• Government to Doctors: Mention Illegal Aliens’ Diseases, Go to Jail

    Prison CellsBy Selwyn Duke

It appears that our government is working hard for the citizens.

Unfortunately, they’re not the citizens of the United States.

Fox News’ Todd Starnes reports shocking allegations that a government-contracted security force is threatening to arrest medical personnel at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, if they reveal information about the rampant disease among the illegal migrants at the facility. Nonetheless, several of these workers have decided to come forward, fearing the contagion risk posed to Americans. Starnes has kept their identities secret, as they could be subject to persecution.

Starnes reports, “‘There were several of us who wanted to talk about the camps, but the agents made it clear we would be arrested,’ a psychiatric counselor told me. “We were under orders not to say anything.’” And what could be said?

The counselor reports that measles, chicken pox, strep throat, lice, and scabies are pandemic in the camp; moreover, she warns that many of the children and young people have severe psychological and emotional problems.

  • Breaking Thad: Cochran Campaign Accused of Illegal Vote-buying

    Thad CochranBy Selwyn Duke

In the wake of revelations that Senator Thad Cochran’s June 24 primary runoff victory over Chris McDaniel was cemented with vicious race-baiting radio ads and illegal Democrat cross-over voting comes another shocking allegation:

A black reverend claims that he was part of a Cochran campaign operation to illegally buy the votes of black Mississippians.

Writes Charles C. Johnson at GotNews.com:

Reverend Stevie Fielder, associate pastor at historic First Union Missionary Baptist Church and former official at Meridian's redevelopment agency, says he delivered "hundreds or even thousands," of blacks to the polls after being offered money and being assured by a Cochran campaign operative that Chris McDaniel was a racist. "They [the Cochran campaign] told me to offer blacks fifteen dollars each and to vote for Thad."

… At the direction of the Cochran campaign, Reverend Fielder went "door to door, different places, mostly impoverished neighborhoods, to the housing authorities and stuff like that," telling fellow blacks that McDaniel was a racist and promising them $15 per vote. "They sold me on the fact that he was a racist and that the right thing to do was to keep him out of office," Fielder says.

… It is illegal under several provisions of Mississippi law and federal law for campaign officials to bribe voters with cash and punishable [by] up to five years in jail.

Fielder, a Democrat, reports that the Cochran campaign told him they would need about 10,000 black votes; “That was the target,” said Fielder. As it turned out, Cochran squeaked by in the June 24 contest by only 6700 votes — a 1.8 percent margin.

  • Thad Cochran and Mississippi Election Burning

    Thad CochranBy Selwyn Duke

A recent study found that Mississippi is the most corrupt state in the union. Now revelations about voting irregularities in the state’s June 24 GOP primary runoff have many critics wondering if Senator Thad Cochran’s narrow victory in it isn’t just the latest chapter in that corruption.

Facing Tea Party challenger Chris McDaniel, Cochran prevailed in the Tuesday, June 24 contest by a 1.9 percent margin that amounted to just 6,700 votes. But the senator received up to five times that many votes — perhaps 35,000 — from Democrats who crossed the aisle to cast ballots in the Republican primary. This in and of itself isn’t illegal in Mississippi, but doing so after also having voted in the June 3 Democratic primary is. And evidence of this is precisely what McDaniel’s supporters now claim to have found — hundreds of instances in one county alone.

  • Sheriff Arpaio: “Close” to Finding Obama Birth Certificate Forger

Sheriff Arpaio: “Close” to Finding Obama Birth Certificate ForgerBy Selwyn Duke

It was the elephant on the back of the elephant in the middle of the room. In a recent interview with Rusty Humphries, Maricopa County, Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio made news by saying that the Obama administration was “incompetent” and that its current dumping of illegals in Arizona is intentional. Yet perhaps even more shocking was a 45-second segment of the interview that has received scant attention: A claim by Arpaio that he’s close to discovering who forged Barack Obama’s birth certificate.

His comments were made between 9:59 and 10:44 in the interview and began as an explanation of why he would not run for Arizona governor despite appeals to do so. Arpaio said, “I would have to resign; I’m not going to leave this office to somebody coming in when I have sensitive investigations going.”

And then came the bombshell. Arpaio continued: “including the president’s birth certificate — I haven’t finished that yet.”

  • Global-warming Hoax Unraveling — Someone Tell Obama

    Ice AgeBy Selwyn Duke

There’s one kind of disaster that will most assuredly never happen:

The one everybody is worried about.

History teaches this. While Winston Churchill warned of Adolf Hitler’s dangerousness, others pooh-poohed the matter and few foresaw WWII. Prior to then, how many expected the Great Depression? Did any Pompeians predict the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D.? How many Romans worried about the Goths sacking the Eternal City in 410? Did medieval Europeans foresee the Black Death disaster of the 14th century? You can go right down the list.

