• UK Woman Who Reported Muslim Pedophilia Forced Into “Diversity Training”

    Three MonkeysBy Selwyn Duke

“You must never [again] refer to Asian men,” and your “awareness of ethnic issues” needs to be raised. This chastisement was given to a UK Home Office researcher who, apparently, was thought guilty of “racism.” Her offense?

She blew the whistle on a pedophilia ring in the English town of Rotherham.

One in which the girl victims were white — and the abusers Muslim Pakistanis.

  • The Utah Polygamy Ruling and the Tale of the Slippery Slope

    Sister WivesBy Selwyn Duke

“Same sex marriage leads away from polygamy, not for it,” said the Brookings Institution’s Jonathan Rauch in 2012. Joining him was the Economist, which wrote just last year that “gay marriage” to polygamy was “A not-so-slippery slope.” But more and more it seems that these and other crystal-ball watchers have slipped on their own prognostication.

Headline Aug. 28, 2014: “Federal Judge Opens Door Further to Group Marriage.” That’s from Breitbart’s Austin Ruse, who reports:

The polygamist reality TV stars of "Sister Wives" can sleep easy tonight as a Federal Judge in Utah has struck down at least part of the State's ban on polygamy.

The Utah ban made it illegal and punishable by up to five years in prison for anyone to cohabit with someone they are not legally married to. This part of the law was struck down by Federal Judge Clark Waddoups last December. At the time, the Judge let stand the part of the statute that makes it illegal to have more than one marriage license.

In his latest ruling this week, the Judge found that Utah County Attorney Jeff Buhman had violated the constitutional rights of the Brown family [of the “Sister Wives” show] when he investigated them for bigamy.

Of course, this opening of a door to polygamy was entirely predictable and had been predicted, by me and many others. How could anyone know? Because ideas have consequences, arguments accepted get recycled, and precedents are called precedents because they precede.

  • Muslim Pedophilia in the UK Ignored by Politically-correct Authorities

    Abused GirlBy Selwyn Duke

It’s a shocking revelation. Authorities in the UK ignored a child-trafficking ring — and the beating, terrorizing, and sexual abuse of children. And it was for a very troubling reason:

    The perpetrators were Muslim.

The Associated Press details the abuse:

About 1,400 children were sexually exploited in a northern England town, a report concluded Tuesday….

Report author Alexis Jay cited appalling acts of violence between 1997 and 2013 in Rotherham, a town of some 250,000.

… The report described rapes by multiple perpetrators, mainly from Britain's Pakistani community, and how children were trafficked to other towns and cities in the north of England, abducted, beaten, and intimidated.

"There were examples of children who had been doused in petrol and threatened with being set alight, threatened with guns, made to witness brutally violent rapes and threatened they would be next if they told anyone," Jay said. "Girls as young as 11 were raped by large numbers of male perpetrators."

  • U.K. May Make Psychological Abuse, Humiliation Jailable Offenses

    Arm-wrestling-Man vs. WomanBy Selwyn Duke

Polygamy may still be illegal in most of the West, but, increasingly, marriages today often include more than just two members: husband, wife — and Big Brother. The latest example is a proposal in the United Kingdom that would make actions such as “bullying” and withholding money in intimate relationships jailable offenses. Writes the Telegraph’s David Barrett:

Husbands who keep their wives downtrodden could face prison under new plans set out by the Government today.

Theresa May, the Home Secretary, published proposals for a new offence of “domestic abuse” that would criminalise men or women who bully, cause psychological harm or deny money to their partners.

The law would make the worst cases of non-violent “controlling behaviour” a jailable offence.

Exact terms of the offence are yet to be defined, but it could involve humiliating, frightening or intimidating a partner, keeping them away from friends or family or restricting their access to money.

  • Big Brother to Farmers: Host Same-sex Wedding or Pay Fine

    Sex Symbols-ConfusionBy Selwyn Duke

It gives new meaning to the term “shotgun wedding”: Government officials in New York have told an upstate farming couple that they must host same-sex “weddings” on their property — and because they refused to do so they must pay a $13,000 fine.

The hapless farmers are Robert and Cynthia Gifford, who have owned Liberty Ridge Farm in Schaghticoke, New York, for more than a quarter century. During much of that time at least, writes The Daily Signal’s Leslie Ford, they have opened “the farm to the public for events like berry picking, fall festivals, and pig racing” — and, sometimes, for weddings. This was never a problem until 2012, when, reports Ford, “Melissa Erwin and Jennie McCarthy contacted the Giffords [by telephone] to rent the family’s barn for their same-sex wedding ceremony and reception. Cynthia Gifford responded that she and her husband would have to decline their request as they felt they could not in good conscience host a same-sex wedding ceremony at their home.”

Unbeknownst to the Giffords at the time, however, the phone call was being recorded.

  • Nine-year-old Girl Accidentally Shoots Instructor: Should Our Freedoms Be Casualties, Too?

