’s as with any other debate over a thing’s true meaning (e.g., the Constitution): it only makes sense to look for answers in original sources.

This brings us to a simple question: Was Mohammed a true Muslim?

“We learn from history that we do not learn from history,” said German philosopher Georg Hegel. This certainly applies to the resurgent support for Marxism and the tolerance for her adherents, bloody though their hands may be. A good example is the honoring of communist FALN terrorist Oscar López Rivera at Sunday’s New York City Puerto Rican Day parade.

Rivera, 74, spent 35 years in prison for his involvement with the FALN, a Puerto Rican terrorist group that bombed more than 120 U.S. targets between 1974 and 1983, killing or maiming dozens of people. It advocated independence for Puerto Rico but also its enslavement — as it also advocated Marxism. (Of course, Puerto Ricans have never voted for independence — they just voted for statehood — but pesky little matters such as the people’s will never deterred Marxists.)

What was long suspected has now been confirmed by ex-FBI director James Comey’s Thursday testimony: Donald J. Trump (shown), our 45th president, colluded with patriotic Americans from coast to coast to “steal” the election from Hillary Clinton.

What won it for him wasn’t Russia.

It wasn’t space aliens (although illegal aliens were in the mix).

It was the people leftists disparagingly call “'Muricans,” who had the temerity to defy the media, Hollywood, academia, pollsters, and what Clinton deemed her birthright in electing an anti-establishment candidate. They snatched a measure of Americanism from the jaws of globalism.

She’s someone you might not have babysit your child, but she nonetheless received Top Secret security clearance. Now she’s sitting in jail, facing 10 years’ incarceration for leaking classified information to the media. Welcome to third-millennium American reality — and to Reality.

Reality Leigh Winner, that is. That’s the name of the 25-year-old federal contractor (shown) who was arrested Saturday for endangering national security. But Reality has little acquaintance with reality. She’s a brainwashed, far-left #Resistance activist who supports Black Lives Matter, stated she would stand with Iran against the United States, and wrote that “being white is terrorism.”

Sure, give this woman clearance. What could possibly go wrong?

It certainly makes for good news stories and great anti-administration propaganda: Jared Kushner (shown facing camera), President Trump’s son-in-law and close confidant, supposedly sought “back-channel” communications with Russia. Cue the dramatic music and start salivating over impeachment prospects. Yet even if the allegation is true, it’s much ado about nothing. Moreover, it blows the whole Russia-stole-the-election story out of the water.

It’s hard to know if it’s more delusion or deception, but the media are again blaming President Trump for violence, this time after a Republican congressional candidate got physical with a reporter. Of course, the media’s accusation is much like Planned Parenthood or the MS-13 gang blaming George Zimmerman for our nation’s diminishing respect for life.

Fake-news outlet the Washington Post is a case in point, currently running an article titled “The GOP inherits what Trump has wrought.” The paper opines, “The angry forces that propelled President Trump’s rise are beginning to frame and define the rest of the Republican Party.”