This brings us to what everyone is worried about today: global war…er…climate chan…uh…. What’s the latest iteration? Ah, yes, “global climate disruption.” However they change the name, though, they can’t change a simple fact:

The global-warming agenda is increasingly being revealed for the scam it is.

  • School Blocks Conservative Websites — but Not Liberal Ones

School Blocks Conservative Websites — but Not Liberal OnesBy Selwyn Duke

While academics often speak reverently about the “marketplace of ideas,” it seems that many educational institutions opt for a controlled economy of expression. A good example is Nonnewaug High School in Woodbury, Connecticut, where an 18-year-old student found that the school was blocking conservative and Christian websites — but not corresponding liberal and non-Christian ones.

As he conducted research last month for a classroom gun-control debate, Andrew Lampart found that access to the websites of the National Association for Gun Rights and the National Rifle Association was forbidden. Yet anti-Second Amendment pages such as the Newtown Action Alliance and Moms Demand Action were not blocked. Was this merely attributable to the anti-gun paranoia that has some schools punishing children for shaping their fingers as a pistol? Hardly.

Suspicious and curious, Lampart explored websites relating to other issues.

  • Iraq and the Bloody Price of Lies

    2005642_lowBy Selwyn Duke

Western civilization lied and people died.

It lied, that is, to itself.

I am referring to Iraq, but not to the hapless George W. Bush and the claim of WMDs’ existence, which wasn’t a lie at all. What is at issue here is more fundamental. It’s a lie that imbues Bushes, Clintons and Obamas, both the left and the right and most everyone in-between. It is the enlightened position of the modern man, a tenet of our times.

It’s the idea that all peoples are basically the same.

  • Palefaces Skinning the Redskins

    American IndiansBy Selwyn Duke

We did it for Phil Robertson. We did it for Chick-fil-A. And if ever there was a time to circle the wagons, we should do it now to defend the Redskins.

As you likely know, the Washington Redskins NFL team has been targeted by the (selective) sensitivity police, who, fonts of compassion and erudition that they are, have decreed from on high that its name is offensive to American Indians (who I’m supposed to call “Native Americans” — boycott me). Of course, they do have a point. With our central government’s history of violating treaties with the American Indians, breaking promises to Americans in general, and trampling everyone’s rights, the name “Washington” now could certainly be seen as offensive. So perhaps we should just call the team the “Redskins” (joke credit: Mark Levin).

And with team owner Daniel Snyder refusing to capitulate to the sensitivity caliphate, concerned palefaces are piling on. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid called the team’s name a “slur” and “racist” and said that Snyder would be “forced” to change it. Last month Reid and 49 other Democrat senators even pressured the commissioner of the NFL, Roger Goodell, to skin the Redskins. And now the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has cancelled six of the team’s federal trademarks, stating, “Petitioners have shown by a preponderance of the evidence that a substantial composite of Native Americans found the term REDSKINS to be disparaging.” Hey, I guess that as with the militarization of federal agencies, the patent office can, with godlike scope, be all things to all people — including arbiter of “offensiveness.”

  • Hillary Clinton: Vulgar Defender of a Child Rapist?

Hillary Clinton: Vulgar Defender of a Child Rapist?By Selwyn Duke

“What difference at this point does it make!?” asked Hillary Clinton during the Benghazi hearings. Now the prospective 2016 presidential contender may soon want to issue the same query with respect to a couple of more scandals brewing.

One involves a new tell-all book written by Dan Emmett, a Secret Service agent who guarded George H. W. Bush, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton. And, boy, does he have some tales to tell. Thomas Lifson at American Thinker introduces the story, writing, “The real Hillary Clinton is a nasty piece of work. Unlike her husband, who genuinely likes people and understands one or two things about relating to them, Mrs. Clinton is an arrogant, angry phony who disdains the ordinary courtesies toward people who can do nothing for her, in her estimation.” Lifson then goes on to quote the UK’s Daily Mail:

  • Benedict Obama’s Invasion of America

    Greater MexicoBy Selwyn Duke

If millions of soldiers from south of the border were flooding our nation for the purposes of colonizing our land, we would easily recognize the threat. And if some amongst us were aiding and abetting this invasion — purposely lowering border security to facilitate it — we’d know what to call them. And we’d know how they should be dealt with.

This comes to mind when considering the flood of humanity that does continually pour across our border, a phenomenon whose most recent manifestation is the children’s crusade (which includes many teens, some of whom are gang members) currently in the news. Oh, the people trespassing on our land aren’t wearing uniforms; they aren’t wielding cold steel. But this isn’t always necessary. As Muammar Gaddafi once pointed out, some invasions are prosecuted “without sword, without gun, without conquest.” “We don’t need terrorists; we don’t need homicide bombers,” he said. “The 50 plus million Muslims [in Europe] will turn it into the Muslim Continent within a few decades.” Of course, in the waning West, we call this “diversity” and “demographic change.”