    American EagleBy Selwyn Duke

Must every tragic and unusual gun death be accompanied by irrational calls for more government intrusion into our lives? Virtually all of us have heard about Arizona firearms instructor Charles Vacca, who was accidentally shot and killed Monday at the Last Stop gun range by a nine-year-old girl he was teaching to shoot a fully automatic Uzi. The incident was caught on video and, not surprisingly, has caught the nation’s attention. Unfortunately, though, it’s reason and reality that are caught in the crosshairs.

Many Internet commenters have seized the opportunity to place blame for this unfortunate accident on who they call “gun nuts”: NRA members and Second Amendment defenders in general. They also frequently place undue onus on the young girl’s parents, perhaps not considering that the couple was at a gun range that offered machine gun rentals (with supervision) — in much the same way that people can pay to race cars on a closed track — and that the parents had the expectation that this professional recreational facility was safe. And this expectation was not unrealistic. As the New York Times itself reported, quoting Last Stop gun range owner Sam Scarmado, “‘In the last 14 years, we’ve probably had 100,000 people shoot five million rounds of ammunition, and of those, a thousand to two thousand of them were children,’ he said. ‘We’ve never given out a Band-Aid — no one’s never even got a scratch.’” The paper added further perspective, writing, “Daniel Webster, the director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Policy and Research, said that what happened at Last Stop was ‘an outlier.’ Shooting ranges are generally regarded as safe places, where guns are fired in a controlled setting and under the supervision of trained instructors.”

  • Black Cop Kills Unarmed White Youth — Media and Feds Silent

    Three MonkeysBy Selwyn Duke

While Ferguson, Missouri, burns with racism and rioting, misinformation and mayhem over the Michael Brown shooting, another American city is also grappling with the death of an unarmed young man at the hands of police. The incident occurred just two days after the Ferguson event, but, unlike in that case, where a white cop shot a black youth, in this instance the races are reversed. Unlike in Ferguson, there is no allegation that the young man attacked the officer. And there is another difference:

The national media, Attorney General Holder, and Barack Obama are silent.

The young man was 20-year-old Salt Lake City resident and father-to-be Dillon Taylor. Taylor was leaving the 2102 South State Street 7-Eleven on August 11 with his brother, Jerrail Taylor, and cousin, Adam Thayne, when the incident occurred. Writes Fox 13:

  • Pro-Palestine Activist Attacks Jewish College Student, Calls Him “Kike”

    1063641_lowBy Selwyn Duke

College orientation is supposed to be a period of settling in, getting to know your school and fellow students and, hopefully, fellowship. But Temple University’s “Temple Fest” event — billed as “your first taste of Temple” — left one Jewish student with a bad taste in his mouth. Writes Jewish Exponent:

Daniel Vessal, an upperclassman member of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity and a fellow with the pro-Israel organization, Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America, allegedly was assaulted during move-in day at Temple University’s main campus in Philadelphia on Wednesday.

Vessal had approached a table manned by members of Students for Justice in Palestine, known as SJP, during Templefest, where students gather information about campus activities and started talking with them, according to reports that were confirmed by Temple’s Hillel [Jewish campus organization] director, Phil Nordlinger.

  • Ex-Marine Gunner: Ferguson Shot Pattern Vindicates Officer Wilson

    Ferguson Shot PatternBy Selwyn Duke

Does the unusual shot pattern in the Michael Brown shooting incident tell the tale of whether or not Ferguson Police officer Darren Wilson fired in self-defense? Ex-marine and video blogger Michael Wilson (no relation) certainly thinks so. And he has created a presentation explaining the significance of the pattern and why he thinks the Brown family autopsy ultimately will vindicate Officer Wilson.

Relating his background in marksmanship, Michael Wilson says, “In the Marines I was a corporal; I was a squad leader and the gunner on a 60-millimeter mortar. And in that position I had to qualify with a pistol.” He then points out that whether you’re in the military or on a police force (or anytime anyone is trained in the use of handguns, for that matter) you’re taught to aim for center mass, the torso, as it’s the easiest target to hit and is where most vital organs are located. For this reason, Michael Wilson was immediately struck by the Brown family autopsy report. He said:

  • Ferguson: The Killing of Cops — and Other Footnotes in History

    Police Officer FuneralBy Selwyn Duke

It has now been reported that Ferguson Police officer Darren Wilson suffered a serious injury — an orbital blowout fracture to the eye socket — during his confrontation with Michael Brown. This new information, along with the revelations that an eyewitness caught on audio and 12 others confirm the police’s account of events and that all the gunshots entered the front of Brown’s body, are making more and more observers draw an increasingly likely conclusion: On that fateful Saturday, August 9, Officer Wilson was trying to avoid becoming what cops too often do.

    A statistic.

“On average, one law enforcement officer is killed in the line of duty somewhere in the United States every 58 hours,” writes the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.
